If we pray and ask for forgiveness then are we forgiven no matter the sin? Also, is every sin just as bad as another sin ?

So, "God-fearing" is something akin to "God-awestruck" -- and not "fear" in the common English sense of the word. Got it. For a moment there I thought we might be working out our salvation with fear and trembling in the classical sense!
More like your real-life Father. He loves you, but disciplines you too. You might idolize your father but know what not to do around him or to do what he expects you to do.

In God's test for sin we either pass or fail there are no grades. Accept Jesus - Pass. Reject Jesus - Fail.
Suppose A and B both pass, but A lives a far godlier and pious life than B does. Will the exact same result await both A and B in the afterlife? (I am thinking about 1 Tim. 4:8 here.)

Hello @Pearl,

I like trying to convey a message with a biblical response, that is truthful. Founded in Galatians 6:7, Paul writes concerning God cannot be mocked. Galatians 6:7 Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. People can reap what they want to in the flesh of this life, or they can reap to the spiritual life which is more profitable. Paul wrote to Timothy in his first letter chapter 4:8 “Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come.” There is benefits to reaping to the spirit now in the life, and in the afterlife. As Jesus said "store up for yourselves treasures in heaven."

All the best.
Not sure what you are trying to convey her @MatthewG . Do you believe what I posted? Sin is falling short of God's standards, and all those who have not accepted Jesus as their Saviour are living in sin. All those of us who have accepted Jesus as Saviour have been brought out ot that sinful life - out of darkness into life - the bible calls us saints.

Murder and rape are crimes but if the perpetrator of those crimes genuinely confesses and repents and accepts Jesus then they will be forgiven and accepted into God's family.

On the other hand good people who do not recognise the need to confess and repent because they feel that they live good enough lives are still living in sin, still living in the darkness because they do not recognise Jesus as the Light.

For example, if i went and murdered someone or did something absolutely terrible to someone then all I have to do is pray about it real quick and then i’m forgiven? How is that fair in any way? What about those who was murdered? There life is over and I get to enjoy the rest of my life? I know that god doesn’t mean I can just go do whatever i want and pray and be forgiven but that’s basically what it says in the bible. Why would hell even be a place if all I have to do is pray about it and be forgiven? Also, how is me stealing a pack of bubble gum from the gas station the same seriousness sin as me getting drunk and hitting a family head on in a car crash killing them instantly… not saying i would ever do that im just using these as examples.
My belief is that we are forgiven when we repent of our sin. In other words, we have to stop committing that sin if we want to be forgiven.

You ask if one sin is as bad as another. I would say no, because the consequences are different for different sins. For example, if I rob a bank, I'll probably go to prison. If I'm married and commit adultery, I'll likely lose my family.

Answer to the topic at hand: Yes. Ultimately it's about trusting Yahavah/God in faith, abiding in Christ, and living for his will.

1 John 1:9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.

I believe that the spirit of man, soul of man, can be fed with the things of God, and in time it will turn them from giving into the things of man as much as the things of God.

This Z diagram shows the fleshly man getting to the point of "dying" and the spiritual man continues to grow with in the person whom is made new in Christ and now has the ability to pray and ask God for help.

Colossians 3:5 Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.[b] 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.

12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.

15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

I took that question to my Pastor. Explained how I found out about the sin and what troubled me the most. His question "Did you know this was a sin? Before committing this sin?" "No"
"Follow the orders of Jesus, Then go and sin no more."

Once a person becomes a Christian..........and im not talking about once you are water baptized..... as that is not how you become a Christian..
So, if the person is actually born again.. then that person can never again be defined by the LAW or 10 commandments... as a sinner.

Why not?

Because the CHRISTian.. is "not under the Law, but under Grace".. and "where there is no LAW, there is no Sin (Transgression).""""

This does not mean your behavior is perfect.. It means that your behavior is no longer defined by the Law or 10 commandments, ever again.

You are very confused.
Yes following a horrendous crime onecan seek forgiveness from God, but part of one's forgiveness is facing the consequences of one's sinful action.
In your example.e it would mean going to the police to admit what one has done.

What is hell? You'll get many answers, I think it is where God is not, that the torment etc is due to two things.
The absence of the blessings that God's presence rings and the realisation of their life's ' what ifs? '
The many many opertuneties they had to accept Jesus.

He'll is not an escape, it is a punishment brought a out by a Holy, Just and Merciful God.

Acts 3:19--Repent and turn around( stop doing the sin) to get sins blotted out. -- That is what gets sin forgiven, not just asking to be forgiven.
