Hi there,
So this might open up your thinking about the Holy Spirit: the parable of the Sower, can be interpreted as being about the Holy Spirit.
We typically think that the Word of God can be about anything, that there are some who receive it and some who don't. But strictly speaking, the Word of God, which is sown, can strictly speaking, be about the Holy Spirit.
There are some that hear about the Holy Spirit at a distance, and it seems to mean nothing; there are some that compare the Holy Spirit with other persons, and fail to see the point; there are some that think nothing of attributing worldly attributes to the Holy Spirit, and they see no reason to trust Him; then there are those that receive the Holy Spirit, begin to hear the Word of God and trust it and do its works.
The dry ground, the stony ground, the ground with tares, and the good ground all reflect stages of spiritual discernment, about the importance of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
The more the Holy Spirit leads, the more we live!
I hope this has been of some encouragement.
God bless.
