But I don't worry about it
Apparently you do
let's not get confused about your ability to reform yourself.
Let's no let what God says in His Word get in the we of what we believe
2 Timothy 2:19 - the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.
will it be useful to hate sin?
Proverbs 8:13
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way
He was not "born again"
The scripture does say he was the first born from the dead - Colossians 1:18 and Revelation 1:5
Jesus said Himself on the Cross that the Father had forsaken Him which was done for our sin (Jesus never sinned)
This means Jesus was separated from the Father to pay for our sins, the wages of sin is death which is much more than dying physically, it is being separated from God as there is no darkness in God.
Jesus tasted of death (separation from God) for every man - Hebrews 2:9, as He was our substitute
So He was separated from God for us, and had to be brought back from being separated from God
This is also why God's Word says He was justified in the Spirit - 1 Timothy 3:16
