Don't twist my words around as if I'm saying something I'm not.

Much love!

You know scripture plainly teaches us that Jesus is a human person. Continue to believe that Jesus is a human person.

The doctrine of the Trinity requires us to believe that Jesus is not a human person.

What I continue to believe is that Jesus is YHWH, exactly like the Bible presents Him. God incarnate in human flesh. God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, One God. The Trinity.

When you've come to spinning my words to make your point, the discussion isn't going to go anywhere. And if your logic is that "God cannot be such and such, and Jesus is such and such", what kind of reasoning is that? You've selected the conclusion before even beginning.

My cat isn't a basketball, so this basketball isn't my cat. That's the way this logic plays out.

Much love!

Are you Catholic?

No. I was raised Southern Baptist. My wife was raised Roman Catholic. (We’re both Jewish monotheists now.) Several of her relatives are nuns, priests and deacons. Several of my relatives are Baptist preachers and deacons. Family get togethers offer abundant opportunities to discuss matters of doctrine.

So you're a half-Catholic, Jewish monotheist trinitarian.

Interesting.

Some people think so.
Steve Martin would call you a half-double, decaffeinated half-caf ... with a twist of lime.

You believe this despite the fact that no Scripture verse explicitly teaches that.

Sad that you deny 1,000's of verses than identify god in the singular (including singular pronouns) for this anti-Scriptural belief you somehow got, especially with many verses explicitly identifying Jesus as the son of God.

Again, this is a repeat of "But 3 Cannot Be 1".

And there are very clear passages which tell us Who Jesus is. Your denial aside.

The plain saying of plainly stated Scripture.

The Word was with God, the Word was God . . . the Word became flesh . . . And His Name is called the Word of God. Many more.

Anyway, we're seriously going in circles here.

Much love!

Thanks.

Why isn’t that your belief @RLT63?
It's something I have to do more research on. The Father is not the Son or the Holy Spirit, Jesus is not the Father or the Holy Spirit, and the Holy Spirit is not the Father or the Son but all are God. But the Trinitarian position is that Jesus is Yahweh. I think they are distinct, the Word was with God and the Word was God. Let us make a man in our image. But the Trinitarian position is they are the same Is Jesus Yahweh? Is Jesus Jehovah? | GotQuestions.org I'm sure GEN2REV believes Jesus is Yahweh

Again, 3 cannot be 1. Not because I say it because Jesus is NOT God according to Scripture but the son of the only God.

Listen, Israel: Yahweh is our Elohim. Yahweh (not Jesus) is the only God.
