Greatly respect. And yes, certainly I am of the same faith, but not always of the same interpretations, especially of most theologians from the 3rd century on.

That's a nice piece of work, but your sole support appears to be from one late 4th century theologian. Even if I had the text in my possession, I wouldn't count this as very strong support, regardless of this discussion or any other one on the topic. I can't think of a single church theologian I greatly respect outside Tertullian. I think this is what I saw before, and why I referred to it as dubious.

Hey I was reading about the times of Jacobs troubles which is mentioned to be the same as the Great Tribulation....and it mentions the Daniel 70th week....so this goes back to the Jewish Calendar and feasts and tabernacles and trumpets.....anyway....I have seen numerous posts that show the event to take place at the final 70th week....
Since you are a Greek/Hebrew scholar does this diagram present the correct time frame?

Midway through the final 7 years of this age the Antichrist is possessed by the beast demon of the Abyss. He stops the sacrifices on the Temple Mount and defiles the temple. (Dan.9:27) This is the "the abomination that makes desolate". The beast begins to push his

The parable of the 10 virgins is a good picture, type and shadow of the pre trib rapture.
5 are taken 5 are left. not all called Christian are taken. not all church members are taken.
The Bride does not know the( day or hr.) of the wedding. She must wait for the Groom to come and get her.
Then they go to the wedding feast. when they get there they go into their room for 7 days ( like the 7 yr trib )
Then they come back the the party.

There's a lot of deception now as well, unfortunately, but it had its foundation in the early centuries after Christ. Doctrines became corrupt fairly quickly. I would honor several of them over much of what we have today, but that's not saying much, LoL.

This does indeed appear to be the case, and worth noting. I've heard some say Darby was the author and others that it originated with a woman from the same time period. Obviously both were wrong.

Well, the truth remains with the remnant even in the darkest of times.

We may disagree on the timing of the rapture, but I can certainly go along with this (in principle). My personal take is that revelation is going to increase among the remnant, who will continue to grow in the knowledge of God even as the lukewarm and apathetic are growing ever more distant. And I think the question over the rapture will work itself out over time as the time of its fulfillment draws nearer.

Further proof of a pre-trib rapture can be found in 2 Thess. 2. Where it's stated that the Day of the Lord cannot come until the apostasy comes first. We used to read the word apostasy to mean a departure from the faith. In this context it may mean a departure from this world.
The next verses in 2 Thess say that the antichrist can't come until he is taken out of the way, that is the Holy Spirit living in believers.
Friends, we can be more certain of a pre tribulation rapture than ever, both from a wide understanding of context all throughout scripture, to plainly stated specific passages like in 2 Thess.

You got the whole passage wrong IMO

II Thessalonians 2:3 "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come , except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;"

The verse says the anti christ must be revealed first.Where may I ask do you see what you are saying?

That day is the Day of the Lord the verse says Christ won't come until after the ac is revealed.

Our Lord Jesus Christ taught that He might come back at any time, suddenly, imminently, without any notice or signs. The most important characteristic of Christ's return is that it could happen without warning, suddenly, catching us off guard if we're not faithfully serving our Master...

Where does that verse say that?Christ in that chapter as well as Mark 13 told us all that must happen before His return.

How may I ask do you miss the below?

Matthew 24:29 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not have her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:"

What part of AFTER, I'm I not getting?
