And? So? What about it?
Because YOU keep whining about human teachers in the Catholic Church.

What do you think the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20) was about, Einstein??

Ignatius a lifelong disciple of John the Apostle ? who not once mentioned Ignatius in Scripture?
And I’m sure there are DOZENS of people John didn’t mention in Scripture.
What difference does that make??

Gee - I wonder who verified this mans self-importance....besides his own letters? LOL
Ummmm, the fact that he was the Bishop of Antioch in the first century, appointed by Peter..
You see – that’s what you DON’T have as a ProtestantApostolic Succession.

It’s no wonder why you don’t understand . . .

The Great Commission was issued to the disciples of Jesus Christ – not children.

What is this anti-Catholic obsession with “buildings”?
The Church doesn’t teach that God is confined to buildings. He is omnipresent (that means “everywhere”).

Sorry for the big word . . .

Protestants believe in progressive revelation.

Then God reveals... –

Other doctrines which clearly developed were the afterlife,
  • the Holy Spirit,
  • the equality of Jews and Gentiles,
  • bodily resurrection,
  • Christ’s sacrifice as a development of the sacrifice of lambs, etc.
No doctrine emerges in the Bible complete with no further need of development.

Objection

Granted, some doctrines have developed. But Catholics go beyond the Bible when they develop doctrines, such as Mary and purgatory. There is no biblical check on the development, so that it can go off into false teaching and the traditions of men.

Reply to Objection

There is more evidence for acceptance of the doctrine of purgatory in the Church fathers than for original sin (accepted by all Christians). One cannot have it both ways. If purgatory is unacceptable because it developed “late,” then original sin must be rejected with it. Catholics can give plenty of biblical evidences of purgatory. At the time the Marian doctrines were developing, so were things like the canon of Scripture and Christology and the Trinity. If those things could develop many centuries after Christ, why is it objectionable for the Marian doctrines or eucharistic theology to also do so? The Church decided what was a true development and what wasn’t.

One simply needs to become familiar with Catholic biblical apologetic arguments. The idea of doctrinal development is a key, in any case, for understanding why the Catholic Church often appears on the surface as fundamentally different than the early Church. Thoughtful Protestants owe it to themselves and intellectual honesty to ponder this indispensable notion before lashing out at the allegedly “unbiblical excesses” of Catholicism.
Development of Doctrine: A Corruption of Biblical Teaching?

The Lords Doctrine from the Beginning of “inexperienced” mans creation, has been REVEALED bit by bit...

And You SAY Catholics “go beyond the Bible of REVEALING ...
to: DEVELOPING Doctrines.”

Why?

God tells us to do this very thing

God Himself “TESTS” men, BEFORE a man is “qualified” to receive His offering of Salvation. ( and WHY a man can NOT “receive” Salvation and then “lose” Salvation. )

Receipt of Salvation REQUIRES that individuals TRUE HEARTS THOUGHTS Believes in the Lord God.

Jer 17:
[10] I the LORD search the heart....

Some of you folks out there are acting as if the Catholic Church so pagan as
to be a useless cult, but I was with the Church the first 24 years of my life
and in catechism and parochial school before becoming lapsed, and I have a
lot to thank the Church for.

1» It was the Church who taught me there's a Heaven to gain and a Hell to
fear.

2» The Church taught me that the cosmos-- all its forms of life, matter, and
energy --is the result of intelligent design.

3» The Church taught me that Jesus is not only human, but also divine.

4» The Church taught me the Ten Commandments, the Beatitudes, and a
host of biblical moral values that have stuck with me to this very day. (Yours
truly turned 79 in January)

5» The church taught me that Jesus' death on the cross was an atonement
for the sins of the entire world.

6» The Church encouraged me to be a good citizen, comply with the laws of
the land, and mind my parents.

Yes, there are certain aspects of The Church that many of us find
disagreeable, but I will never believe my time under its wing was wasted.
The Church got me started in Christianity; I owe it a debt gratitude for at
least that much.

Now, for the record, although I no longer believe Catholicism is the one and
only true church, I do firmly believe it is in the one and only true church.
Here's what I mean:

Jesus told a parable about a special grain of mustard seed that grew to be
a tree. Anon birds came to roost in its branches. Well, birds and serpents are
usually elements of evil in the Bible; which strongly suggests to me that
every branch of that mustard tree was infested with wickedness in one form
or another; so don't ever think that your own favorite denomination is 100%
reliable and/or above reproach.

What you repeatedly FAIL to comprehend IS:
Human teachers, Human Clerics ARE SECONDARY TO THE TRUTH.

When your human teachers and human Clerics Create their own TRUTH, and verify their own TRUTH with their own Words....you have created a false, false scenario.
When you are following that scenario, that is accounted to you.

Act 5:
[29] Then Peter and the other apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

Every domination has those who agree and disagree with particular aspects of each domination.

Calling any domination a “pagan useless cult”, would hang on an individuals opinion.

Non-Catholics are not posting to exalt the Catholic Church, but rather challenge their teachings, curious of their answers of WHY they teach this or that, (which the answers to WHY, are mostly gobbledygook) and visa versa regarding other denominations.

Jesus
guaranteed that the Holy Spirit would guide His Church to ALL truth (John 16:12-15). THIS is why He said to the leaders of His Church:
Luke 10:16
Whoever listens to YOU listens to ME. Whoever rejects YOU rejects ME. And whoever rejects ME rejects the ONE who sent ME."

This guaranteed from Jesus was NOT made to every individual.

If that were the case – we wouldn’t have tens of thousands of perpetually-splintering factions that ALL teach different doctrines based on the personal interpretations of your HUMAN founders.

Scripture verifies Scripture.
Your Catholic “fathers” fail the test of Scriptural valadiation.

I am Born of God, He is my Father, and that supersedes all your babbling about men not named in Scripture.

* IF YOUR EAR IS PRESSED TO man who LIES....
* AND YOU FOLLOW ALONG IN AGREEMENT with a mans LIES...

* YOU ARE NOT SCRIPTURALLY TAUGHT TO listen, and follow him.
* A LIAR is NOT equal to JESUS!
YOU have MADE expressly clear, YOU follow the teachings of “Catholic” men “who HAVE added to Scripture...and TEACH it is Scriptural”...

Prov 6:

The Lord’s Church is not a BUILDING.
Any man can Preach in a BUILDING “called a Church” and NOT BE IN the Lord’s Church.
THE CAVEAT...of the Holy Spirit guiding the Lord’s Church, is a A man Preaching the Lord’s Word.

You blindly following men WHO claimed they were Preaching the Lord’s Word, and the only VERIFICATION is of the man himself....
You have been duped.

If that were the case – we wouldn’t have tens of thousands of perpetually-splintering factions that ALL teach different doctrines based on the personal interpretations of your HUMAN founders.

You are so fixated on repeating your old worn out claims, it’s laughable.
Your own Catholic Church is full of people who AGREE and DISAGREE with Catholic teaching...

Now WHO IS MORE HONEST....a group all calling themselves Catholics who disagree one with another....or congregations who ALL agree and splinter off.

LOL :Laughingoutloud:

First – why don’t YOU tell ME how YOU’RE sure that John mmentioned EVEERYBODY he knew in His letters.

What an idiotic claim . . .

LOL...

Soooo, because John doesn’t mention Ignatius in Scripture – he DIDN’T exist??
It’s a fact of HISTORY, Einstein.

You might as well question whether George Washington existed . . .

Uh, WHO verified that “supposed” Fact?
The Church has documentation going back to the Apostles.

Ignatius wrote SEVEN Letters on his way to his martyrdom in Rome at the beginning of the 2nd century.

Just like YOU'RE not named in Scripture - and neither is a SINGLE ONE of your Protestant Fathers whose errors you follow.

Doesn't mean they didn't exist . . .

Buildings are fascinating ... I have one, I call a home. I have another, I call a barn, and some people have even offered a Salvation Trade for their Labor to build a structure... Fascinating!
