26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.....
Your FORGOT to include the Mark 13:24-25 verses that go with those 26-27 verses.
Mark 13:24-26
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,
25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.
26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
KJV
Did you not see that timing Jesus gave there for those events,
"But in those days, after that tribulation"?
That sets when Jesus' future coming is.
That also sets when the "caught up" event of 1 Thessalonians 4:17 will happen, the gathering of Christ's faithful... Church.
There are saints in heaven before the return of Christ per Rev 19, correct?
There are saints that have DIED that are with Jesus in spirit in Heaven now. Didn't you read in 1 Peter 3 & 4 how Jesus went to the "spirits in prison" and preached The Gospel to them? and per 1 Peter 4 how The Gospel was preached to the dead so that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit? That event was actually prophecy from Isaiah 42:7 about Jesus leading the prisoners out of the darkness of Satan's pit prison house at Jesus' resurrection.
Hasn't your pre-trib pastors taught you about that? or about 2 Corinthians 5 where Apostle Paul showed that if our flesh body were dissolved, we have another body from God not made with hands (i.e., non-flesh), eternal in the heavens, and that to be absent from the body is to be present with The LORD? Have you not read that either brother?
ABOUT Rev.19.
I well know what the Pre-trib Rapture preachers say about that chapter, wrongly messin' up its timelines.
The Revelation 19:1-9 verses are for AFTER Jesus has returned... and is reigning over the nations, literally, on earth. THAT... is when that marriage supper is held, and NOT BEFORE His rod of iron rule over the nations of Rev.20.
Revelation 19:10 is at Apostle's John's time, with the angel speaking to John.
Revelation 19:11-21 is about Christ's future return at the end of the tribulation, upon a white horse with His army to do battle on earth against His enemies, and take reign literally over all peoples and nations on earth. Lord Jesus at that time of the end will gather both His saints that have died, which are resurrected and He brings them with Him from Heaven (the Matthew 24:31 version of 1 Thess.4:16), and He gathers the alive saints on earth then too (the Mark 13:27 version of 1 Thess.4:17). Then they all go with Him to Jerusalem upon the Mount of Olives where He ascended to Heaven from per Acts 1, and there He and His elect saints begin the "thousand years" reign of Rev.20, and THAT is when the 'marriage supper' takes place.
That is when the casting to the "outer darkness" is also, not before Jesus returns, but AFTER His return...
Matt 8:11-12
11 And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.
12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
KJV
Revelation 22:14-15 reveals a picture of that "outer darkness" event, with the wicked who are outside the gates of the holy city, while those who followed Christ have right inside the gates to the Tree of Life. The Ezekiel 47 chapter reveals the return to earth of God's River of Gen.2 and the Tree of Life during the time of Christ's future "thousand years" reign.
