You actually omit what Rev says about a thousand years happening inbetween the first and second resurrections.

That above of course is a false and an idiotic statement, since I adhere to what Lord Jesus Himself said in John 5:28-29 that BOTH the "resurrection of life" AND the "resurrection of damnation" happen on the SAME DAY of His future coming.

That you obviously do NOT agree with what Jesus said there in John 5:28-29 reveals that you do NOT believe what Lord Jesus said, and thus you also, like Hobie, are following the same false doctrine of men that tries to claim the "resurrection of damnation" doesn't happen until after... Christ's 1,000 years reign of the future. To Hobie, and to you, apparently, it's like that John 5:28-29 Scripture does not even exist.

You actually have this right, but when are people sentenced to damnation, which I would assume refers to eternal damnation in the lake of fire? According to Matthew 25:31-46 and Revelation 20:11-15 that will happen when Jesus comes with His angels and will happen AFTER the thousand years. How can you possibly correctly understand that all of the dead will be resurrected at the same time at Christ's second coming and still try to claim that Premillennialism is true? That doesn't add up.

You actually omit what Rev says about a thousand years happening inbetween the first and second resurrections. You wrongly misinterpret John 5 as the two resurrections happening at the same time, because you don't include what Rev 20 says.

Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

To understand this fully the word "hour" must be understood:

"hour" can be any amount of time since it can be literal or figurative:

G5610
??´?a
ho¯ra
ho'-rah
Apparently a primary word; an “hour” (literally or figuratively): - day, hour, instant, season, X short, [even-] tide, (high) time.
Total KJV occurrences: 108

It's been translated as hour, day and even season.

There will come a time/hour that all baseball teams will play against another team but that doesn't mean all on the same day. A time will come for all the dead to be raised. First, the dead in Christ rise, then after a thousand years "the rest of the dead" will rise. That's what we find when looking at all of the related passages. Leaving the most important passage out of this is clear error.

Another analogy:

"For the hour is coming, in which all who start and complete highschool shall graduate."

No one would argue that every single person who completes highschool will all graduate the same hour, or same day, or even the same year. Obviously, freshmen don't graduate when seniors do.

Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

So, in this unknown amount of time there will be two resurrections. First (called the first resurrection) the dead in Christ will be resurrected. Then much later in this same "hora", at it's end, will the second and last resurrection take place and that's "the rest of the dead" who did not rise with the first group.
Amen, we must unveil the truth in God's Word...

The future resurrection of BOTH the Just and the unjust at Christ's only coming on the last day of this world will happen how my Lord Jesus Christ said, and not how the Biblically illiterate heeders of men say...

Jesus just showed the "resurrection of damnation" will happen AT THE SAME TIME OF THE "resurrection of life" ON THE DAY OF HIS FUTURE RETURN, the LAST DAY OF THIS WORLD.

John 5:28-29

What Lord Jesus said above is very EASY to understand, that is, for those who understand English. ALL... the dead are raised on the day of His future return, BOTH the Just and the unjust.

Does not Daniel tell us that both the righteous and the wicked will arise at the same time when he penned this: -

Daniel 12:1-3: -
1“At that time Michael shall stand up,
The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;
And there shall be a time of trouble,
Such as never was since there was a nation,
Even to that time.
And at that time your people shall be delivered,
Every one who is found written in the book.
2And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake,
Some to everlasting life,
Some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3Those who are wise shall shine
Like the brightness of the firmament,
And those who turn many to righteousness
Like the stars forever and ever.
NKJV

It seems that you are picking the parts of the scriptures that you like and ignoring the parts that you do not like. It has been suggested that those who pick and chose what parts of the scriptures they want to follow have set themselves up as their own god.

It does not say both rise at the same time. Rev 20 is clear some rise first, while the rest rise after the Mill.

It does not say both rise at the same time.

Oh but yes the John 5:28-29 Scripture by Lord Jesus DOES... reveal that BOTH resurrection types occur at the SAME time on the SAME day of Christ's future coming.

John 5:28-29
28 Marvel not at this: for
the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
KJV

Lord Jesus was very... clear in the above, that BOTH the "resurrection of life" AND the "resurrection of damnation" OCCUR AT THAT SAME 'HOUR' WHEN ALL IN THE GRAVES SHALL HEAR HIS VOICE.

So those who REJECT that EASY Scripture above show they would rather hold to an old doctrine of men, and further reveal they don't really understand about that future event of Christ's coming and events of the world to come.

I agree. But, I still don't understand how you can believe that and be Premil. No other Premil agrees with you on this, but all Amils do.

Look at this verse...

Revelation 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

The rest of the dead would have to be included among "all that are in the graves" that will be resurrected when Jesus comes or else Him saying the hour is coming when ALL that are in the graves will be resurrected wouldn't be true. And when does it say they will be resurrected? After the thousand years are finished. So, why do you have the dead being resurrected before the thousand years begins instead?

Your statement above is just 'confusion', simply because the Premill idea simply means Jesus' future return happens PRIOR to the Millennium. And that idea of a Millennium simply means a 1,000 year period. That is only following... the ACTUAL WRITTEN Revelation 20 Bible Scripture.

Now anything ELSE that goes against that simple FLOW of that Revelation 20 Scripture as written, is confusion.

No, it's a FACT that you are the only Premill who interprets John 5:28-29 the way you do. All Amils interpret it the same way you do. Does this make you uncomfortable?

There is nothing shaky about Rev 20 saying the rest of the dead have to wait to resurrect until after the Mill. That means it is impossible for all the dead to resurrect the same time or even the same day.

You seem to forget that nothing is impossible for God to do.

You seem to forget that nothing is impossible for God to do.

It's impossible because God places a thousand years inbetween the two resurrections. We cannot change what God has told us. Besides Rev, other passages that speak of the two resurrections do speak of two. The first is always for the righteous and the second is always for the unrighteous.

Revelation 20 speaks of two groups of the dead that resurrect/live again.

Rev 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
Rev 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.
Rev 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

The first resurrection is the resurrection of this first group of the dead because they resurrect first. The rest of the dead have to wait for their resurrection:

"the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished" (Rev 20:5)

This is the last resurrection of those who are dead. One group resurrected and "the rest" or the remaining ones did not resurrect when the others did.

This proves they partake of the second resurrection also known as the last resurrection because no one is still physically dead after they "live again". This also proves without a doubt that there are two separate days of resurrection separated by a thousand years and how long that actually is doesn't matter.

Part of the dead resurrect and then "the rest of the dead" will resurrect after a period of time. That's the dead resurrecting in two parts separated by a period of time.

The first group resurrects before the thousand years begins and the second/last group resurrects after the end of the thousand years.

Dan 12:2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

First group resurrection: "to everlasting life"
Second group resurrection: "to shame and everlasting contempt"

Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life ; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation

First group resurrection: "resurrection of life"
Second group resurrection: "the resurrection of damnation"

Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

First group resurrection: "the just"
Second group resurrection: the "unjust"

Take note that in every passage where the resurrection of the saved and unsaved are mentioned that the saved or just is always mentioned first. That's important because it is they that resurrect first! Scripture never deviates in this order. Revelation, John, Daniel and Acts all say the saved first, then the unsaved in that exact order.

Revelation 20 speaks of two groups of the dead that resurrect/live again.

....

Once again, that idea of a 1,000 years between the "first resurrection" and the implied second one, is MISUNDERSTOOD because of NOT understanding one of the major changes to occur on the "day of the Lord", the day of Jesus' future return.

On the day of Jesus' future return, the "day of the Lord", man's time in flesh bodies WILL BE OVER, NO MORE.

That means "the dead" reference in Revelation 20:5 is NOT MEANT IN THE FLESH SENSE, but in the SPIRITUAL DEATH sense.

Because Lord Jesus revealed in John 5:28-29 that ALL IN THE GRAVES will hear His voice and COME FORTH, pointing to the day of His future return, He showed BOTH the "resurrection of life" AND the "resurrection of damnation" occur right then AT THE SAME TIME AT HIS COMING.

Thus men's false tradition that there will still be dead people in the ground not raised until after Christ's 1,000 years reign, show they are still yet to understand what Apostle Paul taught about the 'change' that ALL still alive will go through on the day of Christ's coming, nor do they understand the Isaiah 25 Scripture where Paul was pulling from about Death Swallowed Up in Victory, for ALL peoples, including the UNSAVED NATIONS.

Those who can't understand this have the same problem with not understanding just who... Christ's future "rod of iron" that He will reign with, is FOR!
