Did you know that God can fill someone with the Holy Ghost to persuade them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins?

To be water baptized in taking the first seps in being His disciples yes, but for the remission of sins, no. How can they receive the Holy Ghost then if they are not clean by that remission of sins which is by the baptism of the Holy Ghost?

Is this below the prophesy of the New Covenant of what God will do?

Ezekiel 36:24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land. 25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you. 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. 28 And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

Is this not confirming that God does the saving whenever any one believes in Him below?

Titus 3:4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

If water baptism was necessary, then it would be by a work of righteousness which we have done, but it is not.

Do you understand that the Spirit was prophesied to change one's heart towards God.

Did you know that only the Holy Ghost can allow you to be baptized via Acts 2:38?

We shall be led by the holy Spirit to be disciples of Jesus Christ and the first step is water baptism in His name, but it is not for salvation.

Did you know that most Christians are blinded by the Holy Ghost from Acts 2:38 because of the hardness of their heart?

I do not believe the holy Spirit does the blinding but believers not willing to believe they are wrong about water baptism being essential for salvation can be a blindness in and of itself. Jesus cannot be called the Saviour if water baptism apart from Him, saves too.

Does Acts 2:38 say this?...

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Or this?...

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and RECEIVE THE HOLY GHOST for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Which one makes sense to you?

I am not denying Peter said be water baptized in Acts 2:38, but I am denying water baptism is what he had meant for Jewish believers to gain the remission of sins BECAUSE repent as in repenting from unbelief by believing in Him is how the Jews had received the remission of sins because this same Peter said so plainly to the Gentiles without even mentioning water baptism until after they were born again of the Spirit and thus saved before water baptism.

You have to deal with the inconsistency of Peter's message on how to actually receive the remission of sins between the two incidents & you need His wisdom to see that it was repenting from unbelief by believing in Him was how the Jews had actually received the remission of sins because that is what Peter plainly stated how Gentiles were to receive the remission of sins by simply believing in Him WITHOUT mentioning water baptism at all for that effect for the remission of sins.

Blindness in part has not just happened to Israel as per Romans 11, but to Christians also.
We were blind and then God gave us sight. A Christian is defined by being a believer in Christ, born again and so is not blind any more. The Jews were blinded for our sake. There is no such thing as a blind Christian - that is an oxymoron! There are Christians who are infants, don't have much knowledge of Christ, but in time, the Spirit grows them in maturity.

Repent by believing in Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, then ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost and then get water baptized in Jesus name.

That is what Peter actually meant since he said to the Gentiles to believe in Him for the remission of sins with no mention of water baptism for that effect. It was after they were born again of the Spirit which was for identifying publicly that not only are they believers in Jesus Christ but His disciples in following Him too..

Most Christians are blind to obeying Acts 2:38.

They are not affiliated with the church found in Acts.

They prefer modern organizations instead.

That is Acts 2:38 back-masking.

It is illegal to read the Bible backwards.

Good point. Im the day if Pentecist, three thousand believed and were baptized by the Holy Spirit. I believed and was baptized by the Holy Spirit _ before _ I got water baptized, which is a public testimony, an act of obedience and submission, identifying yourself with Christ ceremonially, with a physical washing that is symbolically representative of an inner spiritual cleansing.

op: anti acts_2:38?
NO, some of us are not, since it IS IN The Scripture; let us ask: WHY?...:

1) ...are you ANTI obeying "Christ's Command to SELL EVERYTHING
AND follow HIM"? The twelve and ALL believers at Pentecost obeyed!
(Acts 2:44-45; 4:32-37)

Consequences of Disobedience To CHRIST's Commandment!
(Acts 5:1-11) We should ALL "be DEAD," Correct?

2)...are you ANTI obeying "...to OBSERVE ALL That I (CHRIST!) Have
COMMANDED
you..." [in YOUR "great commission"] (Mat_28:19-20)? ie:

"Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, The scribes
and the Pharisees sit in Moses' [Law] seat: ALL therefore whatsoever they
bid you observe, that observe and do
; but do not ye after their works: for
they say, and do not." (Mat_23:1-3)

Thousands of Jewish BELIEVERS, who LOVED Christ AND Obeyed HIM
had NO "Such ANTI-Obedience" problem that MANY have today!:

"And when they heard it, they glorified The LORD, and said unto him,
Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which
believe; and they are ALL zealous of The [Moses'] Law:
" (Acts_21:20)

So, WHY accuse others of "anti acts_2:38," when you are ANTI-OBEYING
ALL the rest That Christ Commanded, Under The LAW, besides water?

Isn't it true that God Commanded us to "study" to resolve ALL
this CONFUSION, "to be Approved Unto HIM" (2 Timothy 2:15)?:

God's Approval/TWO Gospels In Prophecy vs Mystery
"Distinctions" of Prophecy vs MYSTERY

GRACE and Peace!
Amen?

Actually, per Romans 6, baptism in the name of Jesus is our burial with Christ. It is impossible to be born again without being buried first.

Then write Peter & me a ticket then, because Peter did say by believing in Him is how the Gentiles had received the remission of sins. Acts 10:43-44
You just got an Acts skipper ticket.

It is per the penal code 2:38 of skipping Acts 2:38 and misusing Acts 10, attempting to debunk Peter's command with Peter's command.

how is it that despite being baptized and repenting often, i am not saved??
If you were baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, you are saved...your sins are officially remitted by Jesus' name, and you are officially buried with him via water baptism in his specific name.

If you are not, fix it today.

More like clarifying Peter's command in Acts 2:38 as he clearly stated to the Gentiles how they were to receive the remission of sins by believing in Him & they got the gift of the Holy Ghost in Acts 10:43-44 thus born again of the Spirit and saved ay before water baptism.

You know you are saved the moment you had come to & believed in Jesus Christ for salvation, right?

According to the conflicting sayings of the WCF catechism:

Confession of Faith: The Orthodox Presbyterian Church

"CHAPTER 14
Of Saving Faith
1. The grace of faith, whereby the elect are enabled to believe to the saving of their souls, is the work of the Spirit of Christ in their hearts, and is ordinarily wrought by the ministry of the Word, by which also, and by the administration of the sacraments, and prayer, it is increased and strengthened.

2. By this faith, a Christian believeth to be true whatsoever is revealed in the Word, for the authority of God himself speaking therein; and acteth differently upon that which each particular passage thereof containeth; yielding obedience to the commands, trembling at the threatenings, and embracing the promises of God for this life, and that which is to come. But the principal acts of saving faith are accepting, receiving, and resting upon Christ alone for justification, sanctification, and eternal life, by virtue of the covenant of grace.

3. This faith is different in degrees, weak or strong; may be often and many ways assailed, and weakened, but gets the victory: growing up in many to the attainment of a full assurance, through Christ, who is both the author and finisher of our faith. ~~~ "

I believe if they remove the "by which also, and by the administration of the sacraments, and prayer, it is increased and strengthened." it would not so conflicting in reaching its conclusion about saving faith.

the WCF is not conflicting. The WCF is explanatory.

Actually, per Romans 6, baptism in the name of Jesus is our burial with Christ. It is impossible to be born again without being buried first.
It is a spiritual birth. We died to our old selves/ways, yet we haven't been buried yet. We render ourselves as dead, yet sin still dwells in the members of our flesh. Our spirit is pure. We are waiting our full redemption, death amd resurrection. There is a tension between the two realms. My Pastor used to say we are in the "already but not yet" realm.
