Matthew 24:42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

So, just like in Matthew 24:36 and Matthew 25:13, Jesus indicates here that no one knows the hour that He will come. How does this support a pre-trib rapture? Are you implying that people would somehow know the hour of His coming during the tribulation? If so, how would they know that?

If we was on the gong show right now, I would gong you! That didnt answer my question at all. Try again...

Dont ask me what it means, I dont know, remember? Tell me what it means.

(harsh is OK, overly is not)
Yeah, there are lots of ways people use to excuse their behavior towards others. I'm not particularly impressed. I will be impressed, however, IF I see change in your behavior, and not just toward me, but toward others.

Much love!

100% FALSE

Questions:
a.) Are you "waiting for JESUS" ?
b.) Where does verse 10 say JESUS is coming from?
c.) In verse 10 what is JESUS delivering us from? tribulation? or wrath?

Please answer the 3 questions according to verse 10 - thank you
Again . . . Paul includes himself as one who is being saved from the wrath to come. We are not looking for the believers from years past, who have passed away from this world, to make a reappearance, to then be saved from the wrath of the plagues of the 70th week. In fact the wrath that both Paul and the believers at the end of the age will be saved from is the wrath of final judgment.

There is more to this passage than a few "gotcha" questions.

We are waiting for Jesus, who is coming back from heaven. This Jesus is He Who saves us from the wrath to come, all of us who believe, and this is bigger than the end of the age. Otherwise that's what you are facing, that Paul will have to rise from the dead before the plagues begin, so he can then be saved from them.

When you understand this passage referring to final judgment, that's the bigger picture.

But alas, I repeat myself.

Much love!

The LORD is still waiting for your repentance of adding to His words:

Every word of God is pure;
He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.
Do not add to His words,
Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.

PS - LOL, i need not impress anyone on here except My Savior by speaking His TRUTH = Thy word is Truth"

You should try it some time when speaking about the RAPTURE

No, that doesn't even scratch the surface! Many posts on this thread are filled with ridicule of those who disagree, and misrepresentation of their views. It's a shameful display!

Much love!
Calm down. I was talking about what was being discussed today in particular. Based on what this thread is about, there's no reason to think that anyone here was saying there's no rapture at all, but rather are saying there is no pre-trib rapture in particular.

What is the reason that you had to be nasty in your response like this? You said you don't know how to reconcile it with a post-trib rapture, so I thought you were saying that because you see it as teaching a pretrib rapture instead. It wasn't clear that you have no opinion one way or another on it and are asking for help in understanding it.

45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

This is simply about being careful to watch and be ready for Jesus to come, whenever it might be. While we're watching and making sure we're ready for Him to come, we should be going about serving Him and doing His business no matter what is going on in our lives or in the world. So, even if tribulation is going on, He wants us to still be about serving Him however we can until He comes.

Calm down.
Why, how calm do you think I need to be?

Well, actually, I think in reality what you are doing is deflecting with some allusion of emotionalism, as if someone can't point out someone else's poor behavior unless they've worked themselves up into a tizzy, is that the idea?

There is a widespread pattern of those arguing against the pre-trib rapture of insults and misrepresentation. It's childish, and it should stop.

Much love!

LOL. As calm as you want to be. Your exclamation points suggested that you weren't very calm and were completely overreacting to what I said. But, by all means, just have a meltdown about it if you want. I can't stop you.

The multiple exclamation points suggested that you were overreacting to the situation where it was just a misunderstanding that the pre-trib rapture was being denied and not the rapture itself.

There is a widespread pattern of those arguing against the pre-trib rapture of insults and misrepresentation. It's childish, and it should stop.
This is a very biased comment. I saw a post that WPM shared showing a long list of very nasty insults that pretribs have made against post-tribs in these threads. It was stunning to see them all put together in one post like that.

i just returned home from another car drive.

While i was out, the Holy Spirit reminded me of TRUTH and wants you to believe His words as well marks
The Holy Spirit says that 1 Thess 1:10 is referring to 1 Thess 5:1-3 for "the coming wrath" is "the Day of the Lord"

1 Thess 1:10 = 1 Thess 5:1-3 the Holy Spirit is speaking of the Wrath to Come = the Day of wrath also known as the Day of the LORD

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. 2For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. 3For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.

Meditate on His word: "the Day of wrath = the Day of the Lord

Just a few here:
a- Luke 3:7
b- Romans 2:5
c- Proverbs 16:4
d. 2 Thess 2:5-11
e - Col 3:5-7
f - Zeph 1:15
g - Isa 13:19
h - Isa 34:8
i - 1 Thess 1:10 = 1 Thess 5:1-3

You cannot prove your position as i ALWAYS AGREE with RAPTUR of the Saints

You admit to speaking falsehood everytime you say pre-trib rapture = You owe $50.00

The Holy Spirit will never contradict Himself, which is why I counsel that we must always submit our inner thoughts to the Written Word, because our minds are crafty sometimes.

How many heresies have begun with someone saying, God told me . . . and go on to describe something contrary to Scripture?

The wrath to come . . . that will be upon all men not in the faith . . . is not the wrath of the end of the age, that will only be upon those alive in that day. The wrath to come . . . that ALL of the redeemed are saved from . . . is the wrath of final judgment.

If "the Spirit" is telling you something else . . . that the 1st century believers would be present at the end of the age . . . that's a problem, and these things need to be settled in the Bible, not in the thoughts in one's mind.

Much love!

i AGREE with your excellent synopsis of the danger of "God told me this or that"

When i say the Holy Spirit said to me, it means ONLY this = HE is or reminding me of scripture = NO AUDIBLE voice
#1 - NEVER am i speaking of a audible voice
#2 - NEVER adding words upon God's words
#3 - NEVER NEVER NEVER additional 'revelation' that some crazy/deceived people claim
#4 - AGREE with you my Brother @marks = "How many heresies have begun with someone saying, God told me..."
#5 - AGREE = the Holy Spirit NEVER contradicts scripture

marks, i have to go now = too much pain going thru my body and hands

Watching for what ?

You have already determined in your view that the rapture is not going to take place until after the great tribulation - so why are you watching now for the rapture as you claim?

You are not watching for the rapture to happen at any time. And you ridicule my any time rapture view.

You are making every effort to discourage others to the possibility that the rapture could happen pre-trib.

Nasty? Oh grow a pair this is how men talk. You want to play a vicitim card for him because what I said? Maaaann, brother you hang out with the women too much or something.

I know what it means. I wanted it in his words and he couldnt do it.

You seem to have a handle on what it means. (Whenever it might be), so since he keeps telling me I am wrong and spouting lies...and all I'm doing is being ready for when ever it might be, and it says no one knows when, so where is my sin for looking sooner for the Lord?!
