Just because Jesus said do not go after false Christs, does not mean that He will not be here on the earth at the same time.

I don't hold to this. Kind of makes me wonder how much you actually have gleaned of what I do think. Anyway, I'm used to being stereotyped with others, only it makes discussion unwieldy.

You do realize that the tribulation of those days, started in the first century. There has been ongoing tribulation of the church. People are even being beheaded for being a Christian today, and have been since the first century.

Why would the church still be in tribulation after the church is in heaven?

Why do you claim Jacob's trouble applies to the church? Has the church been scattered throughout the earth, since 720BC, when the ten northern tribes were scattered throughout the nations?

Jesus also pointed out that Israel would become a nation after the Second Coming, if you are going in chronological order. You claim that the AoD happens, Jacob's trouble happens, then the Second Coming, and finally Israel becomes a nation.

His coming for you is the SAME as everyone who is SAVED is imminent, for you know not what day your breath will leave your body.
This has nothing to do with the rapture but only the shortness of time a person has on this earth.

I think he nailed it somewhat. you know a slob of a Christian becomes obsessed with the Rapture ! how it's typically portrayed.

I think that angle started in the USA. it was never portrayed that way in Australia in the 60's to 80's that i heard off at all, it was just from the 90's on that that childish line of nonsense took off here.

Only God knows if there will be an AoD. Jesus never said there will be. He said "when it happens", not "that it will happen".

Human interpretation can make Jesus say anything. If the AoD never happens, no one will have to flee.

So those you hear making up stories that Jesus can come "at any moment", and will rapture us out PRIOR to the "great tribulation" He warned us about, then you KNOW those saying those things are DECEIVED by devils.

I have a friend who's father is a pastor pushing men's false pre-trib rapture theory, and he also is a member of the Masonic Lodge. The highest degrees of Masonry are full of Occultists whose loyalty is in doubt. (See John Robison's 1798 book Proofs Of A Conspiracy documenting orthodox Jewish Weishuapt's Bavarian Illuminati order that had crept into Masonry back at that time.)

Agree. All we need to do to determine who Jesus was talking about as being gathered at His second coming AFTER the tribulation of those days is to determine who the elect are? Clearly, the elect refer to those who belong to Christ. Who belongs to Christ? Those who are in the church. For anyone to claim that Matthew 24:29-31 and Mark 13:24-27 are not talking about the gathering of the church have to ignore the entire New Testament which teaches that the elect are those who belong to Christ, including all Jew and Gentile believers.

Rightly dividing God's Word is not using a sledgehammer.

Human teachings that add additional steps to God's Word outside of the Bible are 12lb. sledge hammers forcing man's understanding into Scripture.

You all don't seem to understand what is even involved in the Confirmation of the Atonement Covenant.
