The book of the revelation of Jesus Christ tells us of the last two witnesses martyred because of their testimony (and their works) and the passage is immediately followed by a description of the return of Christ. Not everything in that book is in chronological order, but these witnesses are clearly empowered by God through the Holy Spirit. It's not much of a stretch to see them as the last of the generation of the righteous (the entire world celebrates their deaths.) If you consider the end times as beginning with the resurrection of Christ, then all history since that time has been fulfilling Christ's words, and the end times are not completed until His return in glory. If people have thought repeatedly that His return was imminent, that's because the signs of the times have been increasingly resembling what He said beforehand. In the times of Caesar Nero, who would have imagined the rise of the man Mohammad and the rise of Islam? In the days of the Ottoman empire, who would've imagined the rise of Napoleon Bonaparte? And in the 18th century, who would've imagined the rise of Adolf Hitler?
We have such short lives that we consider a decade a long time, but in biblical terminology we're as transient and short lived as a vapor, an exhalation of breath. Biblical prophesy is rarely immediately fulfilled and in some instances is fulfilled more than once, particularly when the initial fulfillment is a sign of something greater to come. If you look at rabbinical explanations of prophesy you'll find that many messianic prophecies are considered fulfilled without the coming of any messiah, but the new testament perspective is that all things ultimately point to Christ and His kingdom regardless of earlier and lesser fulfillment. While some people see scripture as a rule book and guide for living, I see it's primary purpose as the revelation of God in the person of His Son so that we may be first reconciled to Him and then get to know Him intimately and walk with Him, even as Adam did in the beginning.

I found it interesting that the number 666 only appears twice in the body of scripture, once in the book of the revelation, and the other in chapter 10 of 1 Kings.
"The weight of gold that came to Solomon yearly was six hundred and sixty-six talents of gold,"
I missed this repeatedly when I was young because older translations of the bible described the number rather than explicitly stating it. I'm reasonably sure that nothing in scripture is random so it might be worth your time to investigate the life and works of Solomon, called the wisest man that ever lived.
In scripture you may find many "types" that reveal something of the person of Christ in other people. E.g. Hoshea, son of Nun, whom Moses called Joshua (yes, same Joshua as the book of that name and his father's name "Nun" literally translates as "eternity." ) Likewise, there appear to be a number of "types" of the anti-christ as well.
King Solomon is typically lauded for his wisdom and his wealth, but we do find a number of comments about his apostate acts, not the least of which was an addendum to the Song of Solomon:
"11Solomon had a vineyard at Baal Hamon; He leased the vineyard to keepers; Everyone was to bring for its fruit A thousand silver coins."
If you look up the meaning of Baal Hamon (master of abundance), you'll find that it means the same thing as "mammon" (wealth personified.)
We already have a false gospel commonly referred to as a prosperity gospel being preached in a lot of pulpits. I suppose we have to ask ourselves if wealth is a blessing or a curse (and New testament scripture tends to suggest the latter.) Which of the 7 churches in the book of the revelation is chastised as wealthy, yet wretched? Who is seated upon the throne of our hearts?
If God linked the apostasy of Israel to their blessing (and He did in the Song of Moses in the book of Deuteronomy) why would we imagine the apostasy of the church to be different?
“But woe to you who are rich,
For you have received your consolation.
25 Woe to you who are full,
For you shall hunger.
Woe to you who laugh now,
For you shall mourn and weep.
26 Woe to you when all men speak well of you,
For so did their fathers to the false prophets. " Luke 6:24-26
The Lord has given us a great deal of scripture on the topic of money and misplaced trust. We just prefer to ignore anything that places limitations on our wallet and check book, but it's no coincidence that the power of the anti-christ is described in economic terms, trade, and trust.

I used to think that 7 was the number of completion and probably because esoteric teachings said so, but all creation was completed in the sixth day, not the seventh: 31And God saw everything that he had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. The beginning of the 2nd chapter of Genesis goes on to say that God finished His work on the seventh day and rested, but the implication of those verses is that the last part of God's work was not the creation (which in the sixth day was "very good.") Kinda makes you wonder what He was doing in those dark hours before the dawn of the seventh day.

THE ANTI-CHRIST is none other than Satan! He has always been in enmity with Christ.
Genesis 3:14-15:
14) "And the LORD God said unto to the serpent (Satan), Because thou has done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thy go, and dust shall thou eat all the days of thy life:
15)And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."

I am under the impression that "6" is the number of man; "7" is the number of perfection"; and 10 is the number of completion.
For example there are SEVEN WORLD EMPIRES:
1. Gold, Babylon
2. Silver, Medo/Persia
3. Bronze, Greece
4. Iron, Rome
-- Clay, "Divided Kingdom"
-- 5. Lion/Eagle, U.K./U.S.
-- 6. Bear, Russia
-- 7. Leopard (actually a TIGER), China
-- 8. Dreadful, United Nations -- "was and is not" because it has NO Geography, NO Populous, NO Army, etc.
9. Millennial Kingdom
10. Eternity in Heaven

Who is him that hath understanding?
The entirety of the nearly 7 billion from all religions, nationalities and tongues per chapter 14?
Or just a few per capita?
So, the 3 angels of chapter 14 are late for the party, or are they identifying and warning the nearly 7 billion of something bad going on?

I saw that movie (I've always been a fan of Arnold Schwarzenegger back to his days as Mr. Universe), but there's nothing in scripture that actually says that. I'll grant you that the scripture actually does describe both the spirit of antichrist and the spirit of error, the spirit of this age, etc., but nowhere in scripture is Satan given attributes like God's as in omnipresence, omniscience, or universal spirit. In 1st John we're told that there are many antichrists in the world as evidence that the Antichrist is coming, so your reasoning is putting the cart before the horse. Is Satan greater than God so that he can multiply his spirit and spread it to people all over the world before he arrives in person?
I won't tell you what to believe other than the gospel (belief in the gospel is a commandment), but elevating Satan by ascribing the attributes of God to him is pretty much what he wants.
"The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you." Romans 16:20
You will not understand until chapter 14, when the 3 angels warn you, then prepare you to be slain...
12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.
13 And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them.
You better pray to make the rapture before this event.
That makes more sense, especially in light of the book of Hebrews and our entry into that rest promised to God's people.
