@Johann @farouk @marks @Pearl one question on Isaiah 9:6 for now
The orthodox Christian doctrine of the Trinity holds that God is one Essence in three Persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. However, Isaiah 9:6 calls the Messiah “the everlasting Father.” How can Jesus be both the Father and the Son?
God himself could never do this, He could never dwell in corrupting flesh - boy He cant even look upon sin!
If Jesus was sinless (which I agree) how did Christ represent us on the tree? Thanks Face2Face for the challenge regarding IICor.5.21.
Looking at two verses prior, IICor.5.19, Paul says "..not imputing their trespasses unto them..".
Thus our trespasses as believers in Christ were
imputed to Christ, and thus was he regarded by God as the guilty one that had committed them - but Jesus did not become inherently sin or sinful.
Regards blessed brother
J
Speaking of a resurrected Christ agree.Heb.13.8 "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever".
I wont touch that...sounds like another non biblical idea...kinda like the trinity lolinherent infusion.
I was wanting others to attempt to explain my question first. You are already partly answering it in a round-about way. So now they have a big hint you have given them....;)Not hard really.
Isaiah 8:17-18 quoted in Hebrews 2:13.
If Yahweh gives us, His Children to His beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, what does Jesus become?
Notice his position as Father was given on the basis of his obedience to God - i.e a reward i.e something Jesus did not have before he existed!!!!
Sorry @APAK I see you didnt attention that to me oops.
In short, he cannot be as trinitarian doctrine pronounces.
@Johann if you don't read the Bible for yourself and quote Scripture with Scripture you will never come to a correct understanding of Jesus Christ.[/QU

You're not alone...many have been deceived as Paul prophesied would happen. Find your pre-creedal faith Johann - pre creedal...the answers are there - rest well.As to the Triune Godhead nothing is going to convince me otherwise.
Shalom, J.
Isaiah 53:1-12If Jesus was sinless (which I agree) how did Christ represent us on the tree?

Isaiah 53:1-12
[1]Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
[2]For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
[3]He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
[4]Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
[5]But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
[6]All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
[7]He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
[8]He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
[9]And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
[10]Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
[11]He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
[12]Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
If Jesus was sinless (which I agree) how did Christ represent us on the tree?
Yes that is correct. We have two words to use, Father and Son, and who is superior, Father or Son. Is the Son of endless time greater than the Father of endless time?
28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed...
Do you agree with Thomas or do you doubt him?
Sorry to say this, as a JW" witness you would concur with them.
Jesus the Christ is God.

I know in Whom I have entrusted myself, you don't Robert.

It puzzles me immensely that anyone can think Messiah is NOT God..
J.
He was the firstborn of creation. When was Jesus begotten?
J.
21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.Oh boy
