I could tell you to get the hell off your high horse before God knocks you off it, but I won't. The fact is "damn" isn't a curse word. God don't have curse words except what is not the truth. That being said, preachers are saying more curse words in churches than I say here, and they never utter the word "damn". The fact is that Jude DID say that angels left their own habitation and had sex with strange flesh. That is what the Bible said....
I am not riding any "high horse". I'm just doing what I think is reasonable when I see something that is not fitting for a Christian to do. The way you use the words "hell" and "damn" have absolutely no parallel with how they are used in scripture.
I did not enter my post as a respose to anything that had to do with angels and stange flesh, but since you quote Jude as thought you think he would stand by your side, remember the other things that Jude had to say, such as archangel's dispute with satan:
"But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses,
did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"
Now why do you think Michael was so careful how he spoke to satan? If anyone, he could have told him to "go to hel"l, but all he said was "The Lord rebuke you!"
Obviously there is a heavy responsibility in the choice of words we use, and the way we use them. We need to be very careful with what we say and how we say it,
especially when we are among brothers. Your attitude needs to change, and I am well within my right to point this out without being accused of judging you.
There is a difference between "judging", and "making judgements". For example, to jude someone would be to condemn him - categorizing him as a "bad person", an idiot, someone who is hopeless, or something like that.
To make judegments about something you feel your brother is doing wrong in the hope he will
correct them implies
faith in your brother, not condemnation. This is something that scripture
urges us to do!
