I believe that the Lord that appeared too Abraham God the Father, because I believe that God the Father has a body of flesh and bone and spirit. This Lord that appeared to Abraham was able to eat and drink with Abraham, which a spirit cannot do. Therefore this Lord could not have been Jesus because I believe at this time before his earthly ministry, Jesus was only a spirit and could not have eaten mortal food.

Remember, God the Father created men and women in his own image and likness. Therefore since men and women have bodies of flesh and bone and spirit, so must the God that created them.

Therefore the Lord that appeared to Abraham on the plains of Mamre was God the Father. This is confirmed when you look a little further in the scriptures:

22 Haste thee, escape thither; for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar.
23 The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar.

Here the same Lord that appeared to Abraham is having a conversation with Lot, who is trying to escape the destruction, and the Lord on the earth is telling Lot to get into Zoar because he cannot do anything until he does.
Then after Lot gets into Zoar, the Lord on earth called down fire and brimstone from the Lord in heaven. This is one of two famous 2 Lords scriptures, where is proven that there are 2 Lords, one is God the Father, who has a body of flesh and bone and spirit and visited and ate and drank with Abraham, and another Lord who was in heaven, Jesus, who was only a spirit at that time. The Lord, God the Father, on the earth, called down fire and brimstone from heaven and the Lord in heaven sent the flying destuction.
