Many today deny that some people are predestinated to Salvation. That some are predestinated to Salvation is clearly taught in scripture, particularly Rom 8:28-30

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Now understand, them He foreknew are a people who had not yet been born, and yet to be born as sinners dead in trespasses and sins Eph 2:1,5 ! Now these before they had any being save in the mind and purpose of God, had been predestinated to be conformed to the image of Gods Son, who is Heavenly and Spiritual, the Lord from heaven, in contrast to adam the earthy 1 Cor 15:47-49

47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

48 As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

49 And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Remember they had been foreknown and predestinated to be conformed to the image of Christ Rom 8:29

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son,

In 1 Cor 15:49 Paul can write we shall also bear the image of the heavenly, because its been predestined by God from all eternity.

Now in order for sinners to be conformed to the image of Christ, it takes a work of the Spirit as seen here in 1 2 Cor 3:18

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

So this is a Salvation work to be conformed to the image of Christ, it necessitates the New Birth, a Salvation Blessing !

This proves without a shadow of doubt that some have been predestinated to Salvation !

All who are saved were predestined, foreknown and as Paul said in Eph. 1 we were selected by god before the foundation of the world.

Predestinated to Salvation !2

Rom 8:29

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Now those He foreknew [His Elect] them He predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, hence they were predestinated to the Adoption of Sons Eph 1:4-5

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Now in being predestinated to the image of Christ, we must be conformed to Him in spiritual qualities and principles and the frame of our hearts ! All of which means, we must be saved from the penalty and power of sin, and glorified.

All this has been predestinated from before the foundation, not to all mankind, but solely to Gods Chosen, Chosen in Christ before the foundation Eph 1:4-5.

So thats how we know that some men have been Chosen and Predestinated to Salvation !

Just on an historical perspective, most Christians have never held ot the idea of predestination as described by you.
The only person in early Christianity who had a concept of predestination of a person to believe was Augustine, Even though
Augustine is considered the father of the Roman Catholic Church, the RCC never accepted his view of predination. They did adopt one during the Reformation but it still was not the same as Calvin's interpretation.
Most Protestants do not hold to Calvin's view on predestination either.

Your rendering of Rom 8: 28-30 is an incorrect interpretation of the verses as it was for Calvin.

Your interpretation has never been the understanding of those verses throughout historical Christianity as accepted doctrine, until Calvin and those that follow his interpretation which comes 1500 years after the Gospel was given. If it didn't exist for 1500 years, how could it be the Gospel Christ gave, once and for all, Jude 3 and preserved by the Holy Spirit.

When all is said and done, when the clocks of time and history give way to the final revelations to those who were before captive within those things created and mere image in nature, the term "predestination" will cease to exist from the eternal vocabulary that always was.

It is within the light of that eternal reality that the truth lies, including that of the current lowly perspective, which remains in error until it passes. In which case the correction of all truth revealed, without the error of times, is, and has always been: The things once thought to be predestined, where simply yet to be fully revealed by these manifestations from God that were before merely unseen or realized.

Another scripture that teaches Predestination to Salvation is Eph 1:5

5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

The Adoption of Children by Jesus Christ is Salvation, its to become the manifested children of God !

We all were by nature children of wrath and walked according to the prince of this world as described here Eph 2:2-3

Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

However we were Predestinated from that walk unto the adoption of sons ! This is the outcome of Predestination to Salvation !

(Joh 17:5) And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.

Already foreknown, planned and spoken of in the scriptures

(Joh 17:6) I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.

(Joh 17:11) And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.

(Joh 17:16) They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

The punchline...
(Joh 17:22) And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

Before even Christ became immortal (John 17:5) when he prayed to the Father, he already gave, before-hand, those that the Father foreknew, also eternal life; in the same faith and confidence. Christ already knew before-hand. that the father would give him eternal life and so Christ spoke in the present as also give this same life to others of the Father, in the process.

Many folks are leery of touching this subject because frankly they might be insecure in their own salvation status.

They cannot deny that scripture teaches foreknowledge and predestination of the chosen and elected ones.

As the scripture so plainly says, we are predestined to be conformed to His image.

God desires all men to be saved.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Out of all the world of unsaved mankind, God desires all to be saved.

However only those who believe will be saved.

Only those who hear and believe the Gospel are saved.

  • if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

Only those who hold fast, continue to believe, will continue to be saved.

If we don’t continue to believe the initial believing we did at the beginning will have been done in vain.

I myself might have said it without all the filum, but then it would have been from me, and it wasn't.

The point is, from within this fallen world we see all things on the would-be timeline created for "here a little there a little" revelation from God, which otherwise does not exist.

Repeating your supporting texts does not make your argument valid. You have not shown how it could be scriptural and not a theory devised by men.

Mans religion denies the Gospel Truth of Predestination, even though its taught in scripture . Scripture truth #1 Tells us the Gospel Truth that Believers had been predestinated to the Image of Christ Rom 829

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Now understand something, whatever makes up the Image of Christ, being conformed unto His Image, that every predestined one, it will be given to them in time, every Spiritual Blessing Eph 1:3-5

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, 3

Predestined to the Adoption of Children

Another Gospel Truth, this predestination is linked with having been Chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world Eph 1:4-5

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

So this being the case they are given everything essential, necessary, indispensable and Spiritually fundamental for this Adoption to manifest itself in time!

And unbelievers say this has nothing to do with Salvation, what ignorance !

Many people will agree with the statement that believers have been predestinated to be conformed to the image of Christ, however they do it ignorantly, cause what they fail to realize is that the predestination of them occurred before they became believers, and is why they do become Believers. Rom 8:29-30

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

Please note in Vs 30 how that being predestinated comes before being called ! They don't become believers until after they are called. 2 Thess 2:13-14

13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

So with a spiritual logic guided by truth, they were predestinated to the Image of Christ before they became believers and consequently as when unbelievers !3 f
