Yes, that seems to be the same as what I said, that the word doesn't necessarily refer to sin. As your Strong's quote says, it can mean adversity, affliction, bad, calamity, + displease (-ure), distress, evil ([-favouredness], man, thing), + exceedingly, X great, grief (-vous), harm, heavy, hurt (-ful).

Agreed. Does God create all these? Maybe, but ultimately He Himself is good.

I'm thinking, how would Adam have knowledge of evil if he didn't have an example, an evidence of evil? That being, seeing Eve pick and eat the forbidden fruit.

But did he know Eve just did something evil in front of him? Or did he need to eat too and have his eyes opened to know that was an evil act?

Who created the cunning crafty serpent? Who granted Satan the go ahead to come into His garden?
Who gave humans the ability to disobey Him?
Who designed and created humans ability to choose good or evil?

There is only one Person I can think of. And is wasn't Satan.

Only one tiny little problem with that.......it isn't what God says or even implies in His word. Well we can often be thinking too much, unfortunately, and that is what leads astray. The little grey cells can be very rest-less, when they need to be rest-ful. At rest in the Lord in order to simply receive illumination of the truth from holy writ. The carnal mind of natural man can't figure out spiritual truths. On the contrary the carnal mind is enmity against God for the very reason that it leads astray. Why do our carnal minds want so much to figure everything out on their own? That goes to the root of all our problems really, the roots of the fall....begins with a P and ends with an E.....PRIDE.

How about picking 'Evil' as the proper translation; why do you want to leave that out as the truth, when it is THE Public Interpretation of the Church? It is the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil; right?

Why not use those Words for 'Evil' here, as a Private Interpretation?

GOD didnt create lucifer evil . HE simply gave him and all free will dude .
DID you know that it is not EVIL OR SIN for GOD to desire to be FIRST above all
TO have the pre emience above all . BUT IT IS EVIL for the created to desire such a thing .

Yet if God designed His creatures to have a will that could go against His and do evil (assuming God didn't plan, choose or will for evil to manifest) then isn't it His responsibility to wear the consequences?

Let's assume God did want good and evil to enter His creations. That He wanted to show how good can overcome evil. And that the best way to manifest His character was to introduce evil so forgiveness, mercy, patience, grace etc could become known. These qualities of God could've been explained as a theory but not experienced. That's of course, unless there was an offence, sin, rebellion etc. Then God could unleash these hidden characteristic. The ultimate being His love in giving of His Son as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of evil.

Hebrew does not translate well into English and Greek. You have multiple words for the same meaning in different applications. Hince, the NKJV uses evil in Genesis and calamity in other parts. The translators have to judge where the best word applies.
