The real problem is that you are ignoring what Jesus said. "They will be tormented day and night FOREVER and EVER"!
Granted-but there is good news to be preached/teached-and this topic should not bring divisions among the brethren, assuming they are brethren-the gospel is to "whosoever"

Bible doctrine always brings division.

Bible doctrine always brings division.
So I have noticed-you just accused a brother steeped in the Scriptures as having no knowledge re the B'rit Chadasa--and for your information, look up doctrine and see how many times it is mentioned in the Holy Writ.

ISAIAH 34:10 says a similar thing.

Isaiah 34:10
It shall not be quenched night nor day; the smoke thereof shall go up for ever: from generation to generation it shall lie waste; none shall pass through it for ever and ever.

Isaiah 34:9 NLT says,
”The streams of Edom will be filled with burning pitch, and the ground will be covered with fire.”

So the fire will not be quenched in the city of Edom according to Isaiah 34:10.

Do you believe that?

It says in verse 10 that the fire will not be quenched NIGHT NOR DAY and the SMOKE SHALL GO UP FOREVER.
Sounds similar to Revelation.

But Jesus said Heaven and Earth shall pass away In Matthew 24:35.
Revelation 21:1 says that the Earth passed away.

So again…. How can the city of Edom have it’s smoke go up FOREVER?
How can the burning fire not be quenced if that is the case?

You cannot answer because you don’t know. But it sets up a contradiction.
I take this to mean that the city of Edom will not be burning for all eternity because the Earth will pass away.
So it’s a metphorical language for destruction of this city. A man can say that he will be with his wife forever, but that is only in context to as long as they each shall live on this Earth. But yet, it’s not a contradiction for this man to say that.

Do you realize that everyone you lead to "everlasting fire", their blood will be on your hands on Judgment Day!

Have you ever read the NT? Doesn't sound like it!

"They will be tormented day and night FOREVER and EVER"!
I can say that you have not read the New Testament, too. But that really does not prove anything. Again, we are back at square one if you refuse to look at the points I made for Conditional Immortality that you are ignoring. So around and around we go.

I can say the same for you. But ad hominems really don’t prove your right. Again, deal with my points I made or move on.

Then why are 'Christians' obsessed with denial of the "everlasting fire" that Jesus warned us about? Sounds exactly like what Satan's children would do.
Actually most Christians believe in ECT. But what is popular is not always true.

Should we believe you or Jesus?

@Bible Highlighter -[Have you ever read the NT? Doesn't sound like it!] You don't think this is an accusation Jack?
The man is steeped in Scriptures, and there are 3 possible interpretations as to aionos-and he was kind enough to share the links, have you read it?

I don't want to stir up a fight here, that's not my intention-but in a debate you must prove, from extra-biblical sources, how the rabbis viewed Hell and the afterlife, and why the Church Fathers, Origin, Tertulian etc. viewed this topic and preached on it the way they did, and then what the Bible is saying, and our brother brought up some good points, I am not fully persuaded though but he understands.
I hope this is well between me and you.
J.

This calls for a bit of Church history-the links are there, do some research

And no eternal Hell fire is very popular among Satan's children leading people to Hell!

Yes- especially since it is unbiblical, Jack!
Guess Who said this. His Name is Jesus, God of the Bible.

Matthew 25
41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

Fortunately, I believe in eternal hell fire, same as you, but there is a certain tendency to scorn and mock those who are on their way to Hell, a sadistic kind of pleasure-not knowing that we might end up there brother.

And who are we to scorn and mock?
