Before we
jump to conclusions, and given you have "
read the whole Book several times", let me ask a foundational question:
Dan. Chapter 2 provides the sequence of world empires which are understood to be:
1. Head, Gold, Babylonian
2. Breast, Silver, Medo/Persian
3. Belly, Bronze, Grecian
4.a. Legs, Iron, Roman
4.b. Feet, Iron/Clay, some variation of Revived Roman / European Union
Agreed?
Bobby Jo
First off, Bobby Jo, the Statue prophecy in Daniel 2 does not provide an insight into the sequence of world empires, but rather it clearly states in the prophecy the kingdoms, empires and people groups that have had and will have dominion over the Land of the Chaldeans/Babylon right up until the start of the last period of the End Times.
Secondly, History demonstrates that the Roman Empire did not have dominion over the Land of the Chaldeans/Babylon as you have claimed.
Yes the Roman Empire had dominion over many lands, but it was not a world empire just as Babylon and the Medo/Persian Empires were not world empires, but the first three mentioned empires did have dominion over the Land of the Chaldeans/Babylon, before the eastern arm of the Grecian Empire stripped the Land of the Chaldeans/Babylon of its people and utilities leaving it devastated and desolated for a period of around 2,000 years such that there was nothing left in the Land of the Chaldeans/Babylon for the Roman Empire to have dominion over.
If we consult modern history, we will read that the Land of the Chaldeans/Babylon was remembered once more when a nation was established in the Land of the Chaldeans in 1926 AD and that a Coalition of nations numbering around 20 nations, in March 2003 entered Iraq/The Land of the Chaldeans/Babylon and exercised their dominion over the Land of the Chaldeans/Babylon.
Now you claim that both Scripture and History agree with each other, yet you present a list of nations from History that does not support the Scriptures as you claim it does.
Yes you can provide historical maps that supports your world view of history, but those maps only show the grandeur of what could have been and not necessarily the true fact of the situation with respect to the dominion of the land of the Chaldeans/Babylon during the period of time that the land of the Chaldeans/Babylon lay devastated and desolated of people.
The remembering of the Land of the Chaldeans/Babylon in 1926 can be confirmed from two passages of scripture with the first prophecy found in the Book of Jeremiah and the second prophecy, which describes the recent events in Iraq and its invasion by a coalition of Nations, and the second is found in the Book of Revelation where we are told that during the period of great turmoil on the earth, that the Land of the Chaldeans/Babylon will be remembered before God once more to suffer God's wrath against it.
This understand can only be seen with 20/20 understanding from this present time since 2003 AD.
Your historical understanding was established many years ago without the benefit of any hindsight from this present vantage point to confirm whether or not what was suggested many years ago was true.
You, Bobby Jo, love to suggest that people who do not hold to your view are very foolish to suggest something that is different from your understanding of the scriptures. I am sure that what you pen can only be considered to be what you are seeing of yourself in a mirror.
Now unless you have Biblical support to show that the scriptural and historical facts presented above is flawed, I think, that this is the end of your reign as the put down king of the end times posters, based on your private opinion of the facts.
