So if Dan. 2 says FIVE, then exactly who are the Dan. 7 FOUR. We should all appreciate that FIVE ≠ FOUR so please clarify!
Is that not your dilemma to solve?

So you're content asserting that Dan. 2 says FIVE, but Dan. 7 says FOUR, and accordingly FIVE = FOUR.

And you call me the liar, -- "you are repeating the same lies" (Post #280).

To All,

It should be noted that the Jehovah's Witnesses have such distortions of Scripture that some call them a "cult". And where I prefer not to delve into that accusation, I will assert that they are NOT a reliable source of Scripture, of the Interpretation of Scripture, or even the simple recitation of world history.

Maybe their "churches" have no windows because they prefer the darkness:

John 3:19 ... men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.

And where there certainly have been "sexual abuse" violations and cover-ups in various churches and congregtions, none are exempt including the Jehovah's Witnesses as evidenced world wide including Australia (2015 Australian royal commission*) in particular.

*The commission found that the Watch Tower Society legal department routinely provided incorrect information to elders based on an incorrect understanding about what constitutes a legal obligation to report crimes in Australia.[84][85]

Bobby, I agree with your assessment of the JW's theological understanding.

But for you to argue that what I have previously posted be ignored, because you are hinting that I am a closeted member of the JW's, is a very false argument to make on your part and is very deceptive to say the least.

This is your usual method of a put down of another member.

As for your false claim that I am suggesting that five = four with this quote from a previous post of yours above: -

So you're content asserting that Dan. 2 says FIVE, but Dan. 7 says FOUR, and accordingly FIVE = FOUR.

only demonstrates that you have no argument to present that actually refutes what I had suggested and have resorted to false argument techniques in the hope of winning the argument. Good luck with that. The readers of this forum are not that gullible as you are suggesting to as to accepting your gutter tactics.

If that is the best that you can do, then I can rest from further conversation with you as a lost cause with respect to yourself.

Have a good day then sir.

To All,

I believe this Topic was diverted due to unfounded accusations of incompetence by President Trump, even though he incurred accusations of xenophobia when he quickly reacted to close our airport flights from China. Of course for some, there's always FAULT to be found with others, but not themselves. They are SO SMART that they would have handled EVERY ASPECT of the Corona Virus with more efficiency, more expeditiously, and with greater tenacity -- but funny they weren't anywhere to be found in the early days and weeks of the outbreak. -- But their HINDSIGHT is 20/20.

And so hopefully we can now return to our regular programming,

Compare to the way the Ebola outbreak was handled. No false claims of a vaccine soon to be ready, no denials of the seriousness, and appointment of a coordinator whose qualifications included virology and epidemiology, not political loyalty.

And yes, the outcome was much different. The coronavirus is not as deadly as ebola; what if Trump had been in charge back then?

It would have been a disaster. The one thing we know for sure is, more of these will be coming. It's unlikely this time, that thousands of Americans will die because of Trump's bungling, but it's almost certain that dozens will die.

... you are hinting that I am a closeted member of the JW's...

What a coincidence that the JW's are the only proponents I'm aware of where there's a FIFTH empire consisting of a "Coalition Of The Willing", -- exactly as you purport, using the exact wording.

... you have no argument to present that actually refutes what I had suggested ....

You are CORRECT. -- You apparently assert that the Dan. 2 FIVE = the Dan. 7 FOUR. And I'm not arguing with your conclusion, but MATH DOES ARGUE WITH YOUR CONCLUSION. However, if you clarified who the Dan. 7 FOUR consisted of, then maybe you'd have a credible position. But until then, your premise appears to be FATALLY FLAWED.

And of course there are individuals whose reality may agree with yours, but they usually don't have access to a phone or to the general population.

Whew,

I'll give only a short excerpt from the article at Customs is STILL NOT screening passengers from coronavirus hot-spots | Daily Mail Online.

Customs agencies are still not properly screening travelers arriving in the US from coronavirus hot-spot countries Italy, Iran and South Korea, with scores of passengers saying they're able to saunter through major airports like JFK and LAX.

On March 1, President Trump vowed that anyone returning from 'high risk countries' would be screened both before they boarded planes and once they had returned to the US.

On Monday, Vice President Pence said: 'Anyone traveling on a direct flight to the United States of America receives multiple screenings at all airports in Italy and South Korea.'

But the CDC is only insisting on screening passengers who arrive in the country from China and Iran.

While it is only something less than 2 to 3% of people infected who are dying, people are dying. And by far the greater demographic affected are the elderly... Particularly those with health issues such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, and lung problems such as asthma and emphysema.
So? Corona virus isn't going away in a hurry. Find out how to best prepare by watching this video. It isn't difficult, and it costs nothing.

I would observe that there are POLITICAL aspects (i.e., "Trump-Virus"); MEDICAL aspects (per the video); and SCRIPTURAL aspects. And it seems to me that WE are the only ones who should perceive the Scriptural aspect, -- a Plague. And if this is the case, we should anticipate more complications in the cities, particularly in the exploding homeless populations.

But this is only ONE ASPECT of a combination:

Rev. 6:7 When he opened the fourth seal ...
8 And I saw, and behold, a pale horse, and its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed him; and they were given power over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and with famine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.

Rev. 6:12 When he opened the sixth seal,
15 Then the kings of the earth and the great men and the generals and the rich and the strong, and every one, slave and free, hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains,

So what's the answer?

Rev. 18:4 Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,
Come out of her, my people,
lest you take part in her sins,
lest you share in her plagues;

OR -- stay and watch the show, and you also get to participate.

But it would behoove the wise, great and small, to anticipate possibly needing a "cave" to hide in for the sixth seal, -- global thermonuclear war.

Earlier I asked you if Trump was perfect and beyond criticism. You said no, he wasn't. But now you complain and get a bit defensive when Trump is criticized and his mistakes are pointed out. And your "Oh yeah, if you're so smart why didn't you do better" is just childish. FYI, no one else but Trump is the President of the United States.

The facts are there. Trump has contradicted medical experts, made ambiguous and confusing statements, said things that are factually wrong, and treated the outbreak as a political/PR issue rather than a public health issue.

You are right though, this panic because of a virus, requires an approach to stop the panic that is engulfing the whole world before anyone can begin to find a solution that will work to undo what may be a man made problem. Initially a PR approach may be the best response to this issue to allow/enable a better solution to be found. Panic is not always the approach to a problem.

The percentage of people dying might not be accurate. There could be lots of mild cases that don't get reported and tested. If only the most severe cases are being tested, you would expect the mortality rate in the number of cases diagnosed to be higher. The first numbers from China were probably misleading.

In An Exchange About Coronavirus, Homeland Security Chief Gets Flu Mortality Rate Wrong

According to statistics released Feb. 17 by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the mortality rate for coronavirus was 2.3%. That’s based on cases reported through Feb. 11 and calculated by dividing the numbers of coronavirus-related deaths at the time (1,023) by the number of the confirmed cases (44,672) of the coronavirus. (These numbers reflect the information available at the time of the secretary’s testimony.)

But this report has limitations, Mores said, including the vague way Chinese officials are defining who has been infected by the coronavirus.

“We have not been able to understand what precisely has gone on there,” said Mores. “They have changed their case definitions multiple times. It’s murky what has gone into the case count and who has gone into being counted on cases.”

The WHO said in a press conference Monday that in Wuhan, China, the city where the virus emerged, the mortality rate ranged from 2% to 4%. Officials said that in the rest of China, outside of Wuhan, the mortality rate of coronavirus is 0.7%.

My guess is that the 0.7% number is probably a lot closer to the actual rate than 2.3%.

It might go away in the northern hemisphere when the weather warms up. If it gets worse in cold weather, at least Australia has time to prepare.

I don't think we can describe the coronavirus as a plague just yet. In genuine plagues, it is unusual for anyone to survive. In this case, it is unusual for anyone to die. I think the reason for the panic is because people are bereft of faith. "When the Son of man comes, shall He find faith in the Earth?" If He came today, likely not much. People are losing their love, and fear is taking over. When love goes, selfishness takes over. Thus self preservation and stock piling and panic and fighting in supermarket aisles.
Yet the answers are really quite simple. Change your lifestyle habits and make healthy choices and by and large the viruses and diseases of Egypt will have little effect.

It affecting those who dont have faith the worse as they have no where to turn to. Now even the products from the nations with the outbreak are getting affected, look at this on Italy..

"Making things more complicated is a lack of knowledge about the virus's true risks and whether it is spread, for example, through exported goods.

Industry groups and policymakers have signaled incidents of importers of Italian goods in other EU countries seeking additional certification that the goods are virus-free.

The Coldiretti agricultural lobby on Wednesday said that “unjustified documentation” had been requested from importers of aged cheese in Greece, lettuce sent to Poland and fruit to Kuwait, while shipments of Italian-grown apples are blocked at the border with Ukraine.

Coldiretti also said its producers had reported "numerous cancellations without good reasons that struck an entire range of ‘Made in Italy’ foodstuffs, from wine to cured meats.’’....https://abcnews.go.com/Travel/wireStory/virus-outbreak-hits-weakened-italian-economy-hurts-69451678

6 ways the Trump administration has already botched responding to the coronavirus

1. Sick and healthy passengers from a quarantined cruise ship were sent on the same flight home.

2. Despite telling Americans to get tested for the virus, US health agencies are behind the eight-ball with testing lagging behind.

3. A coronavirus patient in California wasn't tested for days.

4. CDC testing has been limited, so the full extent of the virus stateside is hard to pin down.

5. On top of all that, Trump has made funding cuts to the CDC over the past two years.

In 2018, the CDC axed 80% of its capabilities to combat disease outbreaks due to a funding depletion while the White House jettisoned a position on the National Security Council specifically for respond to a global pandemic. In the latest budget, the White House sought to cut CDC's budget by 16%.

6. A US patient infected with the coronavirus was accidentally released from the hospital after initial tests failed to pick up symptoms.

It's not all Trump's fault; part of this is just the consequences of republican policy generally. It's just one of many ways that preparedness has been abandoned in the search for bigger tax cuts. And now we'll pay the price. Let's hope it's not as bad as it might be.

Well different to what Trump was saying, Mike Pence was telling the American people that tests would take some weeks until the tests would be avaliable again.

Initially a PR approach may be the best response to this issue to allow/enable a better solution to be found.

That was Trump's solution. Problem is, if you lie to people about something dangerous, they'll never trust you after that, it your lies become known. And Trump lied about vaccines, the fatality rate, the number of Americans infected and dying, and so on.

Panic is not always the approach to a problem.

Truth would be the right approach. Unfortunately, this president doesn't even know what truth is.

You know, I don't see what I would actually call "panic". I see people taking precautions and trying to be prepared, but panicking? No.

Initially a PR approach may be the best response to this issue to allow/enable a better solution to be found.
Except in this case, Trump's PR is all about how the outbreak affects him politically. That's not the proper priority for a President.

Now this is just weird....

New York AG orders televangelist Jim Bakker to stop advertising 'Silver Solution' as coronavirus treatment

Jim Bakker? This Jim Bakker?

That guy is still out there conning people? And people are still stupid enough to fall for it? I'm not sure how to process this. A big part of me thinks anyone who's dumb enough to give this guy money gets what they deserve. But then I try and appreciate how con men target the most vulnerable and I feel sympathetic to the victims.

Either way, I'm glad the AG isn't tolerating his crap.
