its hard for the flesh to understand they can not pay for their own sins. It goes against human nature. They don’t understand the atonement

its hard for the flesh to understand they can not pay for their own sins. It goes against human nature. They don’t understand the atonement
And yet that's exactly what you are trying to do by claiming that Jesus covers your sins...and then justifying yourself for your beliefs. Your position is self-defeating and a bad reading of the biblical narrative.Wrong His death is our atonement. We cannot atone our sins .

Do you see yourself as having ever practiced the law of Moses?its hard for the flesh to understand they can not pay for their own sins. It goes against human nature.
This out-of-context quote is not referring to Jews. It is referring to false teachers in the church.I’ll tell Peter you said so when I see him.
2 Peter 2:20-22 KJV
[20] For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. [21] For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them. [22] But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
The way I see it is the false teachers were Judaizers provoking born of God Christian’s to return to their muddy vomit. This out-of-context quote is not referring to Jews. It is referring to false teachers in the church.
2 Peter 2:20-22, "If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and are overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true: “A dog returns to its vomit,” and, “A sow that is washed returns to her wallowing in the mud.”
More equivocating and conflating it’s your modus operandiAnd yet that's exactly what you are trying to do by claiming that Jesus covers your sins...and then justifying yourself for your beliefs. Your position is self-defeating and a bad reading of the biblical narrative.
More covering up your insufficient and pagan-like understanding of spiritual things.More equivocating and conflating it’s your modus operandi
It’s not his fault.More covering up your insufficient and pagan-like understanding of spiritual things.
You don’t know the meaning of the gospel , the resurrection or the atonement. And they are all interwoven together perfectly .More covering up your insufficient and pagan-like understanding of spiritual things.
You didn’t answer the question. But fully avoided the question of is there a connection to being born again, born anew…to being born again without the works of men’s hands? But instead being born of that made without hands, and of God?I am sorry, I am still talking about 1 cor 12. and the body of Christ.
Jesus told nicodemus how to be born again. and what would be the price of that payment.
do you remember what Jesus said?
once again. What does it matter? Could I save myself by practicing the law?Do you see yourself as having ever practiced the law of Moses?
we are born again by the hand of God. not by our own hands or the hands of men, you are correct if this is what you are implyingYou didn’t answer the question. But fully avoided the question of is there a connection to being born again, born anew…to being born again without the works of men’s hands? But instead being born of that made without hands, and of God?
Then I think that you see it incorrectly. Where do you see "Judaizers" mentioned in that passage? The way I see it is the false teachers were Judaizers provoking born of God Christian’s to return to their muddy vomit.
They had recently escaped.
I see a difference in the things God speaks to me through His Word, and the teachings and sayings of Scripture. Sometimes God takes a portion completely from it's context (or not) in a personal word to me, to encourage, empower, rebuke, whatever it is He wants to say. But I see that being for me alone, and not be mixed with the teaching of the Word.Today I had to go to the eye doctor because our granddaughter who is five, accidentally kicked me in the eye on the trampoline. There was a lady setting across from me at the doctors office. My husband bought me a tee that has “blessed” written on it. I was wearing it today. The lady started a conversation and was talking about how hard life is and how every day you need to refuel. I agreed. Point is..I’m not hot under the collar. But what if the things i read in His word every day help refuel when I am low? What if they make sense to me. And inspire. And give Hope. And redirect my attention to Him. Maybe my mistake is sharing them and I should keep it to myself?
The scheme made up by Luther indeed makes sense to the carnal mind. God has allowed for this alternate logic (the Great delusion) to exist to expose those who hate the truth. Congrats on that. You don’t know the meaning of the gospel , the resurrection or the atonement. And they are all interwoven together perfectly .
I disagree with you, what @Episkopos said in this case is correct. Though I don't see that he understands in what way.Wrong His death is our atonement. We cannot atone our sins .

And this is exactly what Romans 6 teaches,Jesus made a way for people to DIE in the outer man of the flesh in order to be raised up in the inner man into HIS resurrection life. He went first to create the process.
I reject luther any more fallacious arguments today ?The scheme made up by Luther indeed makes sense to the carnal mind. God has allowed for this alternate logic (the Great delusion) to exist to expose those who hate the truth. Congrats on that.
Notice Ronans 6 is past tense as that happened at the cross .I disagree with you, what @Episkopos said in this case is correct. Though I don't see that he understands in what way.
He said,
And this is exactly what Romans 6 teaches,
Romans 6:3-7 KJV
3) Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4) Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5) For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6) Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7) For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Except this passage teaches that our old man is crucified with Jesus Christ in our being baptized into Him.
And it further says that the condition for being in the likeness of His resurrection is to "have been planted together in the likeness of his death".
Much love!
Just so. Our old man has already been crucified in Him, freeing us from sin.Notice Ronans 6 is past tense as that happened at the cross .
Ditto . It’s been done we don’t do that ourselves . His death is our death.Just so. Our old man has already been crucified in Him, freeing us from sin.
Much love!
