God never said you can 'be the boss.' But that's how you understand 'submission'.
Make your own sandwiches. :D

That's funny, lol. I can see that you're not really humor handicapped.

God gave Man seniority by creating Him first. So there's a good foundation for about a zillion boy/girl jokes to women who talk like you do! So what's wrong? Can't handle a strong independant Man very much?! Lol.

Ugh. I don't subscribe to THAT thinking, either. Can't there be a middle-of-the-road SOMEWHERE?

Yes, Mamm! It's in the Word of God. If you dont like what it says then take it up with God and dont denigrate Man for it! If you do, then boy oh boy here comes that humor from the Men, lol. You can't just refuse any personal responsibility for anything in this life. That's kooky.

And I want cheese on my sandwich!

Think you might be thinking about 1 Timothy 2:12-15. But again, is this from GOD...or from Paul?

Every word in the Bible is from God to every single soul on earth. Dont you believe in the Word of God?
So what if the Bible was penned by 40 different authors over a period of 2000 years or so. Oh it might sound impossible to a woman but God's ways are much much higher than yours are and just because you cant grasp that God could do something like that doesnt mean that it's some word from Man and not from God. Which is your rationalization to justify your corrupted way of thinking.

Tomato and spinach leaves too! And how aout some potato salad on the side...Lol.

Are you familiar with MGTOW?

I wonder if there is such a thing as WGTOW? - LOL

Pronounced WigTowe. - LOL

[
There is!! WGTOW is a community of women supporting other women who wish to live independently from men and relationships with them. They don't desire marriage or motherhood. It's not that they hate men (although SOME do), or that they're feminists (SOME are) but that they embrace their single lives independent of romantic relationships.

Many of the WGTOW were traumatized by a male romantic partner(s) and they decided to 'take a break' from romantic relationships. Once they did, the realized that they enjoy singlehood much, much more than being in a relationship.

While I don't think WGTOW is a 'movement' that's as large as MGTOW, but it's gaining strength in numbers every day.

Oh yeah? Well just dont try to get me to believe that these independant women who dont need a man, dont do without men...just the relationship! Or perhaps you tune up your own automobile? You fixed your own toilet you said, how did that go for you? Tell me what you did and so forth. (I'm a plumber so can follow exactly what happened). Did you encounter any problems with the job? Is it sll leaking? DId you finish the job or call a plumber?

The WGTOW with child support from previous relationships and hire men to work in their home with that money...because They Dont Need Men!

Do you hate men? You seem to have a lot of bitterness and resentment toward the men you've chosen.
No, I don't hate men. I have a 'man of interest' in my life right now. I hold no ill-will toward any of the men I was with. Water under the bridge.

And everyone knows that the driving gene is in the ribs on the other side of Adam where God took a rib and made her. So she didnt get the good driving gene, but we all know that!

WHAT? You trying to say you dont now my favorite cheese?! She doesnt love me. She's lying. Oh I never told you my favorite kind of cheese?
Well why couldn't you read my mind? Good girls already know that stuff by instinct. (LOL)

That's actually a tough question for me to answer right now. Would probably have to start a new thread just to explain where I'm coming from.

Ok, so I'll take that as a no. I think we have hit upon the answer to your difficulties. You do not read the Word of God enough nor do you believe it. If you read the entire Bible from cover to cover 5 times and saturate your mind with the Word of God, you would believe it then and your faith and your understanding would grow by leaps and bounds.

Faith comes from hearing and hearing through the Word of God. Then as it says...all these things shall be added unto you. You aint no worse than Eve was, she was deceived also. You do demonstrate some good qualities as a woman but some of the ideas that you have are mixed up and wrong. But there is a lot of hope for you as a woman. Because you can easily saturate your mind with the Word of God and as it comes into your heart it automatically goes to your subconscious and begins rooting out the error there. Soon you would be healed of your affliction.

Not everything the the Lord has said to me I liked hearing it. I even said no to the Lord before! For the types of questions that you have about boy/girl dominance or whatever can all be answered by reading the Word of God. And as you continue to read and put God's word within you, the cup of your heart will overflow the old things and any wrongness or iniquity that is preasent gets flushed out of you in the cup runneth over action in your heart. And you become transformed by the renewing of your mind.

Romans 12:2
2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.../KJV

When you listen to the feminism rhetoric you are becoming conformed to to the image of this world and the way out of it and into God's hands is in His Word.

I'm so glad to read this post!

After my divorce, I got back into the dating world (which I hate dating). Many women would tell me how hard it is to find a good man. Of course, me not looking for a man, I did not have a frame of reference.

I pray you lead with Christ in your budding interactions with your 'man of interest.' I believe I read in your exchange with @MA2444 that you were not sure if you believe Scripture. That my wife was a devoted Christian is what I was looking for and our attraction was immediate. After our 2nd date, we've been together every day since. :D

Oh yeah? Well just dont try to get me to believe that these independant women who dont need a man, dont do without men...just the relationship!
But that IS what I'm saying! I haven't been with a man/been in a relationship in 10 years. Simply had no interest. But that doesn't mean that I haven't "needed" a man in some capacity from time to time. And no, I don't mean "need" in a sexual way.

Or perhaps you tune up your own automobile?
I haven't had a car in 6 years, but when I did, I did enough maintenance to it. For example, I've rotated my tires, changed the oil, pulled apart my front dash to replace a light bulb and replaced my rear brakes (which I will NEVER do myself again! :nnna)

No, I never tuned up my car, never rebuilt a tranny or an engine, never replaced any shocks...
You fixed your own toilet you said, how did that go for you? Tell me what you did and so forth. (I'm a plumber so can follow exactly what happened). Did you encounter any problems with the job? Is it sll leaking? DId you finish the job or call a plumber?
This is going back 7-8 years when I was a caregiver for my mother. It was a hectic time, as she was very sick back then. I used a YouTube video and ended up having to replace a CRACKED wax seal. Another job I never want to do again! But I'll tell you what, if I HAD to, I COULD do it.
The WGTOW with child support from previous relationships and hire men to work in their home with that money...because They Dont Need Men!
Again, that's not quite what they mean...

If one is going to triumph over feminism, one must recognize the whole line of thinking regarding the mantra, "Don't need a man" is hateful.

FYI, a "need" based out look is communusm. In economics, the term is want. After a hurricane, the want for a clean glass of water is high and people are willing to pay more than under normal circumstances. My economics professor was asked about "needing" a glass of water. He replied that in economic terms, one just wants it real bad.

Regarding sexual need, see that it is part of the foundation of Maslow's Hierarchy of needs.

LOLOL!!! I somehow KNEW you were going to say something about reading your mind! But wait...isn't it usually the WOMAN who expects the MAN to read HER mind?! At least, that's what I've heard...:hmhehm

I have read the Bible from cover-to-cover. Twice. Took me about 9 months both times. Have read the NT three times. Use the Bible on a daily basis. I'll do a bible study on a whole chapter and even a whole book. I do word studies as well. I read the comments and footnotes. I use other sources such as BibleHub and Bible Gateway. I compare different versions and different commentaries on the same verses. I've read the "missing" books of the bible, and find some of them to be utterly fascinating! The Dead Sea Scrolls are a 'special interest' of mine lately. Have looked into Jeff Benner's Mechanical Translation of the Torah. I wish he would finish the rest of the Bible!

I do other research online as well and have dabbled in Apologetics (which I ADORE).

Jesus DOES tells us to "keep seeking, keep asking, keep knocking..." I apply that to my faith 'journey'. It's hard to say where I'm coming from right now as I KNOW I don't have it 'all figured out'. But I'm not giving up.

I don't read much about feminism, so I really don't know much of what's out there these days. But I DO STRONGLY believe in fairness and the policy of "Do Unto Others."

Well...Genesis DOES say that (I'm paraphrasing) God created a 'helper' as Adam's opposite. THAT, I surely believe! :D
And everyone knows that the driving gene is in the ribs on the other side of Adam where God took a rib and made her. So she didnt get the good driving gene, but we all know that!

My 'belief' in Scripture is kind of complicated right now. I DO believe in God's Words in the Bible. I DO believe in Jesus' Words in the Bible. I DO believe in many of the other Words in the Bible. But some...I'm not so sure about. I'm sure I'll figure out MOST of it, but right now...I'm kind of up in the air.

In the meantime, thank you for your well-wishes.

:jest: Sorry. I don't know WHY I thought that was so funny, but I DID LOL when I read it!
Good! It was meant to be funny. When I dated, I had sympathy for the women I dated. The stories they told of men leading with pics of the privates seemed to be the norm. They made it so easy for me. All I had to do was carry on a conversation and look into her eyes not at her bosom.

On a serious note, I do have a frame of reference for the women on dating sites. Sympathy for them as well because they were not ready for the kind of relationship they claimed to want. Many of them had HUGE ego's. Others were angry, (like you came across in many of your posts in this thread). Others had a lot of emotional baggage.

In total, that is looking at the experience in entirety, people are longing for connection. Some blame "the other." Some don't know the reason they cannot connect is because of themselves. I've posted many vids highlighting that. And @MA2444 has done a good job exploring that on a more personal basis. Please don't read any blame into my words. There is a radio station I listen to that has a good mantra, The world is full of nice people. If you cannot find one, be one.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I raised 4 girls: 3 stepdaughters and 1 biological daughter. I'm happy to report my stepdaughters success in the area of men. 2 married their 1st boyfriend and one married her 2nd boyfriend. Rare these days. Naturally, I credit myself with the criteria they developed in picking good men. :D

As my oldest stepdaughter was on the couch in the fetal position for days from the treatment of her first boyfriend in high schoo, I reluctantly intervened with great fear and trepidation. I simply said:
"You know I don't want to get involved in your love life.
<SIGH. LONG PAUSE>
"But you don't seem happy.
<LONG PAUSE>
"There are many jerks in the world. You don't have to date them all.
<LONG PAUSE>
"I love you, you know?
<AS I GENTLY TOUCHED HER SHOULDER>
"It will get easier."

My daughter was not so lucky, used as a pawn in the divorce, she struggled for a number of years, seeking male attention in ways she shouldn't have. It's still too painful for her to talk about how the women she trusted most, including most especially her own mother, betrayed her. Her mother encouraged behavior that she knew I would not allow; put her anger and vindictiveness toward me over the longterm, best interest of her own daughter. Thank God, my daughter is settled now with a hubby and kids. :D

View attachment 49793
To me, 'want' breeds 'need'. None of us 'needs' to live, but if we WANT to live, there are certain basic elements we need. Maslow lists those needs at the bottom of his pyramid.

In Maslow's Heirarchy, sexual needs is in two places. As for sex being included on the lowest rung, Maslow has been highly criticized for that...until you delve a bit more into Maslow's reasoning.

The needs at the bottom have to do with survival. Sex was placed on the rung as a matter of survival of the species. Sex is on that rung as a matter of procreation; not recreation. If we want the human race to continue, we do so by reproducing through sex. Maslow created his pyramid in the 1940's so the technology wasn't yet available to produce a human without sex (in vitro fertilization).

However, reproduction is NOT a universal desire. Some men and women have no desire to be parents.

No, I never tuned up my car, never rebuilt a tranny or an engine, never replaced any shocks...

I'm impressed! I dont like working on cars either, but I can when I have to. I never rebuilt a engine block I let the shop do that and just bolted on the stuff, heads and stuff. I once rebuilt a Holly 4 barrel carberatour on the table with a parts kit. There was a lot to it but I got it done and it worked great first try! My wife at the time pretty much watched me do it and decided that her carb needed it too. And she did it! It was a small carb but still, she did everything from take it off the car to bolt it back on and hers worked good too.

I'm very mechanically inclined but of a different nature. I know where the red wire goes! I can disassemble your furnace or A/C into a zillion parts and put it back better. or plumbing stuff in the house, or the electrical system. Those are all fairly easy trades. Plumbing can get pretty hard though.

Ok, I know you used new bolts on it because you usually have to, but did you cut off the top of the bolts so the caps would fit on?
Yeah, that's a nasty job all right. No wonder us plumbers charge you so much do it! (That's why I wanted to go with HVAC (furnaces & A/C) because those guys dont have to work in the bathroom and are the "smart guys" of the Trades, lol). They have more respect than plumbers. After all, I know where the red wire goes!

Again, that's not quite what they mean...

But it is how it works so many times in the financial area of life. Sad to say.
