Matthew 25 continues the narrative of His Matthew 24 second coming, and
after that second coming is the judgment of the sheep and goat nations to determine who enters the kingdom on earth that starts at His return.
Mat 25:31 When the Son of man
shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
Mat 25:32 And before him
shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
Mat 25:33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Mat 25:34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father,
inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
These are the nations of people left on earth after His second coming, which agrees completely with Zechariah 14, but disagrees with your scenario.
And BTW you cite the day of the lord verses, but ignore the fact that the day of the Lord occurs in Zechariah 14:1 before His second coming in 14:4-5, where He saves Jerusalem from from complete destruction, then remains there in Jerusalem, and the heathen nations of the world such as Egypt, which is mentioned there, goes up to the city to worship Jesus 14:16 to the end of the chapter.
They remain on earth for the entire 1,000 years Satan is bound, and it’s those nations satan deceives into surrounding and attacking the holy city, who are destroyed by fire coming from heaven, after he is loosed::
Rev 20:7 And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison,
Rev 20:8 And shall go out
to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.
Rev 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Tell me,
just where do you think those nations that Satan deceives and gathers to attack the holy city come from in your scenario?
They are those left alive in Zechariah 14 after Jesus returns, who Jesus let enter the kingdom at the judgment of the sheep and goat nations in Matthew 25.
So your eschatology is flawed, you haven’t examined all scriptures on this issue.
