@Eternally Grateful,

I done answered in
What do you think about your own question?
sorry, I stopped after what type of love I was asking about

But you answered the question. sort of. Only Jesus could love that way.

that means a none believer can not CHOSE to do good. thus they could not as you put it "make a decision"

and they can't UNTIL they are saved. As the good book says, we love because he FIRST LOVED US.. so until we experience his true love in salvation and his gift.. we can not do good. as the good book also says, there are non righteous no not one for all have sinned.

one other thing, when the bible says walked blameless, it does not mean according to the law. No one has walked blameless according tot he law. It means they were believers, have experienced Gods love (like Noah) and walked according to the love they received.. and while they sinned (all have sinned) they still worked out their salvation which they had.

Amen!....he first Loved us and without that happening...we wouldn’t know what his love is..

A non believer is in darkness/ alienated from God...in complete and utter sin.

We are Born Again.

NO!...they must be Born Again.
yes,

they can chose to obey a command physically. But they can not chose to fulfill the command which is to do it in true agape love.. because they do not have the capacity to do it..

1 John 4:
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

Seeing God Through Love

12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.

The Consummation of Love

17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. 19 We love Him because He first loved us.

And Brother..a Born Again wants to walk in obedience, he / she wants to please God...why, because we are his children..Born. Again.

On saying this. It takes time to understand..as we grow and mature in Christ....he opens his living word up to his own.

those saved by God who understand the true depth of what they were saved from and their true guilt. wants to obey out of gratitude for what they have received.

that is so different, than a person who is trying his best to be obedient in hopes that God will forgive them of their sins and save them.

in most cases, you not only can see (the difference) it in the way they live, but in the way they talk..

I corrected the post. I meant to say you can see it in the way they talk (the words they say) Who are they praising? Are they judging? are they pumping their chest while judging others.. do they claim their sins are not that bad.. not like the adulterers or pedophiles or the murders

do they mock certain sins (the don't drink don't smoke don't cuss vibe of my early church days. where they were judged as not saved if they did these things...

Yes, and I know I am still a work in progress.

We never stop learning....we are all guilty of still sinning while we still live in this flesh..are we not Brother?

Sin will never die in us, even though we know we have been forgiven of our sins...we still have this old man..who we battle with.

It does get easier as we grow and mature in Christ our sin gets less.. @Eternally Grateful

Romans 6:14-23

King James Version

14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Yes

as paul said, he continued to run the race.

If paul did not make it. I would be a fool to think I made it..

We are dead because of sin

if we are justified. The penalty of sin is removed, hence we are alive

you should study the judicial system, when one is justified (found innocent of wrong doing) then their penalty is removed.
Don't have to be alive to be legally justified, you don't have to be alive for Christ to die for one's sins either. You lack understanding

Its up to God.

Christ died for the world,. and will forgive anyone who recieves him, Just as the tax collector did
Just saying, to me you have been proven wrong, but you continue to deny the efficacy of Christs obedience. Thats unbelief

I believe in his gospel

I do not make him a respector as persons. You do that.

you need to look inside. and get off your calvinistic drama filled gospel
Rom 5:19 is the Gospel and it appears to me you dont believe it.

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Matt 7:22-23 proves you in error. That is judgement scenario. And Jesus clearly teaches-FEW will find the road that leads off into life( be saved)--Jesus obedience opened the door to all men. FEW enter through the narrow gate.
No it doesnt, Rom 5:19 is still true, many are saved, made righteous by ones One Obedience

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

The few that find life are the many Christ by His obedience made righteous.

The ones who are born again are the ones that were made righteous by Christs One act of Obedience Rom 5:19

19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

They have because of Christs obedience righteousness imputed and righteousness imparted, righteousness imparted is the New Birth and righteousness imputed is their legal righteousness before Gods righteous Tribunal !

I don’t know about that...for me..., needs further study..I’m certainly not taking your word for it.

We must be Born Again.....we don’t need to read all this jargon you speak of here, makes no sense to me..maybe @Eternally Grateful can help me understand?
I wait on God..thanks.
