@David in NJ And they wrote for him: God created in the beginning [bereshit], reversing the order of the words in the first phrase in the Torah that could be misinterpreted as: “Bereshit created God” (Genesis 1:1). They did so to negate those who believe in the preexistence of the world and those who maintain that there are two powers in the world: One is Bereshit, who created the second, God. And they wrote: I shall make man in image and in likeness, rather than: “Let us make man in our image and in our likeness” (Genesis 1:26), as from there too one could mistakenly conclude that there are multiple powers and that God has human form.

Arrogant idolater.
Yes, the monotheistic Jews are both arrogant and idolatrous

Once again, Jesus spoke to the people and said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will never walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life.”

13So the Pharisees said to Him, “You are testifying about Yourself; Your testimony is not valid.”

14Jesus replied, “Even if I testify about Myself, My testimony is valid, because I know where I came from and where I am going. But you do not know where I came from or where I am going. 15You judge according to the flesh; I judge no one. 16But even if I do judge, My judgment is true, because I am not alone; I am with the Father who sent Me.e 17Even in your own Law it is written that the testimony of two men is valid.f 18I am One who testifies about Myself, and the Father, who sent Me, also testifies about Me.”

19“Where is Your Father?” they asked Him.

“You do not know Me or My Father,” Jesus answered. “If you knew Me, you would know My Father as well.”

20He spoke these words while teaching in the temple courts, near the treasury. Yet no one seized Him, because His hour had not yet come.

21Again He said to them, “I am going away, and you will look for Me, but you will die in your sin. Where I am going, you cannot come.”

22So the Jews began to ask, “Will He kill Himself, since He says, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come’?”

23Then He told them, “You are from below; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24That is why I told you that you would die in your sins. For unless you believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.”

25“Who are You?” they asked.

“Just what I have been telling you from the beginning,” Jesus replied. 26“I have much to say about you and much to judge. But the One who sent Me is truthful, and what I have heard from Him, I tell the world.”

And only the "trinitarian" ones are not? You see an image of an Italian crucified on a cross and you fawn over it.

Jewish monotheism crucified the Plural Elohim = the WORD was God and the Word became flesh

YHWH YAHshua HaMashiach = Immanuel = God with us = IAM the WAY the TRUTH the LIFE, no one comes to the FATHER but thru ME

So you don’t think Jesus worshipped the God of Jewish monotheism because you think Jewish monotheism crucified … the Trinity? Surely not.

Jesus worshipped the God of Jewish monotheism. - me

Jesus didn’t worship the God of Jewish monotheism - you (I think.)

If Jesus (who is a Jewish monotheist) doesn’t worship the God of Jewish monotheism (that’s weird, but since we haven’t been able to agree on it, here we are) then which God do you say Jesus (who is a Jewish monotheist) does worship?

I’m just trying to gain a clear understanding of who you think the Messiah worships.

YAHshua never worshipped a monotheistic God

YAHshua Says: IAM the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE - no one comes to the FATHER but thru ME

You have TWO that require worship in order for you or anyone to be SAVED

The FATHER Says:
Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus:
6Who, existing in the form of God,
did not consider equality with God
something to be grasped,a
7but emptied Himself,
taking the form of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8And being found in appearance as a man,
He humbled Himself
and became obedient to death—
even death on a cross.
9Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place
and gave Him the name above all names,
10that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

Talmud was written PRE-Messiah, when the Jews were under Babylonian captivity

don't be an intellectual dim-whit
Where is the Talmud among the Bar Kochba and Dead Sea Scrolls? It didn't exist back then. You are the one being dumb.

That’s helpful. Now that you’ve ruled out Jesus being a monotheist, we are left with two questions:

1. What are the alteratives to Jesus being a monotheist? and

2. Who do you say Jesus worshipped as his deity?

YAHshua Says: IAM the WAY the TRUTH and the LIFE - no one comes to the FATHER but thru ME

I worship God and the Messiah.

I worship God and the Messiah.
When Jesus had spoken these things, He lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son may glorify You. For You granted Him authority over all people,a so that He may give eternal life to all those You have given Him. Now this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent. I have glorified You on earth by accomplishing the work You gave Me to do. And now, Father, glorify Me in Your presence with the glory I had with You before the world existed.

There is no eternal life apart from the Lord Jesus Christ

OK, my apology

Let me clarify: the Talmud is the oral law that BEGAN while the Jews were under Babylonian captivity because of their rebellion.

This then BECAME the written Talmud AFTER the MESSIAH because they, once AGAIN, REBELLED against their Elohim.

The Father is the God of Jewish monotheism. You ruled out Jesus being a monotheist. How do you resolve this?

There is no eternal lie apart from the Lord Jesus Christ

Did you mean to say, “There is no eternal life apart from the Lord Jesus Christ”?

If so, I agree. (Typos happen.)

If not, then I don’t know what you’re trying to tell me.
