you don't even know what you believe
why am I not surprised
What God has written on our hearts is known to us, but it may not be expressible in understandable words to everyone who might ask for an explanation. God can explain but He may or may not open our mouths to speak that explanationt. Considering how high God is and how low we are, why indeed should we be surprised?

Give God the glory!

We have theological terms that simply indicate what stream of thought we fall into on any given subject. My point was simply that OSAS is based on a systematic theology centered on the sovereignty of God as the one who predetermines a persons salvation. So, regardless of of whether or not you buy into the system, that is how the concept was originally derived.

Thank you.

Well I guess I am not a Calvinist then. :)
I know this is not a predestination thread...but I do not believe at all the some are destined to be saved, and some not... If that is from Calvin then it's wrong. I see predestination differently than Calvin.
I believe that when God said "Whosoever" He meant Whosoever!! ✟
Hey, somethings we do agree on . :D

"fear" can also be translated "worship." they mean the same thing
you worship what you fear.

@GodsGrace

Fran..I saw your questioned on this. Hope this helps.

Matthew 4:10 Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Deuteronomy 6:13 Thou shalt fear the LORD thy God, and serve him.

Also sacrifice ( fear of the Lord) and worship...

Gen 22 And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of. ( sacrifice)
Gen 22 5 And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you."

Somewhere else too , a much better comparison...Jesus mentioned worship, which was a quote from the OT using the word fear....but I forget.
Memory a bit "short and fuzzy" these days lol

I am treading water...

That's the type of attitude you been giving everyone ever since I came here.
You are a negative person.
Is there anything positive you can say right now?
sorry? what "negative" do you perceive in any of the statements?
change your mind already, Rollo? :)

i must be a god, lol

I'm from New York.
I live here now.
Then, apparently yo forgot about American English. We use LOTS of euphemisms and figures of speech.
Had you known that - you would never have made the moronic comments you made in post 1024 . . .

Do you know every euphamism in the English language?
Do you know every new one?
So besides being a liar, now you call me a moron.
And you just asked me for a post where you called someone a name!
Pretty funny.

BTW, post 1024 is yours.

Did you ever read Mathew 5:3-10?
You should. You might learn how to join the Kingdom of God.

I was referring to the remarks - NOT the person.
Looks like you BOTH need a lesson in basic English . . .
