It is the same God who judges the dead and the living. What have the dead to do with the living?

It is the same God who judges the dead and the living. What have the dead to do with the living?
In his letters Paul began from where people were at, while he reasoned with them as he pointed them to their need for Christ. If all you read was Romans...you might be right. But Paul wrote much more than Romans.
Scripture against scripture, line upon line, here a little, there a little. Have you not read this?
How do you know this?
I mean about WHEN Peter was saved...
Tomorrow.
I feel when I read Romans that Paul is speaking to me a Gentile, while elsewhere he was talking to the Jews. The final conclusion is the same but he reasoned with them starting from their point of view.Yeah, I guess they got the name of the book of Romans wrong. Silly me.
Either way, as the record states, they were only "called."
Israel's backsliding is a fact!
So you believe the Apostles were not saved when they walked with Jesus ?How I KNOW? Scripture.
1. Jesus’ told his disciples that would happen after Jesus returned to Heaven.
2. After Jesus’ returned to Heaven. His disciples received the HS.
3. Receiving the HS IN a person, IS being Baptized with the HS, and SAVED.
(1) Jesus tells them.
John 14:
[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever
[26] But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John.15
[26] But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:
John.16
[7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
(2) Jesus returns to heaven.
Luke 24:
[50] And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
[51] And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
[52] And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great
(3) Disciples receive their Salvation; the Baptism of HS IN them.
Acts 1:
[13] And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
[14] These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
[15] And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples, and said, (the number of names together were about an hundred and twenty)
Acts 2:
[4] And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost...
The Pharisees thought that too.
Only a blind person cannot see God's dealings with his chosen people.I have seen no applicable Scriptures you have quoted.
A man who can LOSE his salvation. Can lose it Because he never received it.
It is the same One God over all peoples.Gentiles are NOT ISRAEL...irrelevant to Gentiles receiving Salvation forever, before their physical DEATH, once and forever.
We are all one in the eyes of God.Pharisee were Jews. I am not a Jew.
And BTW Paul was a Pharisee, and Became SAVED BEFORE his physical death, same as I have become Sav-ED Once and forever, BEFORE my physical death.
I must read the link you gave. The teaching is so profound.EG,
I don't know any Christian that depends on himself for salvation.
Isn't this why Jesus died for us? So we could depend on Him for our salvation?
As to John and 1 John 2:19...did you ever study John and gnosticim?
Seems like you've heard it before...maybe it's right?
If you're at all interested, the net is full of information for John's letters and why he wrote them.
Here is one interesting site...start at page 42 to about 44
https://digitalcommons.georgefox.edu/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=1361&context=wes_theses
Regarding also THE ANNOINTED, please read the above link.
John was not concerned with atheists....but with false teachers infiltrating the church...
and mostly and basically gnostics.
I don't need to depend on John,
Paul also wrote of how we could forfeit our salvation.
Every one of his letters told of how we are to behave...
I'd also love to have an explanation of
Colossians 1:21-23
21And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in evil deeds,
22yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach—
23if indeed you continue in the faith firmly established and steadfast, and not moved away from the hope of the gospel that you have heard, which was proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, was made a minister.
It is the same One God over all peoples.
We are all one in the eyes of God.
Peter spent 3 years walking and talking with the Lord of Glory and never had a conversion experience? Absolutely impossible.
People don't "receive salvation" upon conversion. Nowhere in the Bible is this taught.
Are there more than one type of salvations? How can I "receive salvation" at conversion and then be saved after I have endured to the end?
I already answered that.
What ridiculous nonsense. No one could simply read Romans and get that from it.
So you believe the Apostles were not saved when they walked with Jesus ?
Only a blind person cannot see God's dealings with his chosen people.
no one who truly believed ever fell away.
they were not of us, if they were of us they never would have left.
we can not ignore what the apostle John said
