Bad teachings started coming in after the Apostles died.
Peter was an apostle, in his books he had to make corrections about fornication being ok. those teaching such things were called super apostles.

Beg your pardon, you need to be careful what you say. Jesus is God over all.
Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen.
(Romans 9:5 KJV)
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
(Colossians 1:16 KJV)
Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.
(1 Timothy 1:17 KJV)
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
(1 Timothy 3:16 KJV)
Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
(Titus 2:13 KJV)
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
(Hebrews 13:8 KJV)
Jesus is King
Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.
(John 18:36 KJV)
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
(Revelation 19:16 KJV)

You are only talking about 33 years which is a bink of an eye in the sight of God, and I am not disputing that. I am talking about eternity, so little wonder there is no agreement. Earthly things are unimportant other than our faith while we live which has eternal consequences and that is where our thoughts should be focussed.Yes one in purpose. It goes on to say all the followers will become one with them= in purpose. That purpose is living to Do Jesus Fathers will over our own will-Matthew 7:21-John 5:30. Like Jesus does. He also taught the Father is greater than him, And the bible teaches only the Father knows the day and hour--proves your thinking is error. And that being one = in purpose.
Jesus humbled himself when he came among us. We need to look beyond that.Jesus was appointed king(Daniel 7:13-15) of Gods kingdom, God is king of eternity. If Jesus were God he would have already been king and wouldnt need to be appointed to a kingship. At the end of Rev 20:7-10-1Corinthians 15:24-28 occurs-Jesus must hand back the kingdom to his God and Father and subject himself. another proof he is not God.
Who is the image of?Jesus is Gods image-Collosians 1:15--an image is never the real thing.
So talking about the Godhead, who was Jesus in the beginning?
.
In the beginning Jesus was the Word who created all things.Jesus was God's Son in the beginning and will always be His Son. He is/was/and will be eternal.
In the beginning Jesus was the Word who created all things.
.
That is rubbish. In your example, the eternal Jesus IS the President, except for 33 years which as far as his eternal authority is concerned is irrelevant. Here is a sort of explanation: Antony Blinken is the Secretary of State of the United States. He is not the President, but acts on the President's orders and represents not only the President but also the United States of America. When he goes abroad, he acts with the full authority of the President. To those with whom he negotiates, he is the United States of America.
I know this isn't a perfect comparison but it's as close as I can come to the role and status of Jesus Christ, God's son, through whom He carries out His will. If you don't understand that, you have missed understanding their relationship.
Read down to verse 14.I'm curious. When you say that Jesus was the Word, what exactly does that mean to you?
I didn't mean on earth. Not the same person on earth, but according to the scriptures in post 1767.
Christ's Kingdom is a heavenly one.
.
Why do persons such as yourself come onto Christian forums and try to convince Christian persons that Jesus is not God?Jesus is Gods image-Collosians 1:15--an image is never the real thing.
See...in this case I cannot agree with @Jim B and can say that you're correct. That is rubbish. In your example, the eternal Jesus IS the President, except for 33 years which as far as his eternal authority is concerned is irrelevant.
.
You are correct. Once we know the Word created the heavens and the earth and Jesus is the Word, then the darkness turns to light.See...in this case I cannot agree with @Jim B and can say that you're correct.
However, he did have a good question for you..
on post no. 1789:
I'm curious. When you say that Jesus was the Word, what exactly does that mean to you?
I do believe that the answer to that question is pivotal in understanding the Trinity.
No, not the same person, as the old hymn says, "God in three persons, blessed Trinity."I didn't mean on earth.
I'm talking about the Trinity.
Are you saying God Father and God Son are the same "person"?
Sometimes you post what is right on
and sometimes I don't really understand what you mean...
That is rubbish. In your example, the eternal Jesus IS the President, except for 33 years which as far as his eternal authority is concerned is irrelevant.

Why do persons such as yourself come onto Christian forums and try to convince Christian persons that Jesus is not God?
What could be the purpose for this?
You could believe Jesus is not God,
but perhaps you should stop trying to convince others because it's not that you're trying to understand --
which would be OK...you're spreading heresy.
So you know what heresy is?
It's teaching that is not orthodox Christian teaching.
The early church had a special council for this very reason due to arianism.
Seems like arianism is back.
As long as your faith is founded on the solid rock, you will be fine. You're entitled to you opinion, of course, even though it is wrong.
You have the Bible, the Pharisees only had the Old Testament, but either way both sects deny Jesus even though the Pharisees could see first-hand Jesus stilling the waves, healing the sick and raising the dead. They still did not believe what their eyes could see. Blind that they were. Good luck to you all when Jesus returns, which is something no 'man' can do.Jesus explained many times that even though the Pharisees had the Bible they didn't understand its true meaning. So much for orthodoxy.
