Please give a historical account of Christians fleeing Jerusalem in 70AD, waiting?
You acknowledged that the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 AD. What do you think, that Christians just hung around there to allow themselves to be killed while that was happening? That's ludicrous. No, they wisely heeded Jesus's warning and got out of the area because they would have been killed or imprisoned otherwise.

Thanks good work, in reality no citation was needed, it's a fact Jerusalem was destroyed by Roman soldiers, and intelligent person would leave, sorta like half the country of Ukraine has done

I agree time to leave when 70AD destruction was seen

Jesus didn't give 70AD Christians a warning, The Great Tribulation is a future event unfulfilled as you have been shown several times, your claim there are (Two) great tribulations is laughable

Why wouldn't He have done that? And why would the Bible be silent about such a significant event as the old covenant temple being destroyed? It is ridiculous to believe that.

LOL. Why did you ask for that if it's something you supposedly already knew? LOL. You clearly were denying that it happened until it was proven to you. You should stop being so stubborn.

Scripture spoke very clear on the Temple to be destroyed, read John 2:19-22 again and again, or will you be as the pharisees that believed it was a temple that took 46 years to build, smiles

I never have denied a 70AD destruction of Jerusalems temple, no proving was needed

Fact is, it had nothing to do with Matthew chapter 24 in fulfillment as you have been clearly shown

Who do you think you're fooling here? I don't deny that Jesus talked about His body as a temple that would be destroyed. But, He also talked about the physical temple buildings being destroyed. Do you think no one is noticing that you're afraid to answer my question about what temple Jesus was talking about here:

Mark 13:1 And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! 2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

The passage you keep quoting from John has a different context from this one, so tell me what temple you think Jesus was talking about here when he referred to "these great buildings" of the temple?

I wasn't talking about that, I was talking about you asking for proof that Christians fled Jerusalem in 70 AD. You wouldn't have asked for that if you believed that happened, but then you tried to act like you already believed that. Do you always ask for proof of things you already believe happened?

No, that's your wrong opinion. You need to learn what words mean. Tell me, why would such a significant event as the destruction of ancient Jerusalem and the old covenant temple, which was hugely important to the Jews, not be prophesied at all in scripture? Give me one good reason why that would be the case.

When Jesus died on Calvary the veil in the temple Holy of Holies was torn, the temple was "destroyed", "gone", not one stone upon another in the spiritual

The pharisees stood before Jesus in question of a temple in Jerusalem that took 46 years to build, you are doing the same

I disagree with your literal interpretation in a temple of stone, it was the temple in the Lord's body, and my belief isn't changing John 2:19-22

Yes, He did speak of that, which I have never denied, but He also prophesied that the physical temple buildings standing at that time would be destroyed. What temple was Jesus referring to in the following that He said would be destroyed?

Mark 13:1 And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here! 2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Ahhh...there were "LOTS" of stones left standing, one upon another after 70 AD. And many still left standing one upon another 2000 years later.
:o

Thus 70 AD CANNOT rationally be the fulfillment of that particular prophesy "IF" it was meant of the Physical buildings of the Temple being thrown down.

Mark 13:1-2
  • "And as he went out of the temple, one of his disciples saith unto him, Master, see what manner of stones and what buildings are here!
  • And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down."
And before you start rationalizing how those stones were not of the main Temple building like so many others, please pay careful attention that Christ spoke not only of the Temple, its buildings, but also of all the buildings of the ENTIRE Holy City Jerusalem.

Luke 19:41-44
  • "And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it,
  • Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.
  • For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,
  • And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation."
Now, logically speaking, "IF" Christ was really addressing the physical stones of the Temple and the physical Holy City Jerusalem, then it is ridiculous to say 70 AD qualifies since we all know that many many stones are STILL left standing one upon another to this very day 2000+ years later. And "hyperbole" is just a word used when someone doesn't like exactly what Christ said. He was very specific, not one stone left standing one upon another. The "ONLY" Holy City and Temple that could meet that criteria is the corporate congregation of the Old Testament congregation of Israel. Not the Physical building, but as they were the building of God to whom pertained the Covenants before the cross. But not after.

That should settle it, but of course it won't because a myriad of professing Christians choose to cling to these ideas supported by Josephus' writings and Church traditions as if they were gold. ..Well, his words aren't Gold, but God's word is. It always gets back to "authority" of God's word or man's.

Revelation 3:18
  • "I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see."
That's not physical gold you can purchase in the church, neither physical clothing nor eyesalve. But you know that. How is it you can discern the face of the sky, but can not discern the signs of the times? Humm?

True. That was when the Old Testament Israel fell with their stones (representing people/builders of the congregation) because the kingdom representative was taken from Israel and gave it others in three days (Church). Israel as a nation, no longer represents God's kingdom at the Cross.

What holy place are you talking about?

When Jesus comes back it will be too late to repent and believe. The idea of anyone being able to repent and believe after Jesus has descended from heaven at His second coming is not taught in scripture anywhere.

2 Thessalonians 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

Do you see here any mention of anyone repenting at the time "when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven"? There isn't. Instead, it says He will be taking vengeance on unbelievers at that point. It is too late for anyone to repent at that point. The time to repent is today! Now! I believe to suggest that Jews can just wait until they see Jesus coming to repent is a horrible teaching.
Where do the jews of Israel say the holy place is? The jews of the old covenant will be judged by the old covenant. Who are you to judge how Jesus will deal with the chosen. Brother I am not teaching a thing, I'm not worthy.

But if want to see where Christ himself teaches a gap between himself and the end, read Luke 4;17-19 and compare it to Isaiah 61;1-4. I am sure someone has already quoted this, I apologize for repeating.

Jews are no more chosen than Chinese, Africans, Hispanics, White, or any other race upon earth

For God so loved the "World"

God has no respect for person based upon race
