Ok then, why do you think that is?As for the walls, it does not tell us what they will be made of.
WordWill it? What would such a "beautiful" be, in that case?
Are we not told all through the Bible not to judge worth and beauty by Earthly standards? And, was it not written of Jesus, Himself, that He was not handsome, that people would be attracted to Him for His looks?
And, are we not told to desire things "Above", rather that the beauty and riches found on this Earth? (Like gemstones)
I think we are often so shallow in how we relate Jesus' analogies to actual Earthly things.
Chalcedony
12 Apostles too right? What Christian knows which foundation goes with which Apostle? Which Apostle do you take after? EtcThe foundation. Ephesians 2:20
[20] And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone ;[21] In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: [22] In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Heal documentary | A film about the power of the mindI'm just going by the Apostle Paul's words in 2 Corinthians 12:4---> "...that I was caught up to paradise and heard things so astounding that they cannot be expressed in words, things no human is allowed to tell." Paradise was, in the Hebraic mind, a place of unparalleled beauty--a delightful garden. No sin, death or disease to mar its perfection. I also think that our glorified bodies will be perfected--no disfiguring illness or genetic lack of perfection.
they are after all the "gates" to the city, right? The way in iow?now think on what "Pearl" stands for, if you will
and the gates are never closed of course too right. Pretty weird gate huh?Anyone ever find themselves wondering why in the world that "City" would even need gates.... let alone, twelve of them? (Totally inconvenient, since they are supposedly spaced a full 50 miles apart.)
Corrected. Thank you.and the gates are never closed of course too right. Pretty weird gate huh?
More like 500 miles apart if it were literal i guess?
Revelation 21:16 Interlinear: and the city lieth square, and the length of it is as great as the breadth; and he did measure the city with the reed -- furlongs twelve thousand; the length, and the breadth, and the height, of it are equal;
bad English there too hmm
I guess the same for hell, why it need gates? but it enlarge itself, so moving Gates?and the gates are never closed of course too right. Pretty weird gate huh?

Why is it that we need Jesus? Is he not the Door or the Way or the Gate.Anyone ever find themselves wondering why in the world that "City" would even need gates.... let alone, twelve of them? (Totally inconvenient, since they are supposedly spaced about 460 miles apart.)
