No. "Antichrist" is a mistranslation. In Greek it means "false anointed". Therefore the antichrist is someone that would come in the context of the belief, not someone that would oppose belief in Yeshua. You are mistaken.

"Antichristos" means either "against Christ", or, "instead of Christ". CP to "Vicar of Christ".

That's not what it says:

1Jn 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

It says anyone who denies Jesus is the Christ is antichrist which means an antichrist. Nothing about the antichrist doing that. In other words, the verse is speaking of a typical belief (denial) of common antichrists. One can be an or the AC and not openly deny the Father and/or the Son.

The church is united in faith, one Lord and one baptism. We have the Word and need no pope. The church while united in faith, has historically been divided. IN the first century the Jews vs. the gentile wings. Also divisions among who planted the local church (Paul, apollos, Peter etc.)

Teh Popes have needed to be withstood because of the vast litany of false doctrine the church has espoused over the centuries.

I would like to know exactly WHEN this alleged "falling away" took place, a major historical event that no one noticed for +15 centuries??? How would something like that would not show up for so long, and all of a sudden it shows up in the middle of a revolt? As you know, the falling away theory has no historical basis, and God promised it would never happen to His Church. He also promised we would be hated by the world.

Except the bible says 42 months, not 5 months. The only 5 month period is before the tribulation and it is not the people of God being harmed but only those without the seal of God. That's well before the appearance of the AC.

Let's be real here. You are regurgitating teachings from the Shepherd's chapel. The two above things are from them, they are unique to their teachings (no one else teaches those two things) and they are not biblical.
