LOL. I Showed how it was unconditional. There is certainly no verse that gives the wife veto power over her husbands lordship, headship and authority over her.
Right. There is more to it than that. "
Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ." - Ephesians 5:21 NIV (add above the scripture below)
Husbands are commanded to love their wives as Christ loved the church. How is that?
Some men love to be in charge, taking authority over their wives. Saying, "
The Bible says so. You had better submit, woman!"
But are men to loving their wives as Christ loved the church? Making her holy, cleansing her by "the washing with water through the word,
and to presenting her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless"? - (vs 26-27)
Men, if we want our wives to honor our leadership, we need to show ourselves as leaders worthy of following.
What are you doing to build your wife up? Are you thankful for everything that she does for you?
Or do you take her for granted? (entitlement) Do you focus on finding fault?
I'm grateful to my wife for all that she does. And I tell her so. Thank you, thank you, thank you...
Ephesians 5:24-27 NIV
Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
25
Husbands,
love your wives,
just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
26 to make her holy, cleansing[
a] her by the washing with water through the word,
27 and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
