The originating seminal issue has still not been addressed.

Why did Matthew not, in the Greek, render Matthew 16:18 as "Petros/Petros", which would have reflected Aramaic's singular rendering?

But Matthew didn't. He rendered the Greek as "Petros/Petra".

He rendered it thus because the Holy Spirit inspired him to clearly highlight the distinction between Peter the pebble; and Christ the Rock on Whom His Church is built.

Every recognized historical Greek manuscript of Matthew of which I'm aware renders Matthew 16:18 as "Petros/Petra".

That includes the Codex Vaticanus in the Vatican library.

Which demolishes the RC fallacies of Peter as the rock of the church, Peter as the first pope, apostolic succession, et al.
And I've explaine this to you on this very thread about TWELVE times.
The fact that you refuse to accept the language barrier between Aramaic and Greek is due you your own spiritual prde because it means that you woul have to AGREE with the Catholic peron. And that is unthinkable to you . . .

Not eeven a child needs to have this exaplined a Ddozen times - but I'll explain it ONE more time for YOU:

a.
The GREEK of Matt. 16:18 uses the terms "Petros" and "Petra".
However - Jesus spoke ARAMAIC, not Greek.

b. Sknce Matthew is in Greek - the ONLY option for his was to use "Petros" because is is a MASCULINE noun.
He could NOT call him "Petra" because it is a FEMININE noun, so it would be akin to calling him "Patriacia".
STILL
with me?
Good - let's move on . . .

Paul, using a Greek transliteration for the Aramaic word thatJesus used, "Kepha" refers to Peter as "CEPHAS" in his letters.

So, the question for YOU is:
WHY didn't Paul call him "Petros"??
WHY did he make up the name "Cephas" instead?

KJV Isaiah 1:9
9 Except the LORD of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as Sodom, and we should have been like unto Gomorrah.

God also promised to be faithful to Israel, yet after being refused, rejected, and disbelieved, Jesus declared at the end of His ministry, your house is left into you desolate.
Although God rejected Israel as His chosen vehicle for reaching mankind and demonstrating the true character of God to the world, the above prophetic message applied... God retained a remnant despite the enemy prevailing over the majority. Individuals believed, and joined the church.
Another deeply-flawed SDA interpretation.

God (the Son) ALSO declared that His Church would be guided to ALL TRUTH (John 16:12-15) and woiuld NEVER succumb to darkness (Matt. 16:18). It's a shame you didn't take Him seriously.

So, tell me – do YOU believe that only a HANFFULL of people will make it to Heaven?
OR, was Jesus speaking in the context of the ENTIRE history of billions and billions and billions of people?

In that context – many millions and millions and millions could be a “small remnant”. And the “few” that enter the narrow gate.
You seem to forget that God is NOT bound by time (Pet. 3:8).

This is REALLY an idiotic exercise in futility on YOUR part.
I’m ONLY in this discussion with you to further expose you to everybody reading this.,

It’s already been shown to you that EVERYBODY uses.
So, Ignatius should be disregarded because he used sine metaphors in his writing.

Should JESUS be disregarded for using metaphors?
Should PAUL be disregarded for using metaphors?
Should the GOSPELS be disregarded because of the use of metaphors?
Should we continue this idiotic point of yours – or has it finally sunk in?

This is how Ignatius and Augustine describe the Eucharist:
Ignatius of Antioch

They abstain from the Eucharist and from prayer because they do not confess that the Eucharist is the flesh of our Savior Jesus Christ, flesh which suffered for our sins and which that Father, in his goodness, raised up again. They who deny the gift of God are PERISHING in their disputes (Letter to the Smyrnaeans 6:2-7:1 [A.D. 110]).

Augustine
What you see is the bread and the chalice, that is what your own eyes report to you. But what your faith obliges you to accept is that the bread IS THE BODY OF CHRISt and the chalice IS THE BLOOD OF CHRIST.
This has been said very briefly, which may perhaps be sufficient for faith, yet faith does not desire instruction (ibid. 272).

Only an ignoramus would consider EIITHER ONE of these letters as “Metaphorical” . . .
Do you believe the Roman Catholic people and it's Pope is a true Christian church on earth?

If you can't understand plain English and logic, I can't help you. Sorry.

Christ is declared to be "Petra" in 1 Corinthians 10:4.

Why is Christ declared to be "Petra" there if "Petra" is feminine, but Christ is masculine?

If the masculine Christ could be described as the feminine Petra, why could the masculine Peter not also be described as the feminine Petra, if he actually was Petra?

But Peter wasn't Petra.

He was Petros.

The pebble.

Not the rock.

Yes, practicing Catholics are true Christians. But the Catholic Church does not claim to be the only church with truths. This has been explained repeatedly and you just arrogantly reject it.
from the catechism:

817 In fact, "in this one and only Church of God from its very beginnings there arose certain rifts, which the Apostle strongly censures as damnable. But in subsequent centuries much more serious dissensions appeared and large communities became separated from full communion with the Catholic Church - for which, often enough, men of both sides were to blame."269 The ruptures that wound the unity of Christ's Body - here we must distinguish heresy, apostasy, and schism270 - do not occur without human sin:

Where there are sins, there are also divisions, schisms, heresies, and disputes. Where there is virtue, however, there also are harmony and unity, from which arise the one heart and one soul of all believers.271

818 "However, one cannot charge with the sin of the separation those who at present are born into these communities [that resulted from such separation] and in them are brought up in the faith of Christ, and the Catholic Church accepts them with respect and affection as brothers . . . . All who have been justified by faith in Baptism are incorporated into Christ; they therefore have a right to be called Christians, and with good reason are accepted as brothers in the Lord by the children of the Catholic Church."272

819 "Furthermore, many elements of sanctification and of truth"273 are found outside the visible confines of the Catholic Church: "the written Word of God; the life of grace; faith, hope, and charity, with the other interior gifts of the Holy Spirit, as well as visible elements."274 Christ's Spirit uses these Churches and ecclesial communities as means of salvation, whose power derives from the fullness of grace and truth that Christ has entrusted to the Catholic Church. All these blessings come from Christ and lead to him,275 and are in themselves calls to "Catholic unity."276

Toward unity

820
"Christ bestowed unity on his Church from the beginning. This unity, we believe, subsists in the Catholic Church as something she can never lose, and we hope that it will continue to increase until the end of time."277 Christ always gives his Church the gift of unity, but the Church must always pray and work to maintain, reinforce, and perfect the unity that Christ wills for her. This is why Jesus himself prayed at the hour of his Passion, and does not cease praying to his Father, for the unity of his disciples: "That they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be one in us, . . . so that the world may know that you have sent me."278 The desire to recover the unity of all Christians is a gift of Christ and a call of the Holy Spirit.279

Your list is a clear indication that you are unwilling to engage in any serious discussion, attacks and insults is not discussion, it's persecution. That's why I have you on ignore most of the time. You refuse to be reasoned with.

If the unity of Christians was meant to convince the world that Jesus was sent by God, what does the ever-increasing fragmentation of Protestantism say to the world?

Oh, I forgot. You don't answer questions, but swallow down whole every LIE ever printed against the Catholic Church. Then you enter a forum pretending you know what you are talking about, twisting and distorting theological terms you have no clue about. Only God can heal you of your prejudice, not arguing in forums.

- Mary Adoration -
- Saint Adoration -

Asking Mary and the saints to pray FOR us is Biblical.

As the Body of Christ – we are commanded in Scripture to intercede for one another ((James 5:16, 1 John 5:16). Rev. 5:8 shoes the elders in Heaven TAKING OUR PRAYERS TO GOD. Rev. 8:5 shows the angels doing the SAME thing.

- Icons and Statues "Idols" -
This is another anti-Catholic whopper . . .
An “idol” is something other than God that you WOESHIP.
The Catholic Church condemns this practice. We worship GOD and GOD alone

- Repetitious prayers? -
WHO
told you this was a problem??
In Matt. 6:7, Jesus was speaking about the nonsensical babbling of pagans to their gods – NOT the sincere prayers of the faithful.

In Matt. 26:44, Jesus himself prayed the EXACT SAME prayer no less than THREE times in the Garden of Gethsemane after the Last Supper.

In the Parable of the Determined Widow in Luke 18:7, Jesus emphatically states that God hears those who keep petitioning him in sincere faith: “Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night? Will he be slow to answer them? I tell you, he will see to it that justice is done for them speedily.”

In Luke 18:13, the tax collector kept on beating his breast and praying, “God be merciful to me, a sinner.” This was pleasing to God.

We see in Rev. 4:8 that the angels pray the EXACT SAME prayer day and night without ceasing in the presence of almighty God, “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty.”

Psalm 136 goes on for 26 verses in a row, repeating the EXACT SAME prayer, “God's love endures forever”.

Similarly, in Dan. 3:56-88 we read the EXACT SAME prayer for 32 verses, which is “bless the Lord; praise and exalt him above all forever.”

Could any of these examples be considered the “vain repetitions” that Jesus spoke against?
Absolutely NOT.

I’ll address these last 3 in a separate post. I’m late

Roman Catholicism has been a persecutor of the Christian Church on this earth, evil beyond mention

Try studying the council of Trent and the inquisitions, and yes these evils haven't been revoked, and are still in effect today

  1. Make the Sign of the Cross.
  2. Holding the Crucifix, say the Apostles' Creed.
  3. On the first bead, say an Our Father.
  4. Say one Hail Mary on each of the next three beads.
  5. Say the Glory Be

  7. While fingering each of the ten beads of the decade, next say ten Hail Marys while meditating on the Mystery. Then say a Glory Be.
(After finishing each decade, some say the following prayer requested by the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima: O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who have most need of your mercy.)
  8. After saying the five decades, say the Hail, Holy Queen, followed by this dialogue and prayer:
    V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
    R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray: O God, whose Only Begotten Son, by his life, Death, and Resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech thee, that while meditating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Why does it say the "New Covenant" Jesus made is only for the Jews?

Hebrews 8:8 - But God found fault with the people and said: “The days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah.
Hi Mike,
God Made a Covenant with the Hebrews. And the 12 Tribes Of Israel.

It was established, by through Gods Offer IF /THEN....
EX 19: 5
It was Accepted, by the Hebrews.
EX 19: 8
We will do...

The head, prophets, taught the Same to the children/people of the Tribes Of Israel.

IF / THEN....and oops...sometimes Did, sometimes Did NOT.

Negative Consequences...for Not Doing.

Repeat. Do, positive Consequences; Do Not Do, Negative Consequences.

** And What Exactly was The Covenant for and about?

Do as God Directed....And God would Be WITH, the Hebrews, Tribes, Individual men....
Do NOT DO....And God Would Not Be WITH, the Hebrew, Tribes, Individual men.

KEY words.....God WITH....God WITHOUT

** The New Covenant...
Offering OF Gods SPIRIT to be....”IN” A man.

KEY Words...Gods SPIRIT “IN” a man.

“IN” What Man? Any Race...Hebrew, Tribes Of Israel, Gentile’s.

Against a mans WILL? No. Only via the Consent OF the “individual” man.

IF and WHEN any man Consents FOR Gods Spirit to BE “IN” the man....

What does THAT....(bottom line, Ultimately MEAN). ??

1) God will NEVER LEAVE THAT man.
2) That man (by Gods Power), will NEVER LEAVE God.

Gods Spirit IN a man...Effects Forever...
Forever God WILL be WITH that man.
Forever that man WILL be WITH God.

The OLD Covenant...
God could be With then Without men.
Men could be With and Without God.

The NEW Covenant....
God Can NEVER Leave that man.
Man Can NEVER Leave God.

Warning...BE SURE, Before you Decide, choose your Election....It IS Forever.

2 Pet 1:
[10] Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

Remember....IF you choose “another god”... that Election AS Well, is forever...and God Shall forever Not Be WITH you.

Jesus DIVIDED the people.
Jews and Jews
Gentile’s And Gentile’s.

Luke 12:51
John 7:43

Matters Not the Race (Jew or Gentile)...
Any man Electing Gods Spirit to BE IN that man...forever a man Who HAS Gods Spirit IN Him...is Forever WITH God and God Forever WITH that man.

Some Jews will choose Yea, Gods Spirit IN them, some Jews will choose Nay.
Some Gentile’s will choose Yea, Gods Spirit in them, some will choose Nay.

Choose YEA....and Race becomes Irrelevant...
Choose YEA...you become a son of God.

Glory to God,
Taken

The house of Judah is most likely an analogy and connected with Jesus, his then followers ( disciples) and the gentile believers since his death and resurrection, who have been saved by grace through faith. The house of Israel (as an analogy) are those who are OT believers who need to be saved by grace through faith

Yes “praying the Rosary” Is a man, (who has assumed the identity Catholic), made up Ritual....for others who have assumed the identity and association of Catholic Rituals.

And ....the EXPRESS teaching hailing Mary as the Queen Of Heaven, the Mother of God, the intercessory deliverer of Prayers to God...Eeek!

Talking TO, Summoning The Dead IS Expressly Taught in Scripture TO never Do....but IF you do...expect Negative Consequences!

Scripture simply reveals to Remember those Identified BY NAME in Scripture WHO served God According To His Will... And the Great Blessing God Bestowed Upon those named Individuals... FOR their service they rendered unto God According TO HIS will.

It’s an Exampled Lesson For ALL men...Do Gods Will...expect Great Blessing FROM God!!

You Do Gods Will And an Other Does Gods Will, you and the other Have Become Made BRETHERN!

(Race Division Of Jew And Gentile...is Made MOOT)

Scripture Never Makes a fellow (Brethren, male or female).....to Become the Queen Of Heaven or Gods Mother or the receiver of Prayers from Bodily Alive saints!

Corrupt Teaching.

Luther's 95 theses do not mention infant baptism or condone any "false traditions".

The Reformation had nothing to do with infant baptism or any "false traditions".

The Reformation succeeded because God opened the spiritual eyes of the Reformers to recognize and confront the antichrist of apostasy that had spiritually oppressed and enslaved His True Church.

Through God's grace and mercy, and the resolute faith, vision, and sacrifice of His Reformers, the Reformation was successful.

And you don't have to recite the rosary.

Thank God for the Reformation.

Agreed. I think the house of Judah is a preeminent tribe, one of 12. The house of Israel is a nation, all 12..

Praying the Rosary

Familiarize yourself and/or your group with the prayers of the rosary.

rosary
  1. Make the Sign of the Cross.
  2. Holding the Crucifix, say the Apostles' Creed.
  3. On the first bead, say an Our Father.
  4. Say one Hail Mary on each of the next three beads.
  5. Say the Glory Be
  6. For each of the five decades, announce the Mystery (perhaps followed by a brief reading from Scripture) then say the Our Father.
Amen.
And apparently you didn't learn ANYTHING from the Bible Leaaon I gave yo on tje efficacy of repetitous pyaer. Prayers of the faithfuol are ALWAYS pleasing to God - whether you say them ONCE or a THOUSAND times. And, other than the Lord's Prater - ALL prayers are "man-made" so your objection on this basis is asinine. YOUR disdain for repetitous [rayer is a disdain for the Word of God.

Here is the Biblical evicence once again for your edification.
THIS time, give me an actual REASON for your rejection of these verses . . .
