Christianity has evolved from Acts 2:38 to "believe only"?

Is this okay with God?

Lets ask Jesus.

Jesus said..>"All that believe in me, i give unto them eternal life, and they shall never go to Hell (Perish)."

Do you see any water in that verse? So, is Jesus confused and forgot to say..."and water baptism"?

He isn't confused.....no worries.

So, you can believe that, or you can follow the water cults that want you to believe in water baptism and emphasize it exactly as Catholic place a ridiculous emphasis on Water and on MARY.

Jesus never did, and never does.

Its really up to you, READER.... and you are accountable for what you believe, as you are the believer. @Truther

This is pure Grace...

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Obey and celebrate it.
In Acts 2:38, "for the remission of sins" does not refer back to both clauses, "you all repent" and "each one of you be baptized," but refers only to the first. Peter is saying "repent unto the remission of your sins," the same as in Acts 3:19. The clause "each one of you be baptized" is parenthetical. This is exactly what Acts 3:19 teaches except that Peter omits the parenthesis.

*Also compare the fact that these Gentiles in Acts 10:45 received the gift of the Holy Spirit (compare with Acts 2:38 - the gift of the Holy Spirit) and this was BEFORE water baptism. (Acts 10:47)

In Acts 10:43 we read ..whoever believes in Him receives remission of sins. Again, these Gentiles received the gift of the Holy Spirit - Acts 10:45 - when they believed on the Lord Jesus Christ - Acts 11:17 - (compare with Acts 16:31 - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved) BEFORE water baptism - Acts 10:47. This is referred to as repentance unto life - Acts 11:18.

*So, the only logical conclusion when properly harmonizing scripture with scripture is that faith in Jesus Christ "implied in genuine repentance" (rather than water baptism) brings the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18). *Perfect Harmony*

It’s clear to me, Satan has blinded the minds…
The god of this world (Satan) has blinded the minds of those who do not believe the gospel (2 Corinthians 4:3,4) by refusing to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of their salvation. (1 Corinthians 15:1-4)

John 3:18 - He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who (is not water baptized? - NO) does not believe is condemned already, because he has not (been water baptized? - NO) because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The sister verse with that is “he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved” (Mark 16:16). You should link them together and see what you come up with.

Good morning Dan, how is my Acts skipper friend doing today?
Then Peter said unto them , repent and be baptized every one of you for the remission of sins and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
He was talking to sinners without repentance, without remission of sins and without the Holy Ghost. Not saved Saints. Come on Dan.

Correct, the death, burial, and resurrection that we are to partake in is this…

Repent(death) and be baptized everyone of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins(burial)and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost(resurrection).

This is a perfect companion verse with this one that you posted…

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believe it not shall be damned.

Acts skippers have a lot of faith in their faith.

The Acts skipper says stuff like this in the back of their mind… he believeth with all his mind, and with all his soul with all his strength, in their faith might be saved.
It just matters how hard and intense you believe.

They call it… “the point of faith“.

They say you don’t really have saving faith until you reach a certain point… Lol

I did not skip Acts and I actually cited multiple verses from the book of Acts in post #62. You need to learn how to properly harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching your conclusion on doctrine. Instead, you prefer to isolate pet verses, build your biased doctrine on them (resulting in eisegesis) then you try to force the rest of scripture to "conform" to your biased doctrine. That's called "flawed hermeneutics."

This is a perfect companion verse with this one that you posted…

He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved, but he that believe it not shall be damned.
Another example of eisegesis and flawed hermeneutics on your part.

Mark 16:16 - He who believes and is baptized will be saved (general cases without making a qualification for the unusual case of someone who believes but is not baptized) but he who does not believe will be condemned.

The omission of baptized with "does not believe" shows that Jesus does not make baptism absolutely essential to salvation. Condemnation rests on unbelief, not on a lack of baptism. So salvation rests on belief. NOWHERE does the Bible say "baptized or condemned."

If water baptism is absolutely required for salvation, then why did Jesus not mention it in the following verses? (3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26). What is the 1 requirement that Jesus mentions 9 different times in each of these complete statements? *BELIEVES. *What happened to baptism? *Hermeneutics.

ONCE AGAIN

*John 3:18 - He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who (is not water baptized? - NO) does not believe is condemned already, because he has not (been water baptized? - NO) because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

You did not get baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and teach others not to.

Thou art an Acts skipper.

Notice how you debunked the verse that you posted? He that believeth…And is… Baptized…. You made it say something else. Thou art the man.

That is slander.
No, good truth preaching.
I will tell you what… If you right here and now say that you baptize in the name of Jesus Christ, and you teach others to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins then I will apologize.
