those who have faith will work
those who merely believe will not work.
My work will not save me, Nor will it cause God to forgive me of one sin.
if our faith is in our works. We may believe God.. but our trust is in our works. Not God.

You say your work will not save you.
No ones own works save them. No where in the whole Bible does God teach our works save.
Only doing the works of God saves
The work of God that we work is faith John 6:28-29.
Jesus taught the work of faith pleases God.
Jesus did not teach faith alone salvation.
You said if your faith is in your works we may believe God but our trust is in our works not God.
You being a faith onlyist put your trust in your faith alone not God.
True faith puts trust in God when he says that confession with the mouth results in salvation.
True saving faith trusts what Gods word says. Therefore saving faith will speak from the mouth the confession in faith that God will save if obey His commandments, Romans 10:9-10
The faith onlyist will not trust Gods word to speak with the mouth the confession that leads to God saving someone.
Faith onlyist will only put their faith in their faith alone.
They trust that their faith by itself is all that they need to be saved.
Rather than trusting the word of God when the word instructs us to work His commandments to receive salvation.
