Christianity is a religion of morals and those that that preached the Gospel lived moral lives.

Christianity is NOT a Religion—- Religion says “ DO!” ......Christianity says , “ DONE”...... you just don't get it.....

Here’s another thing you don't get—- Hell will be Full Of “Moral” people.....being Moral is great....it just won’t save you.....to get to Heaven you have to go light- years beyond being “ moral”..... you have to be Perfect! Simply REST in Paul’s Gospel and God will IMPUTE you with His Perfection....that’s what the Disciples had....their Faith got them the Holy Spirit and that Spirit was responsible for any “ goodness” in their lives.....”Without Me, you can do NOTHING!” Morality is better than IMmorality, but it wont get you to Heaven.....possessing the Spirit that “Drives” Morality is what Saves...

...did it look like they were living the life of anything goes?
And that's the bottom line to you, isn't it?

That if someone believes they are saved forever, it's only because they must want the "life of anything goes". Completely false, and irresponsible.

Much love!

No one that stands up against the heresy of OSAS is arguing against the promise. Christianity is a religion of morals and those that that preached the Gospel lived moral lives. You think you can play Christ for a fool, talk your way out of it on Judgment Day? I am not concerned about that. Just the souls that you lead astray and the lives you ruin. Christ and the Apostles did not condone sinful lifestyles. Christ and the Apostles and the whole Bible stands against you. The belief in Christ is not a license to sin and heaven will not be full of evil.

Be good and do good.

If Jesus ever asks me why I should enter Heaven, I will not utter a word.....I will just point to the Holiest Thing in the Universe—— the Shed Blood atop the Heavenly Mercy Seat....that “pointing” will say everything that need be said.... Two things and two things ONLY got me Saved—- Christ’s Blood and my Faith in that Blood....I suggest that you develop the same attitude that I have.... everything that “ you” did was Dead Works and Filthy Rags......Any talk about what YOU did as opposed to what HE did will give you the pleasure of hearing, “ Depart From me, I never knew you”....You are In much more Jeopardy than you realize....

And here I thought Christianity was about Jesus and the forgiveness of sin

Who said Christianity is not about Yeshua and the forgiveness of sins....of course it comes to no surprise that all you are interested in is the forgiveness of sins. Not interested in a relationship with God....and you think that people can live a sinful life and walk with Christ....be a believer in Christ...be a follower of Christ?
And here I thought Christianity was about Jesus and the forgiveness of sin

This is obviously news to you but believers (the saved) don't face the GWT
GWT Google Web Toolkit? LOL You should be worried about the JOC and the FOH.
People have already given you people scriptures...all it does is dirty them....for the OSAS crowd the pages of the Bible are just toilet paper.

2nd Corinthians 5:10
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad."

Revelation 22:12
“Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done."

It is a waste of time to give you people scriptures...if the meaning of the Bible to you people is live a sinful lifestyle and be rewarded with heaven and all the good people and God will be forced to be with all manner of evil in heaven, you have missed the entire point of the Bible... How can you live a sinful lifestyle and have a relationship with God? Do you think Christ will start sinning with you? Do you think you would have gotten away with preaching this garbage to Christ and the Apostles ?

You put all of Christ's love and his sacrifice to shame. He died on the cross so the world and heaven could be filled with evil. You would not know what good is if it slapped you in the face....there are good Christians. There are good Christians that do not try to make a travesty of Christ sacrificial death. There are good Christians that do not believe they can con Christ.

Romans 6:1-2
What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? 2 By no means! We are those who have died to sin; how can we live in it any longer?

For you people it is all about twisting the scriptures to get others to believe that Christianity is a religion of sin that is rewarded by heaven.

be good and do good.

You mean the delusion that Christianity is about sin and sin some more? The delusion that Christ will condone your sins on Judgment Day? The delusion that Christ and the Apostles lived or would condone sinful lifestyles?

I have YET to hear anybody argue against this Promise .....It seems that your crowd just wants to “ sweep it under the rug”.
You've heard it argued many times. Just not in a way that is agreeable to you. I'm assuming you're not lying; just misspeaking.

Security is eternal only for those whose faith is eternally fixed on Jesus, and whose life is connected to the one who is our life. Obviously, we can choose to be lost no matter how saved we once were. Everything depends on maintaining the divine connection with the true vine.

Jesus taught the same solemn truth about losing eternal life in the parable of the sower. In explaining the seed which fell among the thorns and the rocks, Jesus said, "Those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved. They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away." Luke 8:12, 13.

There are several things to note about this parable. First, only one class will finally be saved - the ones who brought forth much fruit. The groups represented by the wayside and rocks will not be saved. In verse 12, the wayside hearers did not have a chance to "believe and be saved," but in the next verse the stony ground hearers do "for a while believe." What kind of "believing" is this? According to verse 12, it is the kind that saves. So the ones who believed for a while were saved for a while, but in time of temptation they fell away. Eventually, of course, they were lost along with all the others, except the fruit-bearers. Here is an unequivocal teaching of our Lord that people can have a saving faith for a while, and yet lose it and be lost.

Those who read the record of the Gospels carefully will find repeated authority from Jesus to renounce the doctrine of eternal security. In Luke 12:42-46 Christ described in another parable how a faithful servant could turn into an unfaithful one. After asking, "Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his lord shall make ruler over his household . . . ?" Jesus answers His own question: "That servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing . . . he will make him ruler over all that he hath." Then Christ explains how that servant could lose his reward. "But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers." Verses 45,46.

Here is a perfect example by the Master Teacher as to how a faithful and wise servant can be punished with the unbelievers. Jesus was talking about a man whom He had seen faithful enough to trust with heavy responsibilities. Undoubtedly, this servant represents those who carefully served the Lord as true believers. But what happened? That very faithful servant departed from the path of faithfulness and reaped eternal ruin and death. Does this not also remind us of the words of Hebrews 10:38, "Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him." The servant in the parable, who was a believer, is now punished with the unbelievers. The faithful can draw back to perdition.

Another parable of Christ spotlights the fact that continued forgiveness is conditional for the believer. The story is found in Matthew 18:21-35, and revolves around the forgiveness of God. A certain king responded to the pleas of his servant and forgave him a large debt. That servant went out and found a fellow servant who owed him a small amount and showed no mercy, throwing him in prison because he could not pay. When the king heard what had happened, he rescinded his cancellation of the large debt and had his servant thrown to the tormentors till he paid in full.

No one can deny the obvious teaching of this parable. Even though God graciously forgives those who apply for it, that forgiveness is not without conditions for the future. We can lose that forgiveness by being unmerciful to others. This is in harmony with the words of the Lord in Ezekiel 33:13, "When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it." The principle is repeated in verse 18, "When the righteous turneth from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, he shall even die thereby."

The secret lies in maintaining the righteous relationship with the Source of salvation. Jesus said, "He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved." Matthew 24:13. No one will be saved finally who does not hold out against a course of deliberate sin in the power of God. Those who do not endure to the end will have their names blotted out of the book of life. Advocates of eternal security deny it could ever happen, but read the frightening possibility for yourself in Revelation 3:5, "He that overcometh . . . I will not blot out his name out of the book of life." The implication is clear that those who are not overcomers - who do not endure to the end - will have their names blotted out.

All these verses are really saying the same thing. Willful sin shatters the relationship by which eternal life is obtained. There is an eternal "if" in every consideration of eternal security. "If we walk in the light . . . the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin." 1 John 1:7. "If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father." 1 John 2:24. "If any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him." Hebrews 10:38. "If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch." John 15:6. "If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death." John 8:51. "If thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off." Romans 11:22. "If ye do these things, ye shall never fall." 2 Peter 1:10. "For we are made partakers of Christ, If we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end." Hebrews 3:14. "If we endure, we shall also reign with him: If we deny him, he also will deny us." 2 Timothy 2:12 (RSV). "If we sin willfully . . . there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins." Hebrews 10:26. "If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." 1 John 2:15. "Ye are my friends, If ye do whatsoever I command you." John 15:14. "If ye live after the flesh, ye shall die." Romans 8:13.

Here is an argument against your interpretation of a promise.

Next time you pull your nose up when you see a poor man struggling with alcohol you should say with SINCERITY ..... “There but for the Grace Of God, Go I.
I don't believe you're a college grad. Your writing stinks, your grammar stinks, and so does your reading comprehension. I even highlighted the part that was important in my post and you still missed it, lol. ↓↓↓
I am better than the drunk down the street. By God's grace I am in fact better than the drunk down the street. I do not get drunk. I will not minimize what is factually true about me to placate and soothe someone who has yet to experience the grace that I have experienced. My responsibility is to not look down on those who have yet to walk in God's grace, not minimize the grace I have received.
You are as judgmental and critical of those you perceive to be legalists as you say they are of you. You are truly a hypocrite. You point with the finger but are guilty of the things you are judgmental and critical about in others. That's being a hypocrite. Somehow the grace of God you're saying I don't have toward the drunk is the grace you do not have toward the legalist. You are in fact a hypocrite. You condemn yourself when you condemn the legalists because you do the same thing you say they do.

The guy who had sex with his own stepmother in Corinthians? Chances are you would in no way consider that guy a Saved Christian, would you, King Judger?
But it's okay for you to judge the legalist as being unsaved, right? (You do it over and over in your posts.) You are no better than the legalists that you condemn. You are a hypocrite. Or is grace your license to do what you condemn the legalist for doing?

But anyway, I know he's not saved because Paul says he has to repent "so that his spirit may be saved on the Day of the Lord." 1 Corinthians 5:5. Your contention is with Paul, not me. If he was saved (or still saved) he would not have to be subjected to Paul's prescription for being saved on the Day of the Lord because he's already saved, as you and your horrible theology insists. Your problem is you just don't believe scripture. Plain and simple. You don't believe Paul, and you don't believe John. Face up to it, friend. There's still time for you to repent of this horrible theology that you've embraced and are leading people astray with.

That is OSAS in the real. That is OSAS in motion. Oh! we do not sin, we just believe you can sin all you want and still go to heaven. You can make it all sweet talk, but remember Satan speaks a subtle language....Oh you won't go to hell....If you have sex with another man, that is just love and Christ is all about love....right! Satan told Eve, she would not die if she ate of the fruit....

You have to put things in the real....but it in motion...you have to think past the end of your nose....what are the ramifications? ....you...BB...LOL If BB started a church and made his statement of faith about sin and sin some more and heaven guaranteed and then preached this garbage from the pulpit....can you imagine the people it would attract and the evil that would happen? Drug users, homosexuals, LGBTQ, Homosexual weddings, People marrying underage children, Child molesters, murderers, and of course abortionists, Rapists, and the list goes on. And I am not even going to suggest what the name of the Church should be!

Quite the congregation! What would the homosexual wedding receptions be like? And the honeymoons for underage children?

Christianity is NOT a Religion—- Religion says “ DO!” ......Christianity says , “ DONE”.....

More fancy cleaver empty words, eh?

"Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you." (John 15:14)

Christ says “IF YE DO”.

Go argue with Christ and see how that works out for you in the end.

I like it when people say that Christianity not a religion...so idiocy. But ya have to consider the source. Most of the people that say this see Christianity as a club....for sinning!

You don’t understand it at all.....if God is “ finished” on the Inside—- The outside will take care of itself....You are Trying instead of Trusting.....working when you should be resting....you have to live it....
The part that doesn't believe this . . . that's the flesh.

It's disturbing to say the least... all the twisting of words... the endless accusations of abusing Grace... It's become old... and so repetitive... not to mention absolutely offensive.
Amen! This is how I feel.

The endless twisting and misrepresentation of God's Word, our words, and yes, all those personal digs by those who think they are so superior! Yet they can't seem to keep their hands off the insults!

These things should not be. But Ignore makes for a more edifying forum, without constant attackes against Jesus, His deity, His grace and forgiveness, His return.

Much love!

Shall not the weak brother be emboldened to sin because of your hyperbole that perverts the gospel?
It's truth, not untruth, that sets us free.

Should we teach the new believer that they must fight their sin so they don't lose their salvation? That they have to now prove to God they really are saved? That they have to serve this "new law"? And in so doing cause them to fall from grace?

Shouldn't we rather teach them to cast ALL their cares on Him, since He cares for us?

Much love!

Set your mind on things above!

Much love!
Yes indeed . Set your affections on things above , not on earth .
Therefore mortify the lusts , deeds of the flesh .
its a die daily battle . Let us have all hope above on the Lord . And as did the apostels remind the church to live holy
and to flee even all appearance of evil , thus this lamb will do the same .
PS , STICK ONLY to the ONE ORGINAL GOSPEL .
I say again , stick to the one orginal gospel . FOR IT IS THE ONLY TRUTH . AS JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY UNTO THE FATHER .
All other paths , all other religoins , all other anything is vain . Mark , do not even once entertain the mindset
that if folks simply love , then it dont matter what religion , fake god or etc they follow . THIS IS A FAT LIE .
But even those who once accused me of being legalistic , WONT HELP ME FIGHT THE FIGHT FOR THE ONE TRUE FAITH .
Everybody is running to this false sensual love many path to GOD mindset . ITS A LIE my friend .
I know for a fact that to be saved , ONE MUST TRULY BELEIVE IN JESUS CHRIST and that means they would have CONFESSED HIM BY MOUTH
and BELIEVE that GOD has rose Him from the dead . NO OTHER gospel will do for me my friend and my friends .
But many more will soon sell out . I See some already are , even on this site . ITS NOT looking good mark .
REMEMBER that for the space of , SINCE I was born again , I have not ceased to say one must BELEIVE IN JESUS TO BE SAVED .
and i have fought against the all inclusive lie . Let no man go down that path . BUT Its very sneaky at the start . SO watch out .
