Sometimes I get so tired of the steady stream of stress and trials, I would even take something extra bad happening just to have a change from this uncertain period.

Im just stuck and almost everything nice, comfortable, fun, or convenient is out of reach.

I'm stuck placed right above the flames and God clearly wants me to stay there. I trust God. He's worth the grilling. But it's really painful and hard to endure. I need prayer to keep trusting God. To keep enduring.

I know the cross is heavy. Pray that I don't drop it and run away to a more comfortable spot.

First comes Judgement then comes blessing.

It's a principle repeated throughout scripture both Old and New Covenant.

And I get it....trials are very unpleasant....be it economic, emotional, or cultural trials.

If it's just economic trials....move to where there are jobs....but get one first.

♥Ask the Lord for guidance then. If it is for the Lord, it's the right thing to do.
Can any of us do anything to help besides prayer and moral support?
I can't think of anything. Seems we are always just above water in terms of covering needs, so to speak.

Thank you, Cassandra. That's awfully kind :)

Not anymore. I just sing.
Wonderful-I still have my ol' trusty guitar and was the worship leader in the Ark in Durban-when I get "troubled" I play worship songs. I hope you still sing, it's a gift.

Thank you for sharing. Our hearts go out to you. We can’t lesson your burden, but you know Who can.

When I become overwhelmed and anxious, God reminds me to count my blessings, and that He will always be with me, even to the end, because He loves me.

Peace and blessings.

I am not affiliated with any Church for a while now so Church on the go is my guitar and practicing scales-sweet music to my soul. Think of it-Church on the Go can make a nice title for a new song!

Enjoy sister.

Music is a refuge for troubles
Verse 1:

When the morning light breaks through,
And the day is fresh and new,
We're ready for the journey,
With a mission to pursue.
From the highways to the byways,
In every place we know,
We carry the message,
We're the Church on the GO.

Chorus:

Church on the GO, spreading love and light,
In the city streets, in the darkest night.
We're the hands and feet, wherever we may flow,
Bringing hope to the world, we're the Church on the GO.

Verse 2:

In the hustle and the bustle,
Wherever people meet,
In the quiet of the countryside,
On every path and street.
With faith that moves the mountains,
And hearts that overflow,
We share the love of Jesus,
We're the Church on the GO.

Chorus:

Church on the GO, spreading love and light,
In the city streets, in the darkest night.
We're the hands and feet, wherever we may flow,
Bringing hope to the world, we're the Church on the GO.

Bridge:

From the corners of the earth,
To the places in between,
We lift His name on high,
For His glory, we're redeemed.
With every step we take,
And every seed we sow,
We're on a mission for the kingdom,
We're the Church on the GO.

Chorus:

Church on the GO, spreading love and light,
In the city streets, in the darkest night.
We're the hands and feet, wherever we may flow,
Bringing hope to the world, we're the Church on the GO.

Outro:

So let our hearts be open,
And let our spirits grow,
For we are on a journey,
We're the Church on the GO.
Yes, we are on a mission,
With a purpose to bestow,
United in His love,
We're the Church on the GO.

Lol!

Hang onto your faith. Be in constant prayer (1 Thessalonions 5:17). Try to do as the Lord tells you to do.

What if your economic trial is because you obey God?
Then relax and do not worry about it. Sure things might be lean at the moment but God's kids do not go running in the street begging for bread.
You just be you...doing what you can. Taking advantage of opportunities as they come along to earn what you can.

The whole world is suffering from economic hardships at the moment but we are getting by. The nice things are ok....and we are accustomed to having them but they aren't necessities.

And continue to be generous with what you do have. Set aside a portion before you make out the bills. (Firstfruits)

I worked in construction for years as an electrician...meaning I got fired a LOT because when projects get finished I would get fired afterwards. Then there would be times that there were periods of no work at all. And when I'd get another job finally I'd take that first check and give it straight to God. It was usually just a partial check and not a full one...and where things were getting really tight....I still knew more was coming so I gave it as a first fruits offering. Because I believed God would provide. Because God has always provided. I'm still alive...still kicking and causing trouble...
What I'm trying to say is that circumstances shouldn't change who we are. When we feel like being greedy or tight fisted do not forget who you are...we, our communities, and others need our beacon of LIGHT in this dark world...a shelter in the storm.
I'm not saying you should give everything away and live as a homeless person....far from it. Or cripple your household finances to a point of ruin by not working and hanging out at church or soup kitchens....because you need to be the missionary and not the mission field.
You need to work for God and not force God to provide freebies for you.
