You will like GRAILY.... He is a huge personality here... LOL
I'm for the underdog... and I HATE BULLIES... and KNOW it ALLS... and well... the rest of me is a MYSTERY...I like you as well, as you do also have some interesting things to say
YET people still think I am lost
Nope... I have not... people like to pick at words and take them out of context... This is why I have learned not to share my beliefs in depth here... I don't have the patience or tolerance to explain myself... I speak and I take accountability for my words...why do they conclude this? have you posted blatant heresy on here?

In the world of forums.. it is not that way... and I guess that is the purpose of it all ... to engage in conversations and to exchange ideas.. thoughts and beliefs. I find it all so NOISY to be honest... and so I do not choose to study the bible here... as everyone has an opinion. I have come to see that there is no such thing as Christian unity... it is a myth.
Anyways.... Graily is going to accuse me of WHINING now... so... hmmm... I am a bit of an odd creature.... don't fit in with the norm....I am usually swimming in the opposite direction... My heart is for the lost and broken... the unlovables that no one else desires... the ones that society would cast in the garbage... but the ones who truly are in need of a SAVIOUR...
I don't do arrogance very well... actually I don't do it at all.... and so there are some here that I won't even bother communicating with.
I came here for fellowship... because I live a very reclusive life ( by choice ). God has done a very deep healing within me... My search for God was a difficult one due to so many opinions about WHO HE is and what HE expects of His children. Now... I really don't bother to listen to anyone trying to explain anything about God as I don't trust man. It's my issue... so in all reality... I probably shouldn't even be part of a forum... LOL
My biggest pet peeve is those who would tamper with the Gift of Salvation... it really is an easy concept... so simple that a child can understand... but man has tampered with it.... added all kinds of conditions to it... and in the process has totally misrepresented it. To argue with others is fruitless... as they will believe what they believe.
I think maybe I will apply for the job of SNACK server.... I might be good at that...
You will find your niche here... I have new hope for you... LOL
Please don't be put off with peoples comments on here, as we are all imperfect in our understanding! No one person can ever know it all. The forum on Bible theology is not a place to relax in as Doctrines can be very deep and the discussions heated. Jesus' own interactions with the Jews during His life on earth, were mostly heated, as they simple could not understand what He was about most of the time! There are many Doctrines that are not easy to understand, like the Trinity, and we must be humble to accept our human limitations. The best way is to let the Holy Spirit do the Teaching from His Word, and to accept what He says with a child like faith. You seem a very nice person from what I read, with a good heart for the things that matter to the Lord, like the broken and downcast, who are very much sidelined by this world. May the Lord continue to richly bless you and draw closer to you.
I came here at a very bad time... during the last months leading up to the US elections... What occurred during this time and just after is something that I am not quite able to grasp... a large part of that is because I am Canadian... so things like patriotism is not something I am familiar with.
The timing and my lack of respect for Mr. Trump... set the stage for me to be seen as an enemy... and I am still trying to recover from the damage that was done.
I understand that we are all at different places in our walks... I am absolutely fine with others' opinions about things... What I am not fine with is the way people often treat each other here... they are most demeaning... and very verbally aggressive with their accusations at times. I am not used to that kind of thing... as living alone ... one gets used to the QUIET of it all.
I have recently returned after asking for my profile to be removed at the end of January... and I did so because with the lock down measures being thrown at us... my world is becoming even smaller... and so I do think it is wise to have access to other Christians.
I have no problem expressing myself... or standing up for myself... and I do know myself... so I am most aware of my limitations.
I hunger for GOOD conversation... and I cannot seem to find what I am looking for... My interests are not in dissecting the Word of GOD... My interests are in living it.
I am well pleased with you and I... We have come to see each other as human beings.... It did not start this way with us if you remember.
Anyways... I have babbled on here... I hope you have a most lovely day.
You might want to change your wording LOL... TYPO.... the Christian does ( not dies )... made me smirk.
Blood Bought presents the Gospel of GRACE in a very 3D sort of way... Those who are into WORKS repel from it much like what those bugs do when you lift the stone and shine the light.
indeed, but some just refuse to accept the Bible Way, and demand that their way is better than God's!
some are so hung up on this term "works", that they suppose a sinner who follows God's Command to "repent" of their sins, is doing a "work"! such is the foolishness of their theology.
Great point! Murder is not on the test.....right. That is fantastic! There are few people I would like to do a retro-abortion on!
I don't think that you really understand the Bible teaching of how a sinner is saved. Without getting this right, you will never grasp certain Truths
You don’t even know what the “ test” is.....Abortion is not murder.....if murder were a disqualification for Salvation....Moses, David and Paul are in for big trouble.....and for any “ dim bulbs” out there, the preceding was NOT an endorsement of abortion or murder....
If you want to debate Abortion that is fine......but please start another thread....
No one is arguing against repentance... they are stating it is not a condition of salvation. Salvation is a ONE TIME EVENT.
You got two guys.....they both try to Repent of their sins because they believe that it is how one gets Saved......
The first guy is a successful Repenter—- He is sorry every time he sins and he experiences guilt and remorse and he vows to do better and indeed, he “ does” do better.....he manages to rise above the sins in his life......
The second guy—— he ain’t so lucky. He struggles and fails almost all of the time.....he tries to remember all of his sins and he tries to “ do better”, but he just can’t manage to repent as successfully as the other guy......
The bad news is that both of these guys are Lost. Why? Those that try to get Saved by Repenting have forgotten a few things—— Obsession with Repentance can keep you from Believing and Trusting in Jesus for Salvation.....there is no acknowledgement of Mercy or Grace......no Credit is Given to the Shed Blood which turned out to be the “ Actual” thing that Saved lost Sinners....
Salvation is all about the Acceptance Of a FREE GIFT.....Those trying to be Justified by their ability to Repent have Rejected that Free Gift where Jesus gets all of the Glory and they get None.....They demanded that others had to Repent Of “ their” sins and of course they NEVER really gave up all of the Sins in their lives —— its a Fool’s Errand to think that you can rid yourself of ALL the Sin in your life.....even if you did and became a perfect Performer Of the Law, you will discover that you wasted your time.....it's like playing by the Rules Of Checkers when the “ game” being played was Chess. Why? “ By The Works Of The Law , NO FLESH shall be JUSTIFIED, and those that put their Faith in “ Repenting From Sin” turned it into a Work....
“ Turning From Sin” is a good thing to do, but it is not the Formula for Salvation.....we are not Saved by what “ WE” do —— no matter how great and good it sounds—— that’s for “ itching ears “ .....We are Saved by what JESUS did and our BELIEF in what HE accomplished FOR us .....Relying on Repentance for Salvation won’t get the job done.....it ain’t what we “ DID”, it’s what we “ BELIEVED”, as in “ BELIEVE in The Lord Jesus and Thou Shalt be Saved”.....
Remember this.....if your “Salvation Plan” sneaks in anything that “ YOU” get Credit for.....You are one the Wrong Track.......HE gets ALL the Glory for your Salvation and YOU get NONE! Even if you are the best little repenter of sins that ever lived.....
Theology is full of terms...that can hinge on some small focal points.
You are right that when a person is saved, it is a one time event....but it is not an event if there is no repentance.
The arguments between those that say you can lose your salvation and those that believe Once Saved Always Saved is typical of a lot of arguments. The truth is somewhere in the middle. Which means to some degree both sides are wrong.
Here it is a matter of terminology. Saved is an instant in time, on the other hand salvation is your walk with Christ...your Christian life...The Way. The finer points...as Paul said, we are saved by faith. That faith saves you from hell....your are not saved from heaven...and that instant in time is not a guaranteed ticket to heaven...if it were there would be no need for Judgment day. And as Paul said, you are going to workout your salvation with fear and trembling.
People argue that you do not have to be baptized or participate in communion to be saved...and they right. Everyone knows Act 2:38 where we are told to... "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Saved from hell by faith...cool beans. Then what happens if you do not repent...well then the baptism is a bath. Baptism for the remission or forgiveness of past sins....does not work if you do not repent. Can you go to heaven full of sins...nothing forgiven? The process is there, you just did not participate. Maybe you called it "work" If you do not participate in communion, Christ said in the Gospels that you have no life in you, and you do not abide in Him, nor He in you....and He says He will raise those up on the last day that have participated in communion.
Of course you do not have to do most of that. But there is no telling what it will be like for you in the afterlife. What will it be like to not have your sins forgiven? What will it be like to not have any life in you? What will it be like to not abide in Him or Him in you? What will it be like if He does not raise you on the last day? As He said, “Now why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?
Baptism forgives your past...your whole past...all sins...like it never happened...."FOR I WILL BE MERCIFUL TO THEIR INIQUITIES, AND I WILL REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE." Now that does not mean we will not sin as we go through life. And that does not mean we lose our salvation because we sin....we do not have to go get baptized again...LOL...If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
No matter how moral Christians try to be, we are going to stumble every once in a while, and Christ will be there to pick us up and brush off the dust...but if you spend your life crawling on your belly, repentance is impossible. I am talking about sinful lifestyles. At that point confessing your sins is useless....that is were the "Name it and claim it" crowd comes in.
But then again, we cannot officially judge sinful lifestyles....not the people anyway ....condemn the sin, not the sinner thing. You can be initially saved from hell, but fail Judgment Day. The day that you are saved...is not Judgment Day....Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Salvation is not about being perfect, and Mercy and Grace is not about living a sinful lifestyle. The truth is in the middle.
As I have already explained, your opening statement is completely wrong. So let's debate that.
There are three different Greek words that are Translated “ repentance” in the Bible ....The Only one Pertinent to Salvation Is the one that means “Turn to God” as a Lost Sinner.
You have concocted an interesting Religion here...hardly a bit of it is Biblical....sounds a lot like you have been brain- washed by the Doctrines of Romanism.....I hope you turn out to be one of those that Escape it ....many people get Saved, DESPITE False Romanist Doctrine.....
It’s difficult, because what they claim is often True—— “ Give us a child for their first seven years and we’ve got them for life”. Is this what happened to you?
