KJV is based off of Masoretic texts which biblical scholars argue is inferior to the septugiant, which is also what Jesus seemed to quote from.

To be clear I think we can use any translation. But if someone starts to argue the Bible is literal, then you can’t be as loose with alternative definitions, alternative words or having or losing verses. To be a literalist implies a necessity for specific translations .

Seriously though . . . I've sat through this kind of church bashing for years and years, and it's a crock! Are there churches that are false? Sure! That are true but lack maturity? Certainly! Who have been in love with Jesus and have left that? Equally certain. Churches who are vibrant and alive and fruitful!! Absolutely!!!

I like the way Sir Robert Anderson differentiated between "Christianity" and "Christendom". Christianity in a socialogical sense is the totality of those who have the same Biblical faith in Christ being regenerated in Him. Christendom is the cultural gathering of those who identify in some sense as "Christian" yet do not have that faith, are not born again. They may share many of the same values, but are not in spiritual unity.

Failing to differentiate between Christianity and Christendom has resulted in Christian bashing for a long time. Someone looks at a few churches that aren't true and then passes judgment on all the church of God, I think that is simply wrong. It's not accurate, it's not reasonable, it's church bashing based on one's own stereotyping based on their opinions of their perceptions. I hope I'm communicating how weak that kind of reasoning is in my opinion.

And if in fact some are declaring churches to be failing and they are not, then what are we to say? Hopefully that it's just a mistake, and not a lie. We know who the father of lies is.

Paul told us that God will destroy those who destroy His temple, which temple all of you are. Speak against the church of God at your own risk.

The bible doesn't teach that--In fact the divided house i mentioned is a major part of the broad and spacious path.

Well even Paul in corinthians declared it was necessary for divisions to be in teh church, so the tried and true would stand out!

its the leaders i examine mark . oh already know you gonna have errors within the congregation at times
But mark from the ROOT to the FRUIT and every leaf in between the leaders i examined were false , they were grown wolves in wool .

Well I what I did was learn contextual analysis and learned that modern western Christianity ran stagnant with the false assumptions of literalism, young earth creationism and conservatism. I got away from the satanic interpretations of scripture and found Jesus in the love of liberalism and scholarship allowing true scientific reasoning to grow without the grotesquely ignorance of intelligent design. Dropping the Americanism of the Bible allowed me to better see the Jewishness of it.

Fiction is blended in throughout the whole Bible.

Fiction is bridge too far for me . An allegory or parable , yes we see this in the bible and they present us with a way to understand the truth . Do I take the bible as literal , yes and so far no problems with the way I understand the bible . As Christians we do have help with our understanding .

It is very good to fill our mind with good things .
Every word of GOD is GOOD , PURE and LOVELY .
But man its tough to watch so many and many more of christendom headed right into interfaith .
