So did God cause them to refuse to believe, or was that their own doing? Just like you refuse to believe Scripture even when it is presented to you. That's your own stubbornness, since God wants people to believe His Word.
We are saved through faith alone in Jesus Christ; and this produces a changed life. Every cult in existence; and every world religion except Christianity teaches that salvation is by works. True Christianity alone teaches that salvation is by grace through faith. By now all of you must know the scriptures on this; but you are still arguing for your own opinions. I am thinking of leaving the lot of you.

believers get the idea that they are expert at recognizing hypocrisy in others lol; heck, "lost" ppl can do that just fine right. Imo part of hearing is being able to hear yourself being a hypocrite
This is fine but universal atonement doesn't save. Limited atonement saves all for whom God intended. = Christ died for all who want salvation. He didn't die for any who do not, but continue to love their sins more than God.

so, that is maybe a good opinion to have for now, but you should prolly keep an open mind there being as how that does not line up with Scripture, He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world, etc

You are taking Mosaic Law written for wicked unbelievers and trying to force it on God who punished Jesus in behalf of all who believe in him. Pure treachery if you ask me.........

If by faith “alone”, you mean simple belief – then you are DEAD wrong. NOWHERE does the Bible teach this in context.
The Bible DOES teach that true faith = Belief + Obedience (Works)– and it teaches this explicitly (Matt. 5:1-12, Matt. 25:31-46, Gal. 5:6, James 2:14-26).

My thoughts go to Galatians 2:16 and Philippians 3:9, which shows us that it is the 'faith of Christ' which saves us:-
'Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law,
but by the faith of Jesus Christ,
even we have believed in Jesus Christ,
that we might be justified by the faith of Christ,
and not by the works of the law:
for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.'
(Gal 2:16)
'Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss
for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord:
for whom I have suffered the loss of all things,
and do count them but dung,
that I may win Christ, and be found in Him,
not having mine own righteousness,
which is of the law,
but that which is through the faith of Christ,
the righteousness which is of God by faith:
That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection,
and the fellowship of His sufferings,
being made conformable unto His death;
If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.'
(Php 3:8-11)
