Philippians 1:6 KJV
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Philippians 2:12-13 KJV
12) Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13) For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Ephesians 4:21-24 KJV
21) If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22) That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23) And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24) And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

Colossians 3:5 KJV
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

2 Corinthians 10:4-5 KJV
4) (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
5) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

1 Peter 1:13-15 KJV
13) Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
14) As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
15) But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

Romans 5:1-2 KJV
1) Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2) By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 7:5-6 KJV
5) For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
6) But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Romans 6:6-12 KJV
6) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7) For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8) Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9) Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10) For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11) Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12) Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

2 Timothy 2:21 KJV
21) If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work.

2 Peter 1:3-4 KJV
3) According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4) Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Philippians 4:13 KJV
13) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV
13) There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

1 Corinthians 4:3-5 KJV
3) But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged of you, or of man's judgment: yea, I judge not mine own self.
4) For I know nothing by myself; yet am I not hereby justified: but he that judgeth me is the Lord.
5) Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of God.

Romans 8:14-15 KJV
14) For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15) For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Philippians 3:14-16 KJV
14) I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15) Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
16) Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.

There are always more I can add, @Johann , thank you for asking!

Much love!
Amen, very true scriptures.

Brother, may I just say that as there is scripture that says "some save by compassion making a difference, and others save by fear", I wonder if we are seeing a double edge sword there which follows us into our journey as believers. Sometimes we need the fear of the Lord and in another ways or at other times we need His grace, mercy and compassion. Thinking about where the bible also says if we would judge ourselves we will not be judged with the world. Maybe we can take it that if there are things bothering our conscience it is then we need to judge ourselves, since Paul, at the time he said he does not judge himself, had nothing on his conscience.

Last time I was at the vet for my dog I ran into a old coworker there. As we talked I look down and saw her dog had hip problems. I found out later she was there for a second shot as the first did not work. Before I left, I found ten dollars on the floor and asked her if this was hers and it was. I then ask her if she would like some help for her dog and she said yes. I then kneeled down and placed both hands on each hip and prayed. As I got up I could feel the the joy of The Lord and I said to her, "see, The Lord is good all the time." I then left. This was not just for her dog but for her so that she might believe. Like I said, I had no plan to do this. Jesus said for those that believe, "you shall lay your hands on the sick and they shall recover."
Amen, such a wonderful witness for that woman. And Jesus is just plain kind when in His will and wisdom He chooses to show it....it can hurt so much to see your pet suffering.

Brother, I ask you to kindly consider this....that it was for envy Jesus was crucified.

If Christians were to rise up in large numbers and go around healing the sick and casting out devils and seeing souls saved in large numbers, do you think the world and the god of this world would thank us....not to mention "ministers of religion"....? No, quite the opposite.........they would all feel threatened by it and react accordingly.
Sister---and I ask you kindly to consider this---
The Apostle Paul is known for his many miracles and acts of healing recorded in the New Testament. However, there are a few instances where he did not or could not heal someone, which can be seen as indicative of the early Christian understanding that not all sickness would be miraculously healed and that suffering could have a place in God's plan. Here are the instances:

Trophimus:

2 Timothy 4:20: "Erastus stayed in Corinth, but Trophimus I have left in Miletus sick."
This indicates that Paul left Trophimus behind because of his illness, suggesting he was unable to heal him or that it was not the right time for Trophimus to be healed.
Epaphroditus:

Philippians 2:25-27: "But I think it is necessary to send back to you Epaphroditus, my brother, co-worker and fellow soldier, who is also your messenger, whom you sent to take care of my needs. For he longs for all of you and is distressed because you heard he was ill. Indeed he was ill, and almost died. But God had mercy on him, and not on him only but also on me, to spare me sorrow upon sorrow."
While Epaphroditus eventually recovered, this passage suggests that he experienced a significant illness that was life-threatening. It wasn't an immediate or miraculous healing but rather a recovery attributed to God's mercy.
Timothy:

1 Timothy 5:23: "Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses."
Paul advises Timothy to take wine for his stomach issues, indicating a more natural or medicinal approach to his frequent ailments rather than a miraculous healing.
Paul Himself:

2 Corinthians 12:7-9: "Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'"
Paul experienced his own "thorn in the flesh," which he asked God to remove three times, but it remained. This "thorn" is often interpreted as a physical ailment or some other form of suffering.

These instances highlight that even in the apostolic era, not all illnesses were healed through miraculous means. It underscores a theology that recognizes God's sovereignty and the sufficiency of His grace even amidst suffering and physical afflictions.
MARK—NOTE ON 16:17–18 These signs were promised to the apostolic
community (Matt. 10:1; 2 Cor. 12:12), not all believers in all ages (cf. 1 Cor.
12:29–30). All (with the exception of drinking poison) were experienced by
some in the apostolic church and reported in Scripture (e.g., Acts 28:5), but not
afterward (cf. Mark 16:20).
Do you now honestly believe I think God "cannot" perform a miracle? The fact that we are alive and born again is a miracle, don't you think?

The problem is many have become enamored with the gifts and with self
Rather than the CREATOR who gave such gifts unto men .
WHO First did that .
WHO first did that .
He was given great gifts but became enamored with his own self
as though HE were the great power .
They focus on mainly ONE part of the minstiry . gifts and healings
but they often do not care about all things written .
This is a self glorifying problem .
And believe you me , its not just within the pentecostal charasmetic realm . Its all over the place now .
The key is , what is it they really loved . HAD it been GOD , HIS CHRIST
they would haved loved TRUTH , all things HE said and that HE inspired by the SPIRIT in that bible .
But those who often focus on one point , say like prosperity , or say even the word love , or say its etc etc
THEY will heed men who focus on said point . and omit much of the rest .
THIS IS PROOF their love is SELF centered not GOD centered .
1 Corinthians 13:1-13 (NIV)
Verses 1-3:
"If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing."

Explanation: Paul asserts that spiritual gifts, such as speaking in tongues, prophecy, and even miraculous faith, are meaningless without love. He underscores that love is essential for giving these gifts true value and purpose.
Verses 4-7:
"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres."

Explanation: Paul describes the nature and characteristics of love, highlighting its enduring and selfless qualities. This description sets love apart as the highest virtue.
Verses 8-10:
"Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears."

Explanation: Paul emphasizes the temporary nature of spiritual gifts compared to the eternal nature of love. Prophecies, tongues, and knowledge will cease, but love will never fail and will endure forever.
Verses 11-13:
"When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known. And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

Explanation: Paul concludes by affirming that faith, hope, and love are the three enduring virtues, but the greatest of these is love. This final statement encapsulates the idea that love surpasses all spiritual gifts, including miracles, in importance and permanence.
Additional Scriptures Emphasizing Love
Romans 13:8-10 (NIV):
"Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, 'You shall not commit adultery,' 'You shall not murder,' 'You shall not steal,' 'You shall not covet,' and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law."

Explanation: Paul reiterates that love fulfills the law, highlighting its supreme importance over other commandments and actions.
Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV):
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

Explanation: The fruit of the Spirit begins with love, indicating its primary role in the Christian life. These attributes, including love, are more significant than miraculous signs.
John 13:34-35 (NIV):
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

Explanation: Jesus commands His disciples to love one another, indicating that love is the defining mark of a true follower of Christ.
Summary
1 Corinthians 13 is the central passage emphasizing that love is above miracles and other spiritual gifts. Paul makes it clear that without love, even the most spectacular spiritual gifts are meaningless. Additional scriptures, such as Romans 13:8-10, Galatians 5:22-23, and John 13:34-35, further emphasize the paramount importance of love in the Christian life. These passages collectively affirm that love is the greatest virtue, surpassing all other gifts, including miracles, in significance and enduring value.

I dont' know all the details and parameters of what you believe about healing and miracles, brother. You seemed to be objecting to someone's testimony here out of hand, and other things you have said led me to believe you are cessationist. And here you seem to be objecting to healing on the basis of persecution and suffering, so I was pointing out that persecution and suffering can come about BECAUSE of Christians being used of God to perform miracles/signs......not expecting that doctors, psychiatrists, religious leaders nor the devil to be happy when people without credentials horn in on what they consider to be their "turf" and do a much better job than they are doing......it would give rise to persecution and all sorts of false accusations and being numbered with transgressors out of envy. As Jesus is our prime example.

Amen, I certainly agree that it is not always God's will to heal someone, but it is according to His will and wisdom individually. As well as perhaps the measure of grace one has thus far received. Jesus had the Spirit without measure so perhaps that is why it says He healed all. And of course there is also the matter of needing faith.

You have it backwards--Lets just say agree to disagree--I guess Paul did not have enough faith to heal or be healed. I'll let you know when I lay hands on my cat or dog if something happens--I mean, after all, the dog has no faith.

This man, cerebral palsied and his team who NEVER seen a verifiable healing in their lives--Justin Peters. And Justin is a mature, born again man.

Personally I think the Holy Spirit is being blasphemed on a daily basis attributing to Him which does not proceed from Him and should I not agree with you or others I am the one "blaspheming" and yes, we are to test/dokimazo everything in light of the Scriptures.

No need to reply since I am not into "mysticism"

Blessings in Christ Jesus Lizbeth! You know today The Lord had me reread this thread because of a few small testimonies I was led to bring. And these are true and they are small. Nobody knows my calling in here and nobody knows my relation with The Lord and the steps I have had to walk and the suffering I have had to endure. After rereading I see wolves coming to rip and tear these testimonies. I have no abilities to heal the sick or raise the dead.I do not name it or claim it. Matter of fact I do not do the things that are mentioned here. And these things are done in the Name of Jesus. Your hearing will be fine, that is not a name it claim it, that was a prayer. What I know the wolves(2) should be ashamed of themselves. These testimonies are not about me, for I am nothing And He is all. Walking in The Spirit, preaching in The Spirit, healings are Him coming forward in the faithful believer. The righteousness and Holiness that is talked about in here are all His. And this righteousness and Holiness can be found in The Holy Spirit within if indeed we have The Holy Spirit. It has been said, "that greater things than these will you do". That is because He knew that He was sending The Holy Spirit to work in and through us. I come not from a group or a denomination unless you want to call it "the way" or in these times "His". I put my trust in Jesus alone as well as His Word. My very life is in His hands right now as it was allowed for the enemy to touch this flesh. And yet I will rejoice in The Lord as His love for me and faithfulness is beyond measure. My dog has had allergies. His eyes were closing and that is why I needed to go to the vet, to get medicine.Soon I will start my radiation. I am afraid as I also have a flesh. Why would The Lord choose a man as weak as me. And yet He will be glorified through me as long as I have breath. You see, all glory honor and praise belong to Him alone. My name is Rich. I am living in the area that is on the news. I took my dog yesterday to the vet in Butler. If any one finds it in their heart I do ask for prayers.

Amen.....Johann rightly pointed something out recently.....that the "charismatic" and other movements put something else at the centre other than the gospel of Jesus Christ. For example, Charismatic movement put signs and miracles at the centre and the gospel gets sidelined, Pentecostal put baptism of the Holy Spirit at the centre, and NAR puts kingdom now theology at the centre and the gospel kind of becomes secondary. Jesus said signs FOLLOW the preaching of the gospel.....it is the gospel that needs to take centre stage and signs/miracles are meant to be a help to the gospel. Think we need to watch out for doctrines/movements etc in general that put their pet thing at the centre instead of Christ and the gospel...that is a red flag.
Yes , the sole reason for signs and wonders was about the furtherance of the one true gospel .
Now i challenge every man woman and child
to go to and behold this nar realm , this realm of the kennys , the bennys , the pipers and etc .
AND YOU LOOK REAL CLOSE . THEY ALL leading us right back to a place
and that place also is gathering all false religoins of the world as well .
THEY DONT DO SQUAT for the one true gospel . in fact , THEY SOLD the peoples out to THE LIE .
the unity lets be one LIE and it sure as heck aint under GOD or HIS CHRIST that they UNIFY as one under .
ITS all been a sham for years .
And brother here has been against them false prophets for years .
GOD showed this flea something a long time ago .
HE showed me how all the false leaders within christanity would unify with the harlot and all the other
false religoins of the world . That was way way back in the latter part of two thousand and seven .
Six years before francis even came on the scene .
A woman had come into the store i worked at long ago .
She had left a pamphlet . I started to read on it
AND THE FIRST RED ALERT that the religoin of anti christ to merge all religoins , all mindsets all tribes
WAS SENT TO ME . I KNEW in an instant that inclusive co exist dung pile
was gonna be the mindset , the etc to UNIFY THE FALSE
and i knew that the false leaders , including the prosperity teachers , to all of them within christendom
WOULD GO this way .
Bout nearly seven years later , popey comes to power , protestant false leaders go to rome
protestant false leaders make the deal and come back in full force
to usher it right into the realm of christendom . THOUGH believe me , IT was already
being introduced by methods like the seeker purpose drivin life .
THEY BEEN AT WORK SISTER . and now most christains have NO IDEA
and at most only a glint at what christanity ever was or IS . THEY TRANSFORMED SISTER and they did it within .
THEY DID it to the conservative , to the liberal , to you name it they done infiltrated it and claimed it .
THIS delusoin , this mystery of inquity , this spirit of anti christ
has led this world right to the DELUSOIN to gather all , ALL NOT IN THE LAMBS book of life
to the lie , or as they call it the love , TO UNIFY THEM . no longer divided but now united
as one , UNDER THE DEVIL HIMSELF whom they all think and believe this love god this image of god
TO BE GOD . I will expose every ounce of it , but weep not when i get banned sister .
THIS world is DONE with men like me . its all about lets just get along and find common ground crap now . this judge not
junk let the leaven in and the leaven TOOK OVER SISTER and worse so many loved and love to have it so .

So true unfortunately........and one of the things God has against the false shepherds in Ezekiel is that they fail to bind up the wounded sheep. Ezekiel 34 speaks to this, and judging between the lean and the fat sheep, and also how the true Shepherd undertakes to shepherd and lead and care for those sheep who are driven away and not tended to.

Amen...I believe this. The Lord speaks to us in parables.....as well as that these things happened to the Israelites as examples for us......we seem to see a parable/picture of what you are talking about in the journey of the Israelites.......they failed to enter the land at first.....then they had to "die" in the wilderness I(flesh cannot enter) in order to be ready to get across that second obstacle and washing of water, and be circumcised/consecrated a "second" time. Think we even see it alluded to in there being an outpouring of water from the Rock TWICE in the desert. And the Jordan at flood stage being held back all the way to a town called Adam......I believe speaks to apprehending a cleansing that goes deeper than the initial cleansing/baptism of the Red Sea....all the way back to the very root.
Why sister . WHY did they fail to enter into the promised land .
THEY claimed to beleive in GOD . THE PROBLEM WAS THEY DIDNT BELIEVE GOD .
AND YET NOW now today , right now , right now
we got a convenant that has been established that allows anyone access into
and yet THEY BELIEVE NOT JESUS THE CHRIST .
guess what that means . THEY AINT ENTERED INTO THE ONE TRUE COVENANT OF JESUS THE CHRIST .
and guess what that means , THEY CALL GOD A LIAR
and i dont care how many times a day they can say GOD IS LOVE as they make the road and path to him

Yes, I have one problem though--in these last days people are into mysticism with rapturous experiences exceeding the boundaries of Scriptures--false prophets having their ears tickled.

2 Timothy 4:3-4 (ESV)
"For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths."

Exegesis of 2 Timothy 4:3-4
Context
The Apostle Paul is writing to Timothy, his young protégé, providing guidance and encouragement for his ministry. This letter is part of Paul's pastoral epistles, written to address the challenges of leading a church and to offer pastoral advice. In this particular section, Paul is urging Timothy to preach the Word faithfully, in light of both present and future challenges.

Verse 3
"For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions,"

"For the time is coming":

Paul anticipates a future period, which could already be beginning to manifest, where people's receptivity to sound doctrine will wane. This prediction is a continuation of warnings found throughout the pastoral epistles about false teachings and apostasy (e.g., 1 Timothy 4:1-3).
"People will not endure sound teaching":

Sound teaching refers to healthy, correct, and orthodox doctrine. Paul contrasts this with false teaching, which is misleading and harmful. The refusal to endure sound teaching implies an active resistance and rejection of true gospel teaching.
"Having itching ears":

This metaphor suggests a desire for novelty and stimulation. "Itching ears" signifies people who crave messages that satisfy their preferences rather than challenge or convict them.
"They will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions":

People will seek out and gather teachers who align with their own desires and lifestyle choices. This suggests an intentional turning away from truth in favor of teachings that justify and support their behaviors and beliefs.
Verse 4
"and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths."

"Will turn away from listening to the truth":

This phrase emphasizes a deliberate departure from truth. It is not merely a passive drifting but an active rejection of sound doctrine.
"Wander off into myths":

Myths here represent false teachings, fables, or fabricated stories that lack truth and substance. This wandering indicates a straying from the foundational truths of Christianity to embrace speculative or erroneous doctrines.
Theological Implications
The Nature of Apostasy:

Paul's warning highlights the susceptibility of people to fall away from sound doctrine due to their desires. Apostasy, or falling away from the faith, is often driven by a preference for teachings that are more palatable or convenient.
The Responsibility of Believers:

This passage underscores the importance of perseverance in true doctrine. Believers are encouraged to cling to sound teaching and to be discerning of the messages they receive.
The Role of Teachers and Leaders:

Pastors and teachers, like Timothy, are exhorted to remain steadfast in preaching the truth, even when it is unpopular or resisted. The integrity of church leaders in upholding sound doctrine is crucial for the health and faithfulness of the church.
Practical Application
Discernment in Teaching:

Christians are called to be discerning about the teachings they accept. This involves a commitment to studying Scripture and a willingness to reject teachings that do not align with biblical truth.
Enduring Sound Doctrine:

Believers should cultivate a love for sound doctrine and be willing to endure teaching that challenges and convicts, rather than seeking messages that merely affirm their preexisting beliefs and desires.
Faithfulness in Ministry:

Church leaders must prioritize faithfulness to Scripture over popularity. They are tasked with shepherding the flock with truth, even in the face of opposition or apathy.
Conclusion
2 Timothy 4:3-4 serves as a prophetic warning and a pastoral exhortation. Paul foresees a time when people will reject sound teaching in favor of doctrines that satisfy their own desires. This passage calls for vigilance, discernment, and steadfastness in both teaching and adhering to the truth of the gospel. It emphasizes the enduring need for sound doctrine and the dangers of turning away from it in favor of more comfortable but erroneous teachings.

Doctrine over compassion and mercy. Where is your compassion o man. Where is your mercy.
When last did you read your bible?

In the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible, the word "doctrine" appears 56 times in 52 verses. Here are a few examples of its occurrences:

Isaiah 28:9 - "Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts."

Matthew 7:28 - "And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine:"

John 7:16 - "Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me."

Acts 2:42 - "And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."

1 Timothy 4:16 - "Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee."

These examples illustrate the varied contexts in which "doctrine" is used throughout the Bible, emphasizing its importance in teaching, understanding God's truth, and maintaining faithfulness to divine principles.

If it ain't in the Scriptures I don't want to hear it.

what kind of love , what kind of mercy , what kind of compassion
would ever have omitted , overidden , made void the GOD INSPIRED WORDS OF TRUTH .
EVERY WORD OF GOD IS FOR OUR GOOD . what kind of love , mercy or compassion
would omit and twist such words and imply that doctrine dont really matter ,
FALSE LOVE WOULD .
a love that has come of the world and been spoon fed by a very subtile and crafity serpent
HAS INFILTRATED not only the world , not only politics , but EvEN CHRISTENDOM .
THE TIME of the great delusion to believe a lie IS UPON US now .
FOR THOUGH GOD cried through the prophets , through peoples , through his own
THE MANY WOULD NOT HEAR THEM
and now follow a lie they believe to be loving , they beleive to be the solution for all the worlds ills
a love that has promised them world peace n safety , BUT HAS LONG TROD JESUS THE CHRIST UNDER FOOT
in order to attain that UNITY needed for its world peace n safety .
SO allow me a reminder .
WHEN evil is called good , when love rejects TRUTH
when compassion will not correct a sin but rather rebukes those who do so
WHEN a promise of a love cometh that accepts all religoins as knowing GOD
and serving him
and they do so in order to attain to what they THINK will usher in PEACE N SAFETY upon earth .
KNOW THIS
we are right at this TIME right here .
FOR WHEN THEY SHALL say PEACE N SAFETY , THEN SUDDEN DESTRUCTION cometh upon them all
and they will not escape . Watch out a very heavy delusion is now gathering all to beleive in a love
in a love of a LIE that will not save but will USHER DOWN the WRATH OF GOD against them all .

I have resolved to read my Bible thoroughly and use John MacArthur's Commentaries, a resource I deeply value.

Scriptural Commitment:

Psalm 119:105: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." This underscores my commitment to Scripture as a guide for my life.
2 Timothy 2:15: "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth." This highlights the importance of diligent study and accurate understanding of the Bible.
Even evil people can show love and mercy to those they care about.

Matthew 5:46: "For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?" This verse illustrates that showing love to loved ones is not exclusive to the righteous.
I have no problem correcting a person online whom I don’t know, don’t see, and don’t know their style of life.

2 Timothy 4:2: "Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching." This encourages the correction and teaching of others, even in challenging circumstances.
Even Satan can quote Scripture, as you are well aware.

Matthew 4:6: "And said to Him, 'If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you,’ and ‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest you strike your foot against a stone.’” This demonstrates that Scripture can be misused, emphasizing the need for proper interpretation and application.

1 Corinthians 5:11 (KJV)
"But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat."

Context and Explanation
Context
Background:

The Apostle Paul is addressing issues of immorality within the Corinthian church. Specifically, he is dealing with a case of sexual immorality where a man has an inappropriate relationship with his father's wife (1 Corinthians 5:1-2). Paul rebukes the church for their pride and tolerance of such behavior, urging them to take corrective action.
Purpose:

Paul’s goal is to maintain the purity and integrity of the church. By disciplining unrepentant members, the church protects itself from moral and spiritual corruption and demonstrates the seriousness of sin.
Verse 11 Breakdown
"But now I have written unto you not to keep company":

Paul had previously written to the Corinthians (in a letter that we do not have) about avoiding association with sexually immoral people. Here, he clarifies that he means those within the church who claim to be believers yet persist in sinful behavior.
"If any man that is called a brother":

The term "brother" refers to someone who professes to be a Christian, a member of the church community. Paul is specifically addressing behavior among believers, not unbelievers.
List of Sins:

"Fornicator": Someone engaging in sexual immorality.
"Covetous": Someone who is greedy and desires what others have.
"Idolater": Someone who worships idols or puts anything before God.
"Railer": Someone who is verbally abusive or a slanderer.
"Drunkard": Someone who habitually engages in drunkenness.
"Extortioner": Someone who exploits others for personal gain.

"With such an one no not to eat":

Paul instructs believers to avoid social interactions with unrepentant sinners within the church, including sharing meals. In the cultural context, sharing a meal was a sign of fellowship and acceptance. By refusing to eat with such individuals, the church communicates that their behavior is unacceptable and breaks fellowship with them to encourage repentance.
Theological Implications
Church Discipline:

The church has a responsibility to discipline its members to maintain its holiness. This discipline is meant to be restorative, aiming to bring the sinner to repentance and reconciliation with the church.
Community Purity:

Allowing unrepentant sin within the church can corrupt the entire community. Paul uses the metaphor of leaven (yeast) in 1 Corinthians 5:6 to illustrate how sin can spread and affect the whole body.
Witness to the World:

The church’s response to sin is also a witness to the world. By upholding high moral standards, the church demonstrates the transformative power of the gospel and God's holiness.
Practical Application
Church Leaders:

Church leaders must take sin seriously and be willing to exercise discipline when necessary. This involves following biblical procedures for addressing sin, as outlined in Matthew 18:15-17 and 1 Corinthians 5.
Church Members:

Members should support church discipline, understanding that it is done out of love and concern for the sinner and the church community. They should also be vigilant in their own lives to avoid falling into similar sins.
Restoration and Reconciliation:

The ultimate goal of discipline is not punishment but restoration. When an individual repents, the church should be ready to forgive and restore them to fellowship, following the example of 2 Corinthians 2:6-8.
Conclusion
Paul's instruction "not to eat with such a one" in 1 Corinthians 5:11 is a directive for the church to practice discipline by breaking fellowship with unrepentant members who persist in sin. This action serves to maintain the church's purity, encourage repentance, and protect the community from moral corruption. It underscores the seriousness with which the church should regard sin and the loving, restorative purpose of church discipline.

If it ain't in the Scriptures I don't want to hear it, as doctrine is now viewed as an "enemy" of loose morals.

1 CORINTHIANS—NOTE ON 5:10 sexually immoral of this world. Evidently, the
church had misinterpreted the advice in that letter and had stopped having
contact with the unsaved in the world, while continuing to tolerate the sin of
those in the church, which was even more dangerous to the fellowship. See John
17:15, 18. God intends us to be in the world as witnesses (cf. Matt. 5:13–16;
Acts 1:8; Phil. 2:15).
1 CORINTHIANS—NOTE ON 5:11 anyone who bears the name of brother. Paul
clarifies his intention in the earlier letter. He expected them to disassociate with
all who said they were brothers, but had a consistent pattern of sin. not even to
eat. The meal was a sign of acceptance and fellowship in those days. See 2
Thess. 3:6, 14.
1 CORINTHIANS—NOTE ON 5:12–13 outsiders. Paul never intended himself or the
church to be judges of unbelievers outside the church, but to judge those inside
(cf. 1 Pet. 4:17). Those on the outside are for God to judge and believers to
evangelize. Those who sin on the inside, the church is to put out. First
Corinthians 5:13 is quoted from Deut. 17:7.

See John
17:15, 18. God intends us to be in the world as witnesses (cf. Matt. 5:13–16;

Shalom brother.
He who teaches cessationism might know some truths but is no man anyone should learn from .
OH i have watched mcarthur my friend . Its simply better we learn and learned our bibles for ourselves .
It dont matter that if he do have some solid truths . they twist stuff my friend .
OH i am constantly warning about the charasmetic movment , its been heavily influenced and long infiltrated
by a massive number on false ones .
But cessationism is no mindset any one wants to follow or believe .
Folks go to far to the extremes . JESUS is the same today , yesterday and forever
and every gift and etc was and still is meant for evanglizing the gospel
and edifying the church .
SOUND doctrine is top of the list
but men can claim this and yet they too can twist doctrine of their own . cessationism is bad news my friend .
