All sins have been paid for IF we are sorry for them and IF we ask forgiveness.
Do me the honor of showing me where in the Bible your comment (on these IFs) is supported. Here you have two prerequisites for a person to get saved. The only issue one needs to follow is to have faith in Christ. How much faith? Anymore than none at all. Unbelievers do not need to have the correct theology down pat before than can get saved. Simple faith in Christ, since the Holy Spirit convinces the unbeliever of their unbelief.

The only eternal consequences that unbelievers will ever experience is if they reject God's offer of salvation.
Thanks for responding.
What will that eternal consequence be for non believers?
I dont know what you believe so I need to ask.
Please give some Scripture with your answer.

The eternal consequences for non believers who do not accept God's offer of salvation is to be destined to the Lake of Fire. They are lost forever.

I rather think we both agree on this question. The Scripture that teaches this to us are the same ones you use!

Did you know that Jesus gave an alternative gospel to the non believers who would not believe in Christ.

Never heard of this before.

I only know of one gospel in the new testament.

What is this alternative gospel?

I use inductive method of interpretation btw

What is this alternative gospel?
Here it is: GJohn 10
37 Do not believe me unless I do the works of my Father.
38 But if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father.”

No other religious founder can say the words Christ said in vs 37. Christ, believe it or not, told the non believers to NOT believe me unless I do the works of my Father. These works are prophesied in the OT to inform the Jews what miracles the Messiah would perform.

Now here's the statement that floored me the first time I saw it: 38 But, if I do them, even though you do not believe me, believe the works...
even though you do not believe me, believe the works...
So, the alternative is if you don't believe in Jesus, believe the works...

I am still examining this, so don't quote me just yet.

Also, I wrote a brief post on The Two Condemnations. You can search for it then read it, it is not that long.

I hope you do not believe in direct operation of the Holy Spirit on the individual.
What I mean is, I hope you do not believe the Spirit tells you directly what Scripture means.

The Holy Spirit worked this way before we had His revelation.
Once the revelation of the Spirit was completed.
The Spirit now guides us through the written word.

So to rightly divide Scripture we use the Scripture.
The Bible itself is it's best interpreter.

We know how God saves us not apart from the written word, by the Spirit directly telling us.
But by the Holy Spirit working through the word.

1John 5:13,
- these things I have written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God

We know we have eternal life by what is written.
Not by the Spirit coming directly to us.

You can never understand the Bible if you don't read the Bible.

Someone who believes the Holy Spirit directly speaks to them today would have direct knowledge without even owning a Bible.

This belief is a HUGE hindrance in rightly dividing Gods word.
43,000 different denominations have been born because of this belief.

Paul wants us all to think and speak the same thing.
To be of the same mind, 1Corinthians 1:10.

This is impossible if the Holy Spirit whispers something in your ear and 30 years later whispers some contradictory interpretation of the same passage in another's ear.

I'm telling you this because the Bible cannot be understood with this method of interpretation.

Gods revelation is completed.
Therefore no latter day revelation will be given.

Jude 3,
- the faith that was(past tense) for all time delivered(past tense) to the saints

I just had a conversation on here with a member that had her own interpretation of the parable of the two sons, Matthew 21:28-32.

She believes the Holy Spirit directly reveals to her what the parable means.
Her interpretation is not taught by anyone except her.
I tried to find one source on the internet that interprets the parable the way she does.
I could not find one other person.

Holy Spirit today teaches us through His word not apart from it.

Holy Spirit today teaches us through His word not apart from it.
So, if the Holy Spirit only teaches us through the written word, then how come my spirit became Born Again, having never read a Bible?

Whose testimony revealed God to me, by what means?..and by who?

Your mind is closed to heart/ spirit revelation...do you even know what that means?

Do you think that you know God ,just by reading a Bible?

What does Gods word confirm?

You must be Born Again to see the Kingdom Of God......how do you think that we become Born Of The Spirit?..

Please don’t teach that we can only be Born Again and saved from eternal damnation...by only reading a Bible, that is utter nonsense.

For the record..The Holy Spirit is Gods Living testimony...what do you think that means?

We know God deep within our hearts..because our spirit has been reconciled back to him, when our spirit came Alive in the Spirit of Christ?...Spirit gives birth to spirit..you think you can read that into being....think again, only the Spirit can perform that Living supernatural act....Gods Spirit is a Living Spirit..what does it accomplish when he sends it out of his mouth?

You just told me you were saved without the gospel.
That is impossible.

1 Corinthians 4:15,
- for though we have ten thousand instructors in Christ you have only one spiritual Father, for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel

God Himself declared His gospel is His power to save,
Romans 1:16,
- for I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for  it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes for the jew first and also for the Greek

No one is saved without hearing and believing the gospel.
God says faith comes from hearing His word.

No hearing, reading the word no faith.

Romans 10:17,
- so then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God

Romans 10:14,
- how shall they call on Jesus in whom they have not believed, and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard, and how shall they hear without a preacher

Can you show me one person in the new testament that was saved without hearing the gospel then believing and obeying it?

Never heard one Bible example of someone being saved without the word(gospel) being taught to them.

You just told me you were saved without the gospel.
I told you that I’m Born Again...you aren’t saved , not until your spirit is Born Again @Titus ?

When you understand Born Again and what it means, we may then have a discussion.
That is impossible.

1 Corinthians 4:15,

No one is saved without hearing and believing the gospel.
God says faith comes from hearing His word.
Faith is a supernatural gift from God..hearing the gospel doesn’t birth one’s spirit.

We must be Born Again to see the Kingdom Of God...it’s because of the good news , that we can become Born Again.

Jesus had to die and be resurrected, that is the only way back to our Spirit Father...we are reconciled back to God in our spirit....not by reading a Bible...the word confirms what I say.

Romans 10:17,
- so then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God

Romans 10:14,
- how shall they call on Jesus in whom they have not believed, and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard, and how shall they hear without a preacher

Romans 8

King James Version

8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.
9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.
19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
20 For the creature was made subject to vanity, not willingly, but by reason of him who hath subjected the same in hope,
21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.
22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now.
23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.
24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Can you show me one person in the new testament that was saved without hearing the gospel then believing and obeying it?
Can you show me that we aren’t Born Again by heart revelation?..do you know what that means...as you evaded the question, the first time I asked you what it meant?
Never heard one Bible example of someone being saved without the word(gospel) being taught to them.
Nonsense.you lack heart knowledge, you only have head knowledge......no good posting scripture, when you can’t even answer my questions ..that were Spirit questions?
No one can come to the Father except through the Son..I asked you spirit questions, you answered not one..you just posted a load of scripture to try and support your nonsense of a case.

No one can say Jesus is Lord except by the Holy Spirit?

Spirit gives birth to to spirit..which means what?

You need heart revelation to know God/ Jesus.the Bible confirms this..

You sound as if you don’t even know what that means....we are Born Of The Spirit....we are not Born Of the Bible knowledge.

You have much heart revelation to learn..

You would not even know there was such a person as the Holy Spirit if the word had not revealed Him to you.

1 Corinthians 2:12-13,
- now we have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God
- these things we also speak not in words which mans wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches comparing spiritual things with spiritual

The Holy Spirit teaches us through His revelation the gospel.

Ephesians 3:4,
- by which when ye  read you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ

The power of the Spirit is in the word,

Hebrews 4:12,
- for the word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any two-edged sword piercing even to SOUL AND SPIRIT and of joints and morrow and is a DISCERNER OF THE THOUGHTS AND INTENTS OF THE HEART

The power of God unto salvation is in His Word, the gospel.
You cannot be saved without it.

You lie...you have denied the scripture that I posted and still no answer to my questions.

How do you know God, by whose Living testimony?

Who is the Living word?

Who is the Living seed?

You keep your lies to yourself...I will keep uncovering your lies, that one must read a Bible to be Born Of The Spirit.

The power of the Spirit is in the word,
The power of the Spirit is Alive and Active..he’s not the Bible...you are in error and teaching a false testimony, which is your testimony...I will keep uncovering your lie.

Hebrews 4:12

New International Version

12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

The Living word is not the Bible...the word confirms this truth.

I never claimed the Spirit is the Bible.
You cannot seperate the Holy Spirit from His work.

He revealed the word.
Holy Spirit is revealing Himself to us through His revelation.
God is revealed through His word.

Hebrews 1:1-2 says God speaks to us through His Son.

How do we know what Jesus says to us?
The Holy Spirit revealed Jesus' teaching through the word.

Can't be saved without the word of God, His gospel, Romans 1:16

Scripture please, where it says that Holy Spirit is revealing himself to us through his revelation?
Where are those exact words of yours in scripture?

The Spirit reveals himself to our heart..God says seek him out with all of our heart for there is where we will find him?

The Bible confirms this.
God is revealed through His word.
God is revealed to our heart ,by His Living testimony?
We are Born Again by Gods Living testimony....
Hebrews 1:1-2 says God speaks to us through His Son.

How do we know what Jesus says to us?
The Holy Spirit revealed Jesus'teachung through the word.

Can't be saved without the word of God, His gospel, Romans 1:16
Can’t be saved from eternal damnation..unless one spirit is Born Again...all biblical.

The gospel does not birth our spirit...it’s because of the gospel that we can become Born Again...by the death and resurrection of Jesus.

The Bible does not reunite our spirit back to the Living God...The Spirit birth does that.when Spirit gives birth to spirit ..the Bible confirms that truth.

You cannot seperate the Holy Spirit from His work.
The Living Holy Spirit is separate from the Bible.he is his own person, the Living testimony for God...he witnesses to our spirit that God is a Living supernatural divine Spirit?..the Spirit is Alive...the Bible is not Alive in Spirit...the word confirms this.

Please do not carry on telling me, that I can only know God by hearing the gospel, that is your belief and not my belief...

I became Born Of The Spirit,by supernatural divine heart revelation...Biblical.

Now you either respect that and move on....otherwise if you continue to argue, which we are both doing, we may get this thread locked.

Your testimony and that’s all it is, is your testimony and belief.

My testimony on how I came to know God in my spirit, is my testimony and belief...no one can come to the Father except through his Son Jesus...

Jesus Name...must come before any rebirth can take place...

What does this verse have to do with a literal interpretative method? Try to answer this question without posing another question. Anyone can ask questions all day, but to make propositional statements takes a lot of studying the Word.
Sorry K. I don't know what you mean.
I'm not here to discuss METHODS or PHILOSOPHY....too dumb for that.

I'm here to discuss the Word of God.

And

Could you use YOUR method to interpret the verse I posted stating that we MUST obey God?
Thanks.

Matthew 7:19
19Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Matthew 7:21
21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father,

The only eternal consequences that unbelievers will ever experience is if they reject God's offer of salvation.
What does the offer of God's salvation include?
Are there any conditions?

No mention of sin in these verses.

You last comment is correct.
OK
So if we do the will of the Father....
are we sinning or not?

What would be GOOD FRUITS?
Are we allowed to grow BAD FRUIT?

You see K,,,,it's difficult to know exactly what you're stating.

Some on these forums say that it's OK to sin and we're still saved.
Is THIS your belief?

I would say they are the counterfeiters..those who try and graft themselves into the vine, the Born Again are grafted into Spiritual Israel.when their spirit is Born Again.by the Spirit Of God
Matthew 7:21
21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father,
You must be Born Again to be in and do the will of the Father...as a Born Again who has been birthed by the Spirit....is Gods spirit child...we are led by the Spirit to do the will of the Father...

No we are not sinning when we are doing the will of the Father....
What would be GOOD FRUITS?
The fruit of the Spirit develops in our hearts, because we are Born Again, partakers Of the divine nature..it’s inevitable that we will bear the fruit of the Spirit...all in God’s timing.
Are we allowed to grow BAD FRUIT
How can a Born Again grow bad fruit, when they are birthed..partakers Of the divine nature ...our old man starts to die, the moment we are birthed.

A Born Again cannot carry on sinning as they have been Born Of God.
