@Eternally Grateful, his John 6:46 quote was a desperate attempt to support the Trinity doctrine. He won't return to acknowledge his mistake... they never do!
Well thats your OPINION.

But I disagree, it proves exactly what was said. No one has seen the father except the son.

It does not matter if their is parenthesis or not. It is a stated fact. No one has seen the father but the son. Adam saw God, he walked with God. so if no man has seen the father, who did adam see?

What do you make of this?

John 2:19 NIV
Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.”

[
The "temple" referenced is figurative, NOT referring to Solomon's temple. For some reason, trinitarians suppose the rest of the sentence is literal.

I can say the same about you. But I don't cast aspersions.

noun
(aspersions)
  1. an attack on the reputation or integrity of someone or something:
You promote erroneous teachings and twist Scripture to support the Trinity doctrine.

This is the truth—difficult, but the truth nonetheless.

19 [a]So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; 20 for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

21 Therefore lay aside all filthiness and [b]overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

Dude, Your pride is getting the best of you. Calm down. He did not misquote the word. Thats your OPINION. it is not based on fact.
The verse was added later, which is why it appears in parentheses! The writer is referring to the glorified Christ, not Jesus in the flesh!

I've been in the trenches all day Wrangler...might be time to take a break coffee:
Its no wonder this was a banned subject. Like so many it brings the worse out of people

In the trenches? What in Gods name are you defending?

This just proves you should back out. Because you can not be taught.

Yes, the body was destroyed, and in three days it was risen.

If that is taking it literal. I am not sure why it is a bad thing

Being told what it is you are doing speaks to none of those things Scott. You were trying to use the Word in John 6 to prove Christ was God....and you got it wrong.

Own it.

Because you can not be taught.

Can you be taught? See the ABC's and 123's of making it easy to understand why the trinity is wrong.

<sigh> Yes, of course I believe in Jesus! The false dilemma of trinitarians is to say if you do not believe in the trinity, then you cannot be a Christ follower. Untrue.

Here are the ABC's and 123's. NOTE: In blue is the specific answer to your question. These ABC’s (OT) and 123’s (NT) will easily demonstrate the monotheist text of Scripture, the perspective through which one ought to view trinitarians vain attempt to impose their tri-une eisegesis interpretation.

Consider the emphatic way God communicated to Moses, by putting his commands in stone. This represents the ultimate way of clear communication in all of human history. By contrast, trinitarian’s sad attempt to read contradictory doctrine into monotheist text ridiculous and cannot hold up to scrutiny. This is why they disregard what follows.

ABC’s (OT)
  • Only YHWH is God.
    • Deut 6:4 (NOG). Listen, Israel: Yahweh is our Elohim. Yahweh is the only God.
  • YHWH is God’s only and eternal name – for all generations.
    • Ex 3:15 (NLT). Yahweh, the God of your ancestors—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you. This is my eternal name,
    • my name to remember for all generations.
  • 1C, You shall have no other gods but YHWH – including the trinity god.
    • Ex 20:3 (NLT) You must not have any other god but me.
123’s (NT)

  • All the Gospels proclaim Jesus is God’s Anointed. None claim Jesus is YHWH incarnate.
    • Matthew 1:1 (VOICE) This is the family history, the genealogy, of Jesus the Anointed, the coming King.
    • Mark 1:1 (VOICE). This is the beginning of the good news of Jesus, the Anointed One, the Liberating King, the Son of God.
    • Luke 1:4 I want you to know that you can fully rely on the things you have been taught about Jesus, God’s Anointed One.
    • John 20:31 (VOICE). These accounts are recorded so that you, too, might believe that Jesus is the Anointed, the Liberating King, the Son of God, because believing grants you the life He came to share.
  • God made Jesus and gave Jesus authority – but not over God, Himself.
    • Acts 2:36 (CEV). God has made Jesus both Lord and Christ
    • 1 Corinthians 15:27 “God has put all things under his authority.”[a] (Of course, when it says “all things are under his authority,” that does not include God himself, who gave Christ his authority.
  • Jesus has a God, who we relate to as Father, who is the only true God.
    • John 17:1-3 (NLT) Father … And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God.
    • John 20:17 ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
  • The resurrected Jesus, sitting on God’s throne in heaven is STILL not God.
    • Rev 1:1 (NLT). This is a revelation from Jesus Christ, which God gave him.
    • Rev 3:12. Jesus invokes his God 4 times in 1 sentence.

1Pe 3:18 - For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit.

Eternally, it's simple...very simple...if you are prepared to misquote the Word and twist it to try and prove someone its not saying, and you are corrected with evidence, then its only right that person states it openly and we move on. Scott did not do this.

lol. Sorry bro, I can not ignore the scripture upon scripture Which proves otherwise.

secondly. In my bible. it is no in parenthesis. So it was not added. all the parenthesis means is that it is not found in every manuscript at best.

3rd, He said he came down from heaven. The pharisees thought he claimed diety (numerous time) thats why they continually went to stone him for blasphemy

dude, You anger is getting the best of you. This is nuts you attacking a brother like this.

All of this still doesn’t negate how “Elohim” can be used, such as at Judges 16:23.

If you insist on applying it to God as meaning plural, then you’re contradicting the Shema of Deuteronomy 6:4, and making it seem that God is schizophrenic, talking to Himself (themselves?) when saying, “Let us make man in our image….” - Genesis 1:28

Was He talking to Himself, or simply talking to someone else?

Hope your day goes well.
The Shema says Elohim is Plural
