What is the chaff to the wheat . These be the last days and many are not gonna make it .
the love of and for the truth abides not in them .
men will do as men will do
but lambs gonna do as JESUS bid to do . Many are not gonna make it and have chosen the delusion of men
which has fed their heart to the full with the darkness that has portrayed itself as light .
the god who has said Ye are as gods do as thou wilt has taken hold of christendom now .
and the bible GOD inspired is no longer the meat that many desire . These are very sad days
as the few watch the many embrace the lie .

We should always ask the Lord to be with us. He gives breath and life. I don't think anyone here that doesn't ask Jesus to be with us. He went to work with me too, and I ask him to be with me during the days now (retired) That is not the same as not reading the Bible, and expecting things.
I wonder if maybe the "Jesus is always with me, I don't need to read my Bible" might be sort of an excuse not to spend time doing it. You have to take some time out of your day if you are going to read the Bible. If it is no longer necessary to do so, then one would have plenty of time for ones own activities. That doesn't mean that this is what you do
I'm just sayin'
@amigo de christo Got any thoughts? Is Jesus always with you too?
JESUS is always with us . The SPIRIT is always with the lambs . Most folks do make excuse to not read the bible
most folks do make excuse for why they do as they do . but lambs wont .
I was not always a lamb though i had known the concept of the gopsel . now that might scare the holy heck out of some
but it is true .
This does not mean i have never erred ,
what it means is THE DESIRE TO PLEASE GOD IS THERE . and IF or i should say WHEN
an evil thought arises in my mind , SO TOO DOES THE SPIRIT to remind this , THIS IS EVIL , THINK NOT ON IT
HEED IT NOT , KILL: IT NOW lest you act it out .
AND if or when i do err , CONVICTION ARISES and there is no peace unto my soul TILL REPENTACE OF SAID ERROR IS MADE .
THIS most do not know . IS JESUS with us , YES , even when we cannot feel him
even when the hour is very dark and the mind be troubled , STILL HE IS WITH US and HE WILL
guide us through all times .
Even when chastisments for our errors or lack o faith is allowed upoon us , STILL IT IS so that our trust and hope
will not be in us , BUT IN GOD alone .
THE LORD is with the sheep and his sheep WOULD NEVER DOWN PLAY THE DIRE NEED TO BE IN AND TO BE READING That bible .
AND THAT BE A FACT TOO .

IT boils down to the heart sister . the heart of man is evil from his youth and up .
JESUS took the time to do all for our sake , THOUGH HATED by most HE WAS .
JESUS took the TIME to be beaten to beyond reconginitoin
JESUS took the TIME to be crucified .
and yet most wont even take the time to learn about HIM , to read the bible
SOMETHING AINT RIGHT SISTER .
the heart of a lamb HAS been changed and its heart would DESIRE to KNOW GOD
to learn FROM HIM .

I used to ask the Lord to be with me in the morning prayer and then walk away after I said Amen. Go about my business, the Lord will protect me! Yep that was me. Eventually when I got the bright idea to literaly invite Jesus to come with me and talk to Him all day between service calls. Then when I got t a customers house I'd go in and deal with the customer and their problem, and talk to the Lord more on the way to the next call. (I essentially would leave Jesus in the truck). Then one day a job wasnt going my way. The furnace kept blowing low voltage fuses. It's nt a big deal to find a short usually. I know how to do that.

And I'd try it again and POP goes the fuse.. Keep looking and testing. I tried another fuse POP went the fuse. This furnace was being difficult and not letting me find the short. I tested every single wire on that unit and went through a pile of fuses. And finally at hours into the job I had a thought, Lord help me! This man needs heat! It occured to me that I shouldnt have left him in the truck! I was giving up. Packing up my tools and I left one last good fuse in it with the power off. I was trying to come up with what to say to the customer...and the customer snuck up on me, lol. Suddenly he was there with me and reaching for the power switch to turn it on. Before I could stop him, he flipped the power switch on...and the furnace lit up so smooth and nice...!!! And the customer says, Ok I see you have it all fixed that's good!

I still don't know where the short was. But I started inviting Him in houses with me every day after that! No more leaving Him in the truck! I used to rattle off my prayers in the morning blahblahblah, Amen and leave for work and forget Him for the rest of the day. So it's mre than Lord be with me.It's, Lord come with me and we'll talk!

Knowing the bible is quiet different to knowing Jesus. The difference is outstanding.

Hi Guys, excuse me butting in but this issue is close to my heart.

I have just had a marathon dialogue on CF with a 'biblidolitor' and what was revealed was he didn't believe that the Spirit of Christ indwells believers in this age. So it is just us and the book - no direct communicado with the King !!!

Ha ha, You had me second guessing. :Broadly: It looks like he's still in business. :pfite: With and email, you just might have to check and see and see if there's a book called 'The Unknowing Cloud'.

EDIT; forgot to post it. And last time I was there decades ago, it was his son who had the store and dad was no longer with us.

Carl, long time no see/hear. Hello Bro!! :pfite: Are you still talking about being on 'the OLD CF forum', The one where I got 'the left foot' of fellowship, after 10 years and over 5,000 posts.

Why, someone 'might' ask? Well, they 'decided' I was not a Christian. Wow, talk about delayed spiritual discernment.....or maybe just a religious spirit on steroids. Good to see your 'picture/face' again.

Looks like a website template. Even has "dummy" Greek text. Actually Latin.
Not terribly informative.

Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, sectetur adipisicing elit, sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqu enim ad minim veniam.

Funny thing. They actually call it Greek text in the advertising business. But it is obviously Latin.
Who's the REAL dummy? - LOL

Translation:
The pain itself is great, and the adipiscing (coaching) will be followed, but it happens at such a time that with great labor and pain I will come to a minimum somewhere.

I think I'm embarrassing myself. I'm sitting here eating and asked the wife If you were talking about our 51st wedding anniversary....but that was a couple of months ago, and how would you know? Then I o_O saw where it was posted. Wow Steve, you impressed me that you saw it. Right now I'm trying to figure out if I'm the "REAL dummy?" too.

As for Steel's bookstore being a "website template" (whatever that is) I can assure you, when I was there it was about as far from uptown/downtown and kind of in old LOWtown. And where did you see anything written in Greek or Latin on the website?

I hope O'Darby isn't thinking I was putting his book recommendation down. I really blew that title name. :Oh no: I actually did go to that website last night. Downloaded the URL and just took a peak to see if it might tweak my interest. When I hit page 64 before hitting chapter one, I was wearing down fearing a mammoth book. But the chapter was really short. Problem was, the language was harder than reading George McDonald for me. And it was bedtime so I quit. But now I can just let you read it and you can give us all the Cliff Notes rendition. ;)

Shucks...

Maybe the fact I am still there indicates I am doing something wrong ???

You were to me one of the few lights in the fog.

However, battling the unbelief and the system keeps me sharp.

I have less time now though because I teamed up with a guy at church and entered a competition at the university for innovation. Got in the top 15 out of 109 entries - now testing a new wind speed and direction recorder in the wind tunnel and starting a company to launch the product.

When do you get old ???

78 in a few days.

Love you all.

Here's a screenshot from the link you provided.
Scroll down and see the placeholders for photos and text.
This is obviously a website template, not the finished site.

My wonderful wife put the book on hold for us to pick up.
We plan to read it. I can let you know.

It is a Christian Mystic writing about contemplative practice. Not sure if that is your thing.
I'm okay either way. Here's my UR breath prayer text from John 1:29.

The Lamb of God, (inhale)
who takes away the sin of the world! (exhale)

The idea is to repeat the prayer in your mind. (silently)
And breathe as indicated. It really clears the mind of distractions.

Granted, it's not for everyone. This is but one contemplative practice.

75 in 9. But it's been the toughest year of my life....both spiritually and physically. I would not be surprised if I am not 'older' than you. ;)

Be blessed in your university calling Carl. The AGE that the spotless bride of Christ has recently been called to become, has much to do with needed inventions of "overcomers" and not the 'words' of 'underachievers'.

RSV ROM 2:7 to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life;
YLT Rom 2:7to those, indeed, who in continuance of a good work, do seek glory, and honour, and incorruptibility -
life age-during;

May you live to the end of the time of 'this age', which will not be in the twinkling of an eye.

PRO 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal things, but the glory of kings is to search things out.
Keep searching young man. :Shining:

For 10 minutes in the mornings, I have been Inhaling through the nose, exhaling and praying in tongues with the mouth. Then holding my breath until I'm feeling hypoxic (feeling need for more air or pneuma/spirit). Breath in and repeat. I do this while gazing fully into the rising sun. For the first hour the harmful rays are filtered.

0796 astrape: lightning; by analogy GLARE

MAT 24:27 For as the lightning/astrape comes from the east and shines as far as the west, so will be the coming of the Son of man.

LUK 11:36 If thy whole body therefore be full of light, having no part dark, the whole shall be full of light, as when the bright shining /astrape of a candle doth give thee light.

PRO 20:27 The spirit of man IS THE candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly. :Shining:

Years back I wandered into a prayer meeting - all strangers - as I walked in the door a lady came up to me with bible open showing the verse "they shall have witty inventions" You are an inventor she said and the body of Christ needs the gift. total stranger - I have never forgotten. We are calling our startup Godwit Innovations after the bird that has the best endurance record - and this old fella somehow has endured. Glory to Jesus - but hey am I derailing a thread ?

Your right, He didnt stay in the truck, He came in to keep an eye on me, lol. He didnt help me until I looked to Him and asked for help.

It does sound silly, doesnt it?! Who was the Pastor that was fond of saying, If it's Odd, it's God? I have a few even sillier sounding testimonies of things He has done for me too! I guess God does things that way so that He can use the foolish to confound the wise?

I understood what you were saying.
You ended your CONVERSATION with Jesus when you left the truck.
So, basically, you left him in the truck. (where he was when you ended your conversation)
Later, you realized your error and entered BACK into the conversation. Right?
