I don't have a tribe.
I belong to a church that is world-wide...
The Christian Church.
So, you left the church?
Is this biblical?

Hebrews 10:24-25 NIV
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds,
25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—
and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Justification is the initial stage of Salvation, so in light of Ephesians 2:8 and Romans 3:28 - 5:1, it is not incorrect to use Justification as a synecdoche for the whole Salvation process and say that it is by faith. Unless you want to get pedantic.
Nobody knows what the initial stage of salvation is, salvation is a mysterious work of God. We can see the effects of salvation on an individuals life, but we don't know the order or the means, by which God saves His people.
God is a mystery, and we will never know His ways as they are infinitely higher than ours.

Why God elected to save some before time began, and leave others in their sin is a mystery. How He saves those He elected to save is a mystery and the means by which He saves His elect is also a mystery. We do know that His elect are saved by receiving His gift of grace, and through receiving His gift of faith.
So we know that salvation is all of the Lord and we play no part in His work of salvation, His elect are just the recipients of His gift of salvation.

I agree that no man / woman can give themselves the rebirth by inviting God into their hearts.

It’s not biblical and makes absolutely no sense..if you watch closely at some posts, which I’m sure you do.

You will notice that when they say they invited God into their heart, there is no scripture to support that saying..then they will try and use another part of scripture, saying it means inviting God into their heart, anyway Praise God for discernment.

I have also noticed quite a few speak from their own intellect of understanding the Bible?

We can’t do that I’m afraid, only the Spirit can lead us and bring scripture to our understanding.plus it’s all in God’s timing.

I find with some, there is a lot of “ I” studied this and “ I” studied the Bible for many years...no mention of the Spirit whatsoever..that’s most definitely a red flag to me.

I only listen to the Spirit Of God, from day one of my conversion the Spirit has been training me to do exactly that in my spirit, after all we are spirit children, we aren’t children of the world...the worlds teaching makes no sense to my spirit.......they are so confused, they end up confusing me.... I have to walk away or ignore what they say..only God can get them on the right path, all in his timing...Praise God.

New International Version
But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

New Living Translation
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own but will tell you what he has heard. He will tell you about the future.

English Standard Version
When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.

Berean Standard Bible
However, when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come.
I grew up in the Roman Catholic Church, then when I was 19 a friend invited me to a Pentecostal Church service. After the Pastor preached his sermon, he invited anyone who is not sure that they are saved to slip up their hand while everyone's eyes were closed.

I didn't raise my hand until the third time he repeated himself, I opened my eyes and looked up and he was looking straight at me while he kept calling for those of us who were not sure that we would go to heaven if we died in a car accident on the way home. I got the sense that he was not going to stop until I raised my hand so I raised it, then he stopped and said those two people who raised their hands please come down to the front so we can pray for you.

When I got to the front a bunch of Deacons surrounded me and put their hands on my head and began blabbing in tongues I didn't understand. And when they finished, the pastor told me I was now saved and born again.
The problem for me was, I didn't feel any different and I continued to live as I always have with all the besetting sins still dominating me.

I spent 4 years visiting all kinds of Churches, hoping to find one where I could gain membership. But I didn't find any, which preached the whole counsel of God, they were all seeker friendly types of Churches where the sinner was made comfortable in their sin and they never mentioned Gods judgement or hated of sin.

I finally prayed that God would lead me to a faithful Church, and when He did, I found the preaching almost unbearable, because the preaching was very much against my view and understanding of the gospel.
It was the first time I heard the true gospel message and it was awful, because it made me very uncomfortable in my sinful lifestyle and it made me feel very guilty and fearful.

I never knew myself the way God knows me, until I heard the truth of the gospel and it was like holding a mirror and seeing my true self for the first time. It exposed the hidden ugly side, which I didn't want anyone to know about. The Pastor told me that I'm guilty of breaking all of Gods commandments, and I said not so, I haven't murdered anyone, but he said if you ever hated anyone without just cause you have committed murder in your heart and God looks at your heart.

I had to abandon, nearly all of my theology and start from scratch. Because my understanding of the gospel was not biblical, I formed my view based on my expectations of what I believed God was trying to say and that was very different from the awful truth of the gospel.

Thank God I now love the truth, it's no longer awful because I found out that the truth is a person and it is the Lord Jesus Christ. He said "I am the truth" and if we accept Him as the truth, we no longer have to be tossed about by every whim of false doctrine. We simply trust and obey.

In post no. 1349 of a different thread @Christian Soldier posted the following in reply to a post of mine:

You are entitled to your opinion, just as the rest of the 8 billion people are. Just remember, your opinion is only one, so I can chose to believe yours or any one of the other 8 billion opinions out there.

This is why I chose to believe what God said, so with all due respect to ourself. I must reject your opinion and believe what God said, because you're opinion is in direct opposition to God's Word.

I see you follow the crowd, while turning your back towards God. You have placed your faith in 1500 years Roman Catholicism, while denying Gods Word. My Bible describes a great Harlot who deceives the whole world, you have come under Her strong delusion. So you're willing to trample over the blood of Christ to follow Her.

You have made your position clear and stated that "you don't want to know the truth" so I don't want to waste my time trying to share the truth with someone who hates it so mush that they have slammed the door shut on it. I will pray for you, but that's all I can do, unless God quickens you from the dead and opens your eyes.

This was my post no. 1340 to which Christian Soldier replied above:

Christian Soldier,
your post was right above a reply of mine so I coudn't help seeing it.
I say this because I also hesitate to argue about reformed theology, although, as far as I'm concerned, it would be a very important discussion for the simple reason that reformed theology changes the nature of God....no other denomination does this.

I'm not going to look at your chart because I don't know what arminianism is and don't care to learn.

I would like to say this to you.....
My feeling is that ANY theology that was INVENTED in the near past cannot be a correct theology.
I bring the JWs and the Mormons to mind.

HOW could anything that was not seen for 1,500 years possibly be correct?

Were theologians dumb before this?
And I sure hope you don't bring up Augustine...even the CC has abolished his ideas which were accepted back then for very specific reasons. No other ECF believed in destination or the absence of free will.

Just a thought...

****************************************************************************

Christian Soldier:
You've made personal statements and you don't even know me.
So please stick to the topic at hand.

I do NOT post my personal opinion of this forum about the Christian faith.
What I post is what the NT teaches and what every other denomination believes to be true...
except for the reformed.
All denominations teach the gospel of Jesus Christ...the good news.
In reformed theology there is NO good news, except of course for those few lucky ones that God chose,
and for no reason that any of them can determine except that it's God's pleasure.

I don't place my faith in 1,500 years of Roman Catholicism (as you call it).
What I said is this --- I'll repeat:

It's difficult to understand how anyone could follow a teaching that came about 1,500 years after Jesus ascension...
like for instance the JWs or the Mormons.

I went on to say that no one in the early church believed in either predestination or the absence of free will.
I also said that I hoped you wouldn't bring up Augustine....a manachaen that converted to Catholicism after 10 years of being a gnostic.

If you don't care to reply, that's fine with me.
But don't believe that YOU have the truth.

Unless two believe the same exact doctrine, we cannot know what the truth is.
There is one way....to understand the bible as an entire concept and not pick and choose verses that SEEM to agree with
your unbiblical theology.

Perhaps, one day, God will open YOUR eyes and introduce you to a God that cares for His creation,
a God that is loving, merciful, and just.

And get rid of your hatred....
it's rather harmful to your soul and spirit.
One thing that should be stated, which I am not sure if you agree with or not, but if the original sin doctrine is false then Calvin's TULIP loses all of its petals. I, for one, believe the original sin theory is false. Just something to consider if you want to bring the Reformed faith to its knees.

Romans 5 describes what I view as original sin. Read and see if you see what I see.

12 Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned— 13 (For until the law sin was in the world, but sin is not imputed when there is no law. 14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over those who had not sinned according to the likeness of the transgression of Adam, who is a type of Him who was to come. 15 But the free gift is not like the [e]offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. 16 And the gift is not like that which came through the one who sinned. For the judgment which came from one offense resulted in condemnation, but the free gift which came from many [f]offenses resulted in justification. 17 For if by the one man’s [g]offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore, as through [h]one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one[i] Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. 19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, 21 so that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen!..I once thought I was searching my heart looking for God, I now dismiss that...

Not sure why I believed that, I think there is still a tiny part in me Brother that still wants to please people, if you can understand that.

Nope!....can’t do that anymore...what the word of God says goes.

Not manmade doctrine that try to twist and turn the word of God to suit what they want it to say and hear.

Thanks for all of your explanations regarding my posts....I will give them an in depth read later on, as they make much more sense to my spirit, than others I have read on here.

Probably because we agree on how one is Born Again, we 100% agree on that....plus what we have posted on that subject is Biblical, we don’t add our own words to any of the scripture.as being Born Again is so easy to understand...as long as man doesn’t put his own spin on it.... I usually walk away now when that happens....no point arguing over it is there....maybe a few posts...then exit....
It sounds like you're expecting a bit too much of yourself. I know it's a fine balancing act, between remaining faithful to God and pleasing people.

There's nothing wrong with pleasing people if it brings glory to God, if we help a sick neighbor with their chores, they will be pleased with you and so will God. But if another neighbor asks you to come to a party where there will be rock music, drugs and alcohol and fornicating, then we don't want to please that neighbor by joining them.

I did attend such gatherings, and my reasoning was to seek a gospel opportunity. I tried to justify it, by saying that Jesus also went and preached to antisocial people like tax collectors, prostitutes and Sumerians. The only difference was Jesus didn't partake in their sinful activities, while I did succumb to temptation and joined them and committed spiritual fornication.

Gods people don't attain sinless perfection in this life, so we will fall short in may ways. But don't despair when you fall, God has promised to give you the gift of repentance, every time you fall short and He promises to restore you back to a right standing with Him every time.
The fact that we regularly fall, is very frustrating. We would like to do away with in once and for all so it can never tempt us and cause us to stumble, but we can pray and wrestle against temptation so it won't dominate us. We will get the final victory in the life to come.

Amen!...we must be Born Again before we are justified before the Lord.

What is this justification by Faith? It simply is the act of being Born Again by the Indwelling of Christ Holy Spirit.

Man’s faith can’t save them from eternal damnation...only the rebirth/ Born Again/ Born Again of imperishable seed.....that can only be done by divine revelation....that’s the role of the Holy Spirit, to birth our spirit into his...just as his word says...Spirit gives birth to spirit....if they can’t see that it’s by divine revelation...then they have been blinded from God’s truth.

God's Word says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus and not by our own efforts or works (Ephesians 2:8-9). Grace Alone. Faith Alone. Grace alone means that God loves, forgives, and saves us not because of who we are or what we do, but because of the work of Christ.
Well said, I can tell you don't have any faith in the "man centered, works based" gospel, which is so popular today.

I would estimate that over 90% of professing Christians reject Gods sovereignty in salvation. They hold to the "synergistic" gospel, which claims that salvation is not all of God, but it is a joint effort between God and man.

Below is a simple table, which outlines to two opposing gospel interpretations.

I forgot to list the source? Very unusual for me.

Both Calvin and Arminius were Protestant so I don't know what the CC has to do with this...

My point was that Calvinists should look for a different person with whom to oppose Calvin since Arminius was HIMSELF A CALVINIST
WHO FOUND HIS WAY OUT OF THAT UNBIBLICAL FAITH SYSTEM, as he studied theology more and more.

That was my point.
Thanks for sharing your private opinion about Jacob Arminius, but it doesn't help me at all. You haven't shown me any errors with Calvinism, I know it's easy to say this is wrong but that's only your private opinion. I would appreciate it if you could actually point out any errors, before I abandon Reformed Theology.

You can't expect me to embrace your theology, without showing first showing me why and where Reformed theology is unbiblical. If you don't point out any errors, then it shows that you don't know why you're against it, and your just following the crowd.

@Christian Soldier ...what is the general call?

Do you understand that?..I don’t.

I understand the effectual call, where we were chosen and predestined to become children of God...the elect of God..chosen before the foundation of the world....

I think it’s amazing how the elect become Born Again, all planned by God before the foundation of the world....it’s just mind Blowing how he births our spirit into His, Of course we will never understand how he does it by the power of his mighty powerful Spirit, there is no power like it, plus faith, I remember the gift of Faith that I received...boy has it grown Brother, I can’t say it’s be an easy walk, walking in faith, it hasn’t been without ,great suffering, heartache, losing family and friends because of my faith / belief....without my God given faith, I know I wouldn’t be here today.

I Love to give God all the Glory as only he is worthy of Praise and worship...these word just flowed out Brother, hope you didn’t mind me sharing what was in my heart....as what’s been placed in our heart by the Lord must be spoken out.as in speaking by the Spirit....my belief.

Commentary,Short interesting read,

What is the difference between general and effectual calling?
By contrast, the effective calling of God that actually brings about a willing response from the person who hears it is sometimes called internal calling. The gospel call is general and external and often rejected, while the effective call is particular, internal, and always effective.

So for instance, Acts 2:21 says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” this goes along with the passage in Romans 10:5-15 where I just preached a few Sundays ago. God's call to sinners for salvation is expressed in two ways in the New Testament: General Calling & Effectual Calling.

I have noticed that, I find all they do is post their own intellectual knowledge of the Bible, Of course that’s my own opinion of some.....they lack spirit knowledge...I mean, we can only understand the written word by the Spirit bringing it our our understanding. plus it’s all in God’s timing.

“The things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. … “But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned” (1 Corinthians 2:11, 14).

Just like when my spirit became Born Again, that’s all I knew, which came by divine revelation.....the rest of how it happed has been revealed to my spirit by the Holy Spirit...through reading the written word...God explains how Spirit gives birth to spirit in there...it’s a mystery and mind Blowing, plus we cant see the Spirit birthing our spirit into His...for me that also came by divine revelation...just as the written word says....the Spirit testifies with our spirit that we are Gods children.that was the part that was mind blowing for me.....

at the risk of offending the mulit gender generation , that he is a she .
And we have been reading together for a few years now . you would be amazed
at what can occur if folks would just read the bible for themselves and even together .
Very peaceful it is and in time much can be learned .
I invite you to pm everone on this site and ask them what they think about me .
Then after hearing their answers you might scratch your head as to why i have so many likes . Kinda funny .
in fact i would invite you to pm all in private and perhaps even ask them
the question who do you all think is perhaps the most dangerous , or maybe most judgmental person
Do not be suprised if the claim be its me . And by golly i happen to know
we got a few who even preach a false gospel . but their names wont be the first . mine will be .
You might truly pray about this . You go to GOD and you pray
and you ask him to give you discernement about me . Whether i be the most judgemntal hateful person
OR , OR i am i just doing all by grace for the good of all the people who i DO love . you take it to GOD and you pray
and you see what you hear .and you read the bible and if i be in error show me by the bible my error .
I have always said test all , but when we test let it be by the bible and not emotions .

What is the theory of original sin? (that you believe is false)

Romans 5:18-19 NIV
Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people,
so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people.
19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners,
so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

The intial stage of our salvation begins as we are drawn to FAITH in HE whom GOD did send .
I think a better way to word what you first wrote is
that the problem is many are coming to another jesus , another version of HIM
one that feeds the fleshly desires . And that one cannot save because it is NOT JESUS the CHRIST .
There is a difference between believing in JESUS the CHRIST and believing in another jesus .
A key is seen in this . Many also can say we beleive in JESUS the CHRIST but they sure dont seem to BELIEVE things HE said .
IF we believe in HIM its seen that we would have BELEIVED HIM . not the voice of another image of a contrary Jesus
but the voice of CHRIST JESUS that would have reminded us of what HE said and taught .
Many people are well educated in the doctrines of men
but have no idea that while some of those doctrines contain truths , they use said truths in an angle
to create disbelief in what JESUS said and belief in ERROR instead . So its super dire important we stay well read in that bible
for our learning and our being stirred up by remebering and learning WHAT HE actually SAID rather than what men say
He said as they twist it . Its a real good thing to stay stirred up by remembering THE WORDS of truth
Because many have long twisted things and though many are always learning they seem unable to come to the SIMPLE TRUTH .
I truly pray and wish all would return to reading just the bible for themselves .

My favorite verse.

J.
Have you notice what i write next has fast become the modern mindset .
The modern mindset is more wordly intellectual .
Watch this my friend . I will give an example of what i mean .
Lets use the example about homosexuality for a second .
Today the question has become are they born this way . THe debate then becomes
they try and figure this out through science , through etc .
But i say this is the far better question we should have asked ourselves and the way in which we should determine
what is TRUE .
I would say this , DO not ask if they are born this way
rather you ask yourself does GOD approve of the ACTION . Now once we notice HE does not approve of the action
we know without a doubt we do not approve of said action nor try and find a way to make it seem okay or thatthey cannot help
what they do .
IN other words , ITS TIME to use the bible for everything .
IF anything anyone does is an action contrary to What GOD says
then its an action we will show THEM is not accepted by GOD . As we also preach the solution
to them .
