Then what did you mean by this?they reject the institutional church.. which many are. Not God.. thats the point I did the same at one time
Not even Atheists "reject" God.and the rest of the world. who reject God.
oh they reject GodThen what did you mean by this?
Not even Atheists "reject" God.
Only our definition of God, provided by the institutional church.
John 6:65 ESVAnyone who does not believe, have rejected God and his son who came to save them
35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. 36 But I said to you that you have seen Me and yet do not believe. 37 All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out. 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, that of all He has given Me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the last day. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”John 6:65 ESV
And he said, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless it is granted him by the Father".
40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and I will raise him up at the last day.”
God does not prevent anyone from following Christ. I do not know where you got that Idea from. The passage I showed show that the people who see and believe are those who are saved.None of that contradicts the verse I provided. You blame people for not following Christ even though it is God that prevents them from doing so.
He will lose non of who are his.On another note and in response to the scriptures that you provided, it is God's will that Jesus loses NONE but you nevertheless believe that Satan (who works for God) will circumvent God's will and prevent Jesus from being able to save many people, right?
Thanks S.S.!I think we mistake, or redirect, the rejection of the institutional church as the rejection of God.
Most of those who have left the church tell me they still believe in God.
And many times, that is what led them away from the institutional church.
They still accept God but aren't ready to be institutionalized again. - LOL
@Nancy (thought you might like this, and/or have an awesome comment)
See, I knew you could do it. That was an AWESOME post. Thanks S.S.!
Don't know about an "awesome comment" tho! Rather than going to very liberal church's around me, or Kingdom Halls, or a Tabernacle of Mormons, or the CC...it has been a good 4 years, if not more now that I have prayed, begged God to open a door for fellowship. I no longer even want that anymore, not from these "churches"! Back in Jesus day, all of the Christians met in each others houses, and that is how I believe it should be. These "churches" now? Great if you want a rock concert, bad doctrine, and no fellowship as the whole huge congregations rush OUT of the building when the Pastors end the service. Waste of my time...the world has infiltrat3ed the churches today. You might perhaps find a decent one if you search with a fine tooth comb but, it all depends on where one lives.
We should never judge someone who has left a particular church and say "they went out from us, they were never of us"!!! That burns my toast! We did not leave the "faith" just the "building"...many other ways to fellowship now anyhow. I trust nobody these days. Nobody BUT Christ.
God be with you all~!

Great post! You, me, and others are THE church!
Is there a pure and blameless "church" out there? I think not. at. all.I dont believe that this forum is the church that hell wont prevail against.
Sorry.
You can have friends and everything on here but…
This aint no pure and blameless, place.
Todays standards are much different than the very first bride of Christ, who was the church that hell did not pervail agaisnt.
Hell is done away with so there should be praise in that victory Jesus had.
But however people do become a part of a family of believers in the kingdom of God which has believers there and there is a family of believers here on earth.
Promised that God cares for
You, and you have connection with him, and encouragement from others by and through the spirit.
That however is my opinion.
Nancy,Is there a pure and blameless "church" out there? I think not. at. all.
Jesus did say that in these end days that nobody will listen to sound doctrine
Yes, as well as myself also. Seems WAY too many cannot handle that we do not agree with them, lol. I do not care if someone on here is in sync with my beliefs or not, no skin off my nose. Brother, I'm way, way over any and all arguments. If the "opinions" of others don't line up with what we honestly believe is written in scripture, it's in the trash can, and they will surely keep arguing and being all passive/aggressive about it too. Most mainstream Christians here believe that about me and @St. SteVen
