Well God said there was light on the first day and I believe him so something took place of the Sun.

The NIV is a fake translation.... lots and lots of errors and omissions.
Once would do good to stay away from these newer translations... it's all about getting a unique copyright so they can do marketing to get people to buy new translation and make mo money
Pretty much all of them are put out by secular companies who have people from false religions doing the translation. Just another one of the devil's tricks to further muddy the waters...

God used words that the people at the time it was written could understand to explain his creative acts.
evening and morning mean one thing, it always has.. so to make it mean anything else would be in my mind foolish. And nonsensical.
Just take God at his word. It is when we stop taking God at his word and try to make him say things he never said that we get into trouble.
Look what happen when Evolution became so popular. people tried ot make the Bible fit evolution and we got all kinds of believes (I fell for the GAP theory myself) Until I went to a creation museum and started reading some books and God opened my eyes..

but even with this. Darkness is the absence of light. Thats why Jesus said the world does not come to the light lest their sins be exposed..

I'm torn.
I can see a case for both sides.
And I won't criticize any Christian that believes in Evolution.
It doesn't matter.
But I can certainly see signs of an intelligent design.
However that played out.

Okay, let's assume for the sake of argument that they wrote exactly what God wanted them to write. Why do you assume what God wanted them to write would be without error? There is nothing humans do, ever, that is free of some degree of error, i.e., it's all less than perfect. In fact, being less than perfect is part of what it means to be human. We often say, "It's okay, you're human." So being less than perfect is part of being human.
God chose to communicate Christ to us through fallible humans via human writing. Are you saying God, overriding their fallible humanity, dictated every word to ensure the writing was perfect? That's not needed. There's a word for that- overdetermined.
What is it that's so difficult that the script needs to be without error? Love God? Love your neighbor? Don't steal? Don't murder? Christ died? Christ rose again? Why is the fallible human not able to communicate that effectively without being free of error? Why must it be free of error? So you will believe it?
Imagine a world where you have never read the scriptures; nonetheless, the apostle, Paul, comes up to you and tells you the good news about Christ's death and resurrection, about his life, and about his followers. Let's assume in doing so, you come to faith in Jesus Christ. Unfortunately, when he shared the events with you, he got James and John confused. When he talked about James, it was actually John. And, when he talked about John, it was actually James. In other words, it was not a perfect presentation. Is your faith now nullified? No, of course not.
A perfect God does not need a perfect written witness, just as a perfect God does not need a perfect human witness. A perfect Son will do. ;)
