What do you mean by that? Although it has a negative connotation, Jesus was clearly opposed to certain groups of people: the Pharisees, Sadducees, and other "religious" groups.

"An example of bigotry is disliking people because of their culture, intolerance or prejudice, especially religious or racial."
big·ot
/ˈbiɡət/

noun
  1. a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group.

The problem is people who supposedly have a different interpretation are unable to explain their interpretation

once again, I gave you two passages in the past few days and asked you to explain them. All i got was crickets.

How can we see someone elses interpretation when they will nto even break it down for us?
Confusion. Meanwhile the actual intended point of those scriptures gets lost in the shuffle.

Do you think the Bible says a certain thing? That there is an objective truth to be learned? If so, that is the answer. Either the Bible says it, or it doesn't.

I've found, over and over, that disagreements over the meanings of Scripture, if someone is willing to actually follow a discussion through to the end, it will be because one or the other person is looking at a passage, and though reading this, says it means that.

If you think that the Bible can mean different things to different people, and they are all correct, even if they conflict, then who is anyone to say whether someone understands correctly? But if you think that the Bible teaches certain particular teachings, then we should learn what that is, right?

Even if we turn out to be mistaken?

Much love!
I’ve heard before the word is inexhaustible. Unless I misunderstood; inexhaustible in ways the word speaks to us. Yesterday. Today. And Tomorrow.

BUT what surprises me is all the years I heard repeated connections, types, shadows, allegories…things passed down under different denominations. No one had a problem with this, if it fit in their doctrine. No one called “going beyond the written word”. Instead those connections and also, yes the forbidden “taken out of context” studied as being helpful. What is your favorite connection someone has shared with you? Something you never noticed connected but you were happy and grateful to have seen?

I’m not sure what year was the cut off for God speaking of new things through the inexhaustible word of God? What year it became going beyond the written word? Unless it belongs to or fits under a certain denomination?

If that doesn’t make sense. What I mean is …it seems hypocritical to me to study other men’s connections made …while at the same time saying it is going beyond the written word.

For example “you must eat My flesh and drink My blood.”
Would we realize that doesn’t mean God promotes Cannibalism? Unless some man first said it isn’t promoting cannibalism. I do wonder if those first saying it doesn’t mean cannibalism were ever told “yes it does!”

I believe John said something to the extent that all the books in the world couldn’t contain?

Have any of you at anytime had God too speak a word into your heart that ran totally contrary to everything men have ever taught you?

Sister, can you not just receive a caution without getting hot under the collar? Don't you know there are many dangers, toils and snares on this journey? Just be careful. I can't make enough head or tail of your posts to be conclusive, but I seem to sometimes discern a potential danger, at least. What I do see is that the scriptures you are addressing seem to get buried, the plain intended meaning of them, seem to get lost in the shuffle and not even acknowledged or mentioned. I find that problematic.
