If anyone desires to learn about pretrist teachings Don K Preston has been one for a long time.

Whether or not Jesus had come back or not is not a hill die on, but it does make a difference if one decides to learn about it, because if pretism is right, this would mean the materially going to church is done with and everything is predicated off the Holy Spirit and your relationship with God through the Holy Spirit by faith in Christ is subjective between you and God.

If pretrism is not true then everything in the gospels and the church all need to follow everything down to the T.

my last advice would be this as I am going through some studies now.

About the dating of Revelation, and admittedly all the books of the NT are debatable.

What one needs to do is

1: Check the content of what is said in the NT Books,

2 and then look at context - who was written to , what was said - then check around Secular history around the same time period to get internal evidences - not external evidences to prove when the date was - far more important to the dating of the revelation...

Whether Jesus has came or not, in accordance with the revelation and what he had taught and his apostles taught is not a hill to die on.

Many people make it a hill to die on as you can clearly see from the finger pointing, and people believing they need to give warnings to people who think differently.

It’s not gonna change me not to have love towards God and not have love for others, which is the two greatest commandments taught by Jesus Himself.

I did, I was totally under the impression without proper understanding or even considering, that revelation was something to them then in that time is that when Jesus came back in our day in age now of 21 century we would see Jesus return in the clouds, to gather people back up.

I remember clearly expressing and sharing this belief of the event with my friend who was a Jehovah witness, one day at work and was working up this big scene for him…

It brings me joy to know that I was indeed wrong and that Jesus was not playing around about that generation whom he was talking to, from what the Bible records of the account in which Jesus had spoke too.

Is did we have love, even through all the massive things people may teach or adhere to, did we love God and did we love others. It’s highly important over any amount of knowledge to be humble and lowly, and even let people believe what they will with no demanded authority.

The only time I seen Jesus call someone out was always the religious Pharisees. Which today sometimes people use the Bible as their authority over people to control others… I don’t like that just as much as Jesus did not like it back then.

Yes, it is a strange thing that we come together with different gifts and many go beyond with conjecture and opinions and beliefs and emotions, most of which is of little service, even doing harm--the cause of weeping and gnashing of teeth. But also each generation has what is true coming from God by those who are actually sent, that all truth and knowledge should increase against the tide of evil also present until the end of times.

Mine is the end, for which I have been given of my portion in God. We speak what we know..., even little or nothing, but all according to what God has ordained.
