I find it hard to believe all these ECF's have said that, it looks like a scam, or quotes out of context.

Sensitive topic, and it seems all chaos breaks loose whenever disagreements arise. This reminds us of the events in the Garden of Eden, where the serpent (nachash) deceived Adam and Eve, saying, "You shall be like gods" (Genesis 3:5).
The desire to elevate oneself beyond what God intended has been a source of conflict and misunderstanding since the beginning.

In fact Why Have You Forsaken Me is Jesus last sermon to those who were watching Him to die. The words come from Psalm 22 and those well learned in the Scriptures must have recognized it. In that psalm David is saying things he did not experience himself and thus was prophesying -
Ps 22:12 Many bulls encompass me; strong bulls of Bashan surround me;
Ps 22:13 they open wide their mouths at me, like a ravening and roaring lion.
Ps 22:14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint; my heart is like wax; it is melted within my breast;
Ps 22:15 my strength is dried up like a potsherd, and my tongue sticks to my jaws; you lay me in the dust of death.

Ps 22:18 they divide my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.

Exactly! I believe when Jesus was crying out to Yahavah, and after his death a solider said “surely this man was the son of God.” I believe it all intertwined together truly. The Bible is such a useful book and it’s amazing how things interconnect.
